Ronn and I made it to Monaco and the weather is absolutely gorgeous. Our flight was smooth and pleasant, but we missed our connecting flight to Nice and had to take a later one, which made our arrival at about 1am Sunday morning. By the time we went to bed it was 3am. We had been up a total of about 32 hours by then and was sooo tired. This was my second visit to Monte Carlo/Monaco and Ronn’s third. My last visit was about 10 years ago and his was about 4. Monday late morning Ronn joined Ashley Jones, Doug Davidson and Michelle Stafford for a private luncheon with contest winners from all over Europe. It was at the beautiful Monte Carlo Bay hotel. After lunch, Ronn and I were so tired, we took a nap and didn’t wake up until later in the evening. We went to dinner and back to sleep. Then Ronn discovered he had blown out the charger to our video camera by using the wrong converter, so not like him. Made me feel better for forgetting my phone, but nevertheless, we need a new charger to continue taking video of our trip. Today Ronn is busy all day with Press, so I went to the mall to get a new one, but they didn’t have one for this camera, so I’m not sure what we will do now? Tonight we are having cocktails at the Prime Minister’s house and tomorrow night we meet Prince Albert at the palace. Thursday we go to Sanremo for a photo shoot with Ronn and then we have the award show in the evening. I will post again later and hopefully have some better news about our camera situation.
Ronn and I had a blast at the taping of the “Heroes Among Us Awards” last night on the back lot of the Universal Studios. This show honored ordinary people who did heroic things, even a dog who helped save a woman’s life after a car accident. It was hosted by Dean Cain and honored celebrities like Nancy Davis who is doing so much to help find a cure for MS and Kathy Ireland who’s charity feed the children has helped so many children to not go to bed hungry around the world. There was great food and lots of friends we caught up with like my pal Kira Reed and her husband Bob Lorsh. You may check out the pics
and watch the awards on July 7 at 8pm when it airs on a mynetworktv channel.
Almost 25 years ago I had the privilege to model for this family owned and operated company. We went to Hawaii for a wonderful photo shoot and their company was only a year old. Today they are celebrating their 25th anniversary and even discovered my pal Cindy Margolis when she won a Ujena contest. Boy, time sure does fly, but it seems like yesterday. I’m happy to have reconnected with my Ujena family and want to share my new Ujena page with you guys to check out. They have some killer swimsuits and I’m bringing mine with me to Europe to shoot some pics in and post. So check out this Ujena link and leave a comment!
I hope everyone is having a relaxing safe memorial day. Please take the time to remember those who died for our freedom. I also want to tell you guys about the most amazing product I have discovered. This is a product that is truly life changing. I’ve been on it for over a month and have tons of energy and have lost a whole dress size. I am back to a size four and will look great for my trip to Europe. Please check out this video and consider taking charge of your health and well being. I promise you will not be disappointed.
My book, “The Naked Truth About A Pinup Model” will be released in June and I have 150 copies to sign, so if you want to preorder your copy from my newly designed website , you may go to the merchandise area and do so before June 15th. The book will be available on Amazon.com, Borders Books and Barnes and Noble. It includes my exclusive interview with legend, Bettie Page and lots of photos from my modeling career. I wrote this book because so many girls have been asking me over the years, how to get into Playboy, how to break into movies and television and how to in general have a career such as mine? So that inspired me to write this as the definitive handbook for any model interested in pinup modeling and for fans who want to know the truth about what being a pinup model is all about. I realized there wasn’t a guide for those models, so everything you need to know or want to know about pinup modeling is in there. I share my own experiences and shed the truth about the Playboy mansion, as well as give you insight on how to brand your image. There are quotes from Hugh Hefner, Bettie Page and Mamie Van Doren, Cindy Margolis, Julie Strain, Olivia and Sandra Taylor, as well as, Playboy photographers Arny Freytag, David Mecey and Ken Marcus. I hope this book helps any model out there have a successful career as a pinup model and is an inspiration to those fans of pinup that have made legends such as Bettie Page and Marilyn Monroe. Please reserve your autographed copy now, they will be shipped after June 15th and you will get a copy before they hit the bookstands!
Last night Ronn and I had our second annual “Potluck Jamma Jam” party and I think it was our best party ever! PLAYER was the focus of the Jam, unlike the past Jam parties in which we had a variety of musician just get up and jam. I wanted some close friends and neighbors to experience what I’ve been seeing in rehearsals with them lately. Peter Beckett sang better than I’ve ever seen him and the synergy of their vibe was amazing. Drummer Ron Wixo who has played with “Foreigner” flew in from Austin to Jam and was he kickass! We had some new friends visit for the first time like soap stars Michelle Stafford, Brandon Beemer, Nadia Bjorlin, Don Diamont and Christian LeBlanc. My friend Corey Feldman and his wife Suzi stopped by also. It was a beautiful day and so I started the party out by the pool since we had lots of kids present and we moved inside at sunset. Since it was potluck, everyone brought food and there were tons of it, so it was hard to get people out of our kitchen and into the garage where the jam was happening, but once they were in there, they were hooked. We even had our little flower girl kick off the jam with “Twinkle Twinkle little Star” and she’s only 2 years old, along with Mackenzie Cregan who is 12 sang “Hot Leggs” and “Johnny B Goode” as well as, a neighborhood band joined in. With over 100 people in attendance I am pooped out today, but it was so much fun hanging with all my girlfriends and new friends that I’m already planning another one. This one will be filmed and we will do it to raise money for New Orleans. I’m calling it a “Kickass Cajun Jam” with Cajun food and surprise musical guest. So all of you are invited to come to our next jam party. I’m just starting to plan it, so I’ll keep you posted on when and where and how you can attend. We will presell tickets and this will be an exclusive event and it will be filmed. It will also be a chance for you to try some awesome Cajun food and “Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning” if haven’t done so already! So please check out for details on it soon!
I’m doing some spring cleaning and parting with all sorts of things, including a precious and very special 1 carat pear shaped diamond in 14k gold! I will include a note on what it means to me and exactly why I’m parting with it. I am also putting up designer dresses, shoes and rare photos. Ronn also has some awesome photos up for grabs and I’m trying to get him to clean out his closet and part with another scarf! So check out our Ebay auctions to see for yourself.
It’s been over a decade since I last visited my home state of Louisiana and I can’t wait to have a great bowl of gumbo and some crawfish. We will also introduce “Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning” to some of the locals and video tape the progress of the reconstruction down there . Ronn will be busy doing an appearance with other soap stars Winsor Harmon and Christian LeBlanc who are also native Cajuns. So I will be in good company. We promise to take lots of pics and video to share on our website Love DevRonn
I can’t believe Easter is already here. It’s always been a favorite holiday of mine. I just love wearing a pretty Easter dress and hunting for Easter eggs. There is no better place to do that than the Playboy mansion and that’s where Ronn and I will be on Sunday. Since we don’t have the kids this year, it will be just the two of us and we plan to spend a quiet evening together. I will no doubt cook something yummy using our spice and probably watch a movie. Our roses are starting to bloom and everything is looking so green due to all the rain we have been getting. This has always been my favorite time of year. Ronn and I have decide to grow our own garden of vegetables and I’m excited about that. Looking forward to warmer weather and BBQs with friends. Hope you all have a wonderful Easter!!
Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would love pole dancing as much as I do. I have never been the most athletic person, but found this cool studio and have been addicted. It was so challenging at first for me and I had bruises on my legs for nearly a year. But, once I got the moves down, it was so much fun and the best exercise ever! My whole body was sore at first, but then I built up my upper body strength and my core with pilates, and now I’m flying around that pole two to three times a week. Pole dancing has become a part of my life now and I highly suggest it if you want to get flexable and build strength and confidence. My goal is get my body in the best shape ever and have fun doing it, so I think I’m achieving that now. Ronn and I still work out together at the gym a couple days a week, which is always fun, but I can’t believe how much I have already achieved with pole dancing. So if you haven’t tried it, you don’t know what you are missing. Check out the studio that is for women only and look at the video to see what I’m talking about.
I went to see the movie “12 Rounds” tonight with my friend and neighbor Wally Crowder. He was the guy driving the trolley car and also coordinated that whole trolley car stunt. Wally is also the stunt coordinator on “Desperate Houswives” among other TV shows. I thought the movie was action packed, but felt it should have been called “6 Rounds” instead of 12 because I was getting a little bored by round 5. The Trolley car stunt was the best part of the movie and I thought my pal Wally did a great job as an actor too. I also took some great pics today that I will put up on Ebay soon. It was my first time in front of the camera in a while and it was a lot of fun. Of course, Ronn took the photos and they look awesome!
I don’t watch alot of television, too busy with kids, school runs, cooking and running DevRonn. So when I was asked if I would be interested in having my own reality show, I hesitated. Then I started watching some of the reality shows on TV and decided that if I could do a show that was entertaining, unique and positive then I would consider it. I guess when it rains it pours because not only are we pitching my own series to a variety of networks such as E and Lifetime, but now my dear friend and one of my bridesmaids Cindy Margolis has her own show on FOX and wants me on it. I am also guesting on a couple of other new reality shows airing this fall and so I guess the reality of it is making me even busier than usual with wedding plans and all. I’m not complaining because I am sure I will have a blast doing everything. Ronn never has time to watch television, not even his own show, so this is all rather new for him. Personally I don’t know how he memorizes 57 pages of lines a day. I could never do that. I haven’t concentrated on modeling or acting in so long that being in front of the camera will be a little strange for me. I will keep everyone posted on the progress and let you know when to look for me on reality TV.
Okay we started this blog to express ourselves more often about a variety of things. We are excited to announce the opening of our new DevRonn store with an amazing variety of merchandise. There are T-shirts, hats, stickers, coffee mugs, wall clocks, doggy bowls, journals, aprons, jogging outfits and even infant clothing available at our store Ronn and I are so excited to visit New Orleans in April. It will be my first visit back there in over a decade. I’m so looking forward to some great Cajun gumbo and crawfish. So if you haven’t checked out our site or tried “Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning” now is the time. We promise you won’t be disappointed and know that every purchase of our products is helping the great city of New Orleans rebuild from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.
