On August 23, 2005, Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and devastated that region with 175 mph winds that left over 1836 people dead and cost over $100 billion dollars in damages. Many people lost their homes and relocated. This was one of the deadliest and costliest natural disasters in US history. Since then many people have been able to return to their home town thanks to the efforts of the “Make It Right” foundation and Brad Pitt’s passion for New Orleans. The first star studded fund raiser for “Make It Right” was hosted in New Orleans by Brad Pitt, Randy Jackson and Ellen DeGeneres. They showed us the progress that is being made with Green energy efficient homes that has enabled many native Louisianians to return home. This amazing technology has helped many other displaced people all over the world with these kinds of homes and I’m happy to be a part of this with “Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning.” It seems the region is coming back and will be stronger and better as time goes on. We are very proud to have participated in the first gala for “Make It Right.” All the performances by Sheryl Crow, Rhianna, Snoop Dog, Seal and Kanye West were amazing and the show will be broadcast later. The gala was totally first class and one of the most fun charity events we have ever attended. Ronn chatted with Portia DeRossi as I re connected with Sean Penn and Randy Jackson, who is from my home town of Baton Rouge. We had the best Cajun food prepared by Emeril and surprise appearances by Football hero Drew Brees and Dr. Drai. There was an open bar and the party went on all night long, so needless to say we didn’t want to miss any of it. By the end of the evening, Ronn was hanging with Jamie Foxx and Rhianna, while I partied with my home girls. One of my first college roommates came to visit me from Baton Rouge. We had not seen each other in 24 years! But that’s okay, because those are my life long friends that I cherish and we know it doesn’t matter if we don’t see each other, we are always there in each other’s heart. That’s how we are in Louisiana. If you are a friend, you are family and the passage of time just doesn’t matter.  It made me so proud to see how much New Orleans loves Ronn as walked around the French Quarter listening to Jazz, stopping for Beignets and eating lots of gumbo.  The culture is still there and the pride of Louisiana is still there, hell it’s a miracle that the French Quarter is still there! When Katrina hit New Orleans I cried and I wanted to do something to help rebuild it, thus “Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning” was born. I’m happy to see there are others that feel as passionate about New Orleans as me and it’s amazing to the see the progress when we all do a little bit to help. We now have several people helping us get our spice into restaurants and supermarkets. It made us so happy to be able to  donated 1000 spices to the gala’s gift bags and we helped to raise over $14,000!  That was small compared to other sponsors like Google, but we will most certainly be back next year bigger and better. Thank you to everyone who helped and participated.  We are the spice that’s “Making It Right” in New Orleans so please spread the word and help us to continue.[wpvideo J1rs8eC0]

When it comes to birthdays, Ronn is not traditional at all. He doesn’t like the fuss and really doesn’t like birthday cake. It’s hard to surprise him because he hates surprises and wants to know what’s going on. This was a big birthday and I wanted to have something extra special for him, but due to his crazy work schedule and the fact that it was also a big birthday for Creason the week before, we just decided to combine them with a low key BBQ and few neighbors and friends. This is just so Ronn and I just gave him exactly what he wanted this year. Our neighbor Sue made a delicious carrot cake, which is the only cake that Ronn likes and our neighbor Bill was awesome on the Grill with his beer can chicken. I cooked up some red beans and rice in honor of Mardi Gras along with some various appetizers. It turned out to be a beautiful sunny day out by the pool and later Peter Beckett and Ronn did some acoustic music in the garage with “Quiet Riot” drummer Frankie Banali joining in. Our dear friend Julian Jackson filmed the whole party and we will have a edit of it to post soon. This really cheered Ronn up from the saddness of so many amazing talents that have passed away recently. Davy Jones, Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson, to name a few have passed way to early for us. It has brought new meaning to every birthday for Ronn. Even though he is in amazing shape and very healthy, he realizes each birthday is another gift and another reason to celebrate still being here. His mom died at age 63 when he was just 18. So for Creason to turn 18 and he 60, hit an emotional milestone for him and the importance for close friends and family around him is all he wanted this birthday. Because Ronn is such a popular guy we cannot simply have one birthday party. We must celebrate all month long with various friends to really let him feel close to those he love and adore. So this is just the first for a few more birthday celebrations. Our friend and Australian artist Brett Livingston Strong who painted Michael Jackson gave Ronn a very special painting of a Geisha girl that Michael Jackson drew. Only two exist and they belong now to Ronn and Michael’s mother Katherine. Today Ronn went to a celebrity party at “The House of Blues” in Hollywood for a live Facebook streaming concert of the “Blues Brothers” celebrating 30 years since John Belushi’s death. I watched the stream from our bedroom in my PJs and really enjoyed it. Ronn hung out with Dan Ackroyd, Jim Belushi, Director John Landis and Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. He’s now very excited at the possibility of PLAYER doing a concert like this in the near future. I know for his many International fans that this will be a big treat. Who knows maybe you can join his birthday festivities live with us as we continue to celebrate throughout this month!  So I want to personally  thank you very much for all your gifts and birthday blessings for our extraordinary Ronn that we all adore so much. I know we would all love to have him around another 60 years!

For the first time Ronn and I watched almost all of the major Oscar nominated movies and our favorite was “The Decendants.” I was surprised it didn’t take home best picture, however we did enjoy “The Artist” very much too. We haven’t seen “Hugo” yet, so that is a must on our list. I thought “Iron Lady” was an okay movie, but loved Meryl Streep’s performance and thought she should indeed win best actress. We loved “The Help” and Octavia Spencer did steal that movie and I also thought she was a sure thing for Best supporting actress. All in all, Billy Crystal was great as a host, he always is. I wasn’t floored by any of the dresses on the red carpet, although Angelina Jolie looked great, she looked rather thin and what was up with the leg thing? Seems she was trying too hard, which in my opinion a more subdued approach is always best. I just think Natalie Portman is adorable and although I love Emma Stone, I hated her dress. We spent our Oscar night at the Playboy mansion, which is always fun because it’s like family there. We have so many terrific friends to catch up with there and the food is always terrific. Think next year we may just have our own Oscar bash!

Like many of you today I watched the moving church service of Whitney Houston’s funeral on TV. I’m sure like many of you tears were shared and memories of that voice rang in your favorite songs. I felt close to her even though I never met her. She was the same age as me and I remember vividly the moment she came on the scene back in 1985. That was a special year for me as well. I related to her beautiful smile and her vivacious energy. She was one of a kind and such a beauty. Someone every little girl looked up to hope to be. She was a model, a musical talent and an actress, she had it all. We watched her grow, mature, get married, have a baby and fall from grace. But, we never stopped loving her and wishing for her to overcome her demons and make it back to those glory days. Everyone loved Whitney! She had that spark, that magical thing that you can’t describe, but everyone knew she was a shining star. Like Michael Jackson she was taken from us too soon, but will live on in our hearts and in song. I had the honor of watching her perform at the 1986 American Music Awards in person. She opened the show and you were mesmerized by this amazing talented beautiful woman. Our prayers go out to her daughter Bobbi Kristina and even though Whitney has gone to heaven, she will never be forgotten. Whitney we will always love you!

Valentine’s Day is here and it’s safe to say love is in the air. We saw it firsthand when we attendedthe engagement party of Sean Kanan and his bride to be, Michelle Vega. Sean plays Deacon Sharpe on “The Young and The Restless” and use to play that character on “The Bold and The Beautiful” for years before. It was nice to see Winsor Harmon, Jennifer Finnigan and Kim Matula there to celebrate the lovebirds. We watched a funny rap video that Sean did with Ronn and Josh Morrow called, “I’m A Soap Star.” I think I may have had a bit too much fun because I’m now down for the count with a cold, so I’m resting and trying to get better before Valentine’s day is here. So here’s to all you lovebirds wishing you a happy Valentine’s Day!

Dev & Jeff

Ronn and I attended the birthday party of a longtime dear friend of mine, producer, writer, Jeff Franklin. Jeff created the TV series “Full House” with John Stamos and I’ve known Jeff since he was a writer on “The Garry Shandling Show” which was my first appearance on a sitcom.

Ronn, John Stamos and Jeff Franklin

Over the years, Jeff has had some really great parties and is just an overall super nice guy that everyone adores. So we were honored to join the company of singer Bobby Brown, Mike Love of “The Beach Boys” and of course John Stamos who all performed, along with the band, “The Spazmatics.” If you guys haven’t seen The Spazmatics, they are a bunch of guys who dress up as geeks, but sing their asses off on cover songs from the 80s. You just can’t help but get up and dance!

Kato Kailen

Jeff’s home is one of the most spectacular custom homes in Beverly Hills, with amazing views and the food at his place is always to die for! Needless to say, Ronn and I had a blast and didn’t actually get home til the wee hours of the morning. Jeff and I have a little custom with our birthdays over so many years. Since we are both big Elvis fans; I usually give him something to add to the massive Elvis room collection that he has and he usually gives me something from one of my favorite stores, “Nicole Miller.” However, this year Jeff did not want presents and asked that we donate to his favorite charity Operation USA to those who really could use help. So here is to another great birthday party thrown by my awesome friend Jeff! Happy Birthday!!

Michael Moebius & DevRonn
Brequet Party

Ronn and I had a fun time with our German artist friend Michael Moebius at the Breguet Watch party in Beverly Hills last night.  We then had dinner at “Housewives of Beverly Hills”  Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant, “Villa Blanca.”

Michael & Ronn

Whenever Michael comes to visit, we have 3D photos to look forward to and as you guys know, Ronn is a camera buff. So he and Michael always have a fun time.

Seeing Hef and old friends like musician, Ray Anthony is always special. Speaking of pictures, Ronn and I are gearing up to take lots of photos of each other soon.
Since I don’t model anymore, we must find the time and energy to do it. I’m really excited about this new year as it is off to a great start.
Ronn is working on an exciting new project that will be music related and I’ll let him tell you all about that later when it launches.
I am super busy already with real estate clients and trying to find the time to finish writing my next book, cookbook and working on a screenplay. As always, I will keep you informed on what’s happening here first.

We hope you all had a wonderful and safe time celebrating the arrival of 2012. We certainly did. It was great to spend it with Peter Beckett and his girlfriend Eden, along with their two sons. I cooked a fabulous dinner of cornish hens, wild rice and veggies. We managed to stay up til midnight for a champagne toast and felt totally blessed to see the dawn of another new year. Ronn and I are feeling very creative now. Ronn wants to do some music and I want to do some writing before heading back home. I have a new look to my personal website and plan to add lots of videos, pics and clothing items there this year. You can now download Ronn’s individual songs for only .99 on his website and we are excited about new things that are coming to Devronn this year. I’m working with my dear friend Kira Reed Lorsch on The Thalians next charitable event. Last year they raised 1 million dollars to benefit the mental illness of our troops and honored Hugh Hefner. So this year we hope to top that with an even bigger and better event. I’m also thrilled to help several of my dearest friends find their dream homes since I now have my real estate license and must say I’m enjoying that process. So I believe 2012 is off to a great start so far. Please note we are down to our last 400 spices of “Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning” and need to spread the word about this awesome product if you’d like to keep it around, so go to Devronn and support us by buying a spice and giving one to a friend so that we can keep it around. Remember you get a FREE autographed photo when you purchase $15 or more from Devronn. Ronn and I both appreciate your loyalty and loving support of us throughout the years and hope to have more interesting products in the future. We have so many awesome things coming your way, so stay tuned and let us know what you’d like to see more of.

I’m sure today was a day of reflection for most Americans. I know it was for me and it’s hard to believe that 10 years have flown by, however that day that will never be forgotten. It was the day we lost our innocence and it seemed like time stood still for days after that attack. That’s why we should embrace everyday of life with love and joy. It was beautiful how we came together as a nation helping those in need even though we were in pain. There is nothing we can’t achieve if we stand together. I know we are living in trying times financially and environmentally, but if we open our eyes and see how far we have come, stand together and embrace life with love and joy, we can conquer any evil that stands in our way. I’m grateful for all my loving wonderful friends, family, health, home, husband, animals and anything in life that brings out smiles of love and warmth.  Americans will stand as tall as those twin towers and continue to live life to the fullest. Here are a few of my favorite pictures taken this week from joyful moments in my life. I was reunited with two long time friends from my past that I hadn’t see in over a decade. Ronn made a new friend with the drummer Frankie Banali  from “Quiet Riot.” Frankie is also our neighbor and now engaged to a girlfriend of mine,  so I don’t think that’s a coincidence.  We look forward to making lots more memories to share.

Ronn Moss and Brad Bell

The past couple of weeks have been crazy, but fun! We headed to Vegas for the Daytime Emmys and had a great time hanging out at the B&B parties. Of course, B&B took top honors again for the 3rd year in a row as “Best Daytime Drama.” They won a total of 12 Emmys and we were so proud. It was then time for my birthday and I decided to have a few friends join us at Winsor’s latin restaurant, “D’Cache” to hear PLAYER do a few acoustic songs.

Winsor Harmon, Johnny English, Rob Math
Frank Stallone, Ronn and Devin

Frank Stallone joined in and sang a couple of Blues numbers and helped make it a very special birthday. The only bummer was that my pal Tina O couldn’t be there as she’s been so ill.

Devin

The next morning Ronn brought up all my presents to open and it felt like Christmas in June.  I then had to prepare for a stunt scene on the TV show, “Dexter” which was a lot of fun. I also just did an interview for a new Playboy TV show called, “Playmates.” This show takes a look at what’s happening to Playmates from the past now.  So of course I talked about “Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning” and my books. It’s also been a challenge to find time in between kids to see my pal Tino O who’s been ill.  Ronn and I  went over to visit her and model some of her clothing items for her wannawear line. Ronn shot the pictures for Tina’s new website. Now we are getting ready for the 4th of July, which we will spend at the Playboy mansion. Since Hef’s wedding did not happen, we are anxious to see him. It really feels like summer now and we are preparing to have a few parties of our own.  I’d like to have just my girlfriends over for a potluck and a BBQ with a few neighbors and their kids.  Ronn and I aren’t planning to travel this summer, we’d rather stay home since we traveled so much last year. So the summer madness will continue as we party all summer long!

Ronn and I have been having a blast with our friends the past few weeks. Hanging out with dear friends like my pal

Alana Curry

Alana for her awesome birthday bash and attending events like the celebrity gun shoot where we met new friends like. “Leave It to Beaver” star Jerry Mathers and “Housewives of Orange County”, Peggy and Micha Tanous.

Peggy, Micha, Dev

We have been having a great time and looking forward to summer.  As always, it’s a busy time for us with charities, parties, events and kids. Starting with “The Daytime Emmys” in Las Vegas. Ronn is presenting and it’s the day after Hugh Hefner’s wedding and that’s one wedding we are looking forward to! Then there’s my birthday and that’s followed by the 4th of July! So it’s going to be a fun summer! I am not planning any trips and would like to stay home and entertain with some small intimate dinner parties. I will also work on a new cookbook that is gluten-free and dairy free since I’m loving my new eating habits and am enjoying making up new recipes.

Ronn

Ronn wants to work on music and prepare for more tour dates with PLAYER. We are also making some needed repairs to our home and I’d love to redecorate some rooms. Now that I’m officially a California licensed realtor I hope to perhaps make some sales in this slow real estate market. In the meantime, I am happy to work on my next book, edit more videos for youtube and enjoy the upcoming summer with parties and events. We hope whatever you have planned this summer will be fun and exciting too!

As most of you know, I’ve been studying for the past few months for my salesperson’s real estate license. It’s been trying because I’ve been waiting for the state to give me a test date, so that put a bit of stress on me on top of dealing with taxes, kids and events. It’s such a relief to have finally taken that test and I’ll know by next week if I passed. During the past few months, my health hasn’t been the best. I’ve been on hormone replacement therapy for a few months now and things are getting better, but my blood sugar had sky rocketed to the borderline of diabetes and that was scary. So my doctor has put me on a strict detox program for the next three weeks. I must stay away from dairy, sugar, wheat and liquor.  I  have  two liquid meals of this detox powder, fiber, greens and berries, along with one lunch, in which, I can have 6 0z of chicken, salmon, beans or lean organic beef and that’s it! So Ronn and the girls are helping me out by feeding themselves so I’m not tempted. It’s been three days and so far I’m handling it pretty well. I know it’s important to my health and I’m really being quite strict with it, along with drinking 80 ounces of water a day. I also workout 4-6 days a week and want to get my body, mind and spirit back in balance before my 48th birthday next month. Sometimes I have so much going on and my focus is on everything else that I neglect really taking care of me. So it’s nice to be quiet and focus on doing that now. I had a fun time working with my friend stunt coordinator Wally Crowder on the HBO show, “Hung” the other day. I did a stunt in a restaurant scene in which

Anne Heche
Thomas Jane

Thomas Jane punches out a guy who is on a date with his ex-wife played by Anne Heche. The guy fall onto the next table in which I’m sitting at and falls on me! I’ve done a few stunts, mostly driving, but nothing dangerous. It’s really fun for me cause I learn new things and get to hang out with my pal Wally and meet new people. I’ve never seen “Hung” before and look forward to watching it now.  Last week Ronn and I were in Cabo for

Shawna and Lorenzo Lamas Craig

Lorenzo Lamas’ wedding to Shawna Craig. We were both in the wedding party and had a great time, then today I was surprised to get a

Hef and Crystal's wedding invite

wedding invitation to Hef’s wedding on June 18th. His wedding will be televised and should be a blast, so Ronn and I are looking forward to attending. Summer is always so busy for us with events, parties and kid stuff, so I’m sure we will have a lot to share all summer long.

Ronn and I had a wonderful Easter spent at the Playboy mansion with great friends such as Playmates, Barbara Moore, Ola Ray, Victoria Fuller, Shannon Tweed, Luann Lee and Jacqueline Sheen. There is always a petting zoo for the kids and this year had exotic animals such as a baby fox, kangaroo, turtles, chicks and alligator and rabbits of course. The kids always have a blast on the Easter egg hunt for the famous hand painted eggs. Gene Simmons, Sandra Taylor, Julie McCullough and Scott Baio were just of a few celebrities joining in on all the fun. We then headed over to my pal Tina Hillstrom’s Easter dinner filled with a colorful table of ham, potato salad and yummy treats to top off an already amazing day filled with blessings. We hope your Easter was a fun filled one spent with loved ones and blessed with love and joy!

Every year at this time I like to make a list of goals that I want to achieve in the coming year. This helps me to focus and prioritize and you’d be surprised at how much you’ll get done if you look at your list everyday and put a little bit of energy into each goal. So what are your goals for the this new year? I know Ronn and I are planning on doing more videos and photo shoots to share with you! I’m studying diligently for my real estate license and plan to finish my next book. Ronn and PLAYER have lots more concerts planned and we both hope to see a lot more of our friends this year! Seems time is just flying by and with work, kids and our generally busy lives, we just don’t take the time to reflect and cherish our friends enough. Then of course we all must take the time and effort to nourish our health with good food and plenty of exercise. Since I’m recovering from the flu, I totally plan on getting back to eating healthy and can’t wait to get back to the gym! So make a list of your goals and focus on them everyday. Put a little energy into each one of them and then see how much you can achieve by the end of this year.  We are excited to give away prizes to our subscribers on youtube and DevRonn so if you haven’t signed up, now is the time! PLAYER t-shirts will be available next week in our store and we are giving one away to a lucky subscriber from our DevRonn newsletters. Also, Ronn and I will be attending the DGA awards later this month and visiting New Orleans in February.  We hope 2011 is off to a great start and that you have a wonderful and prosperous year ahead!

Potluck Christmas 2010

This past weekend marked the start of our holiday party invites. We attended Heather Tom’s annual Christmas bash and toured her fabulously decorated home. It was our first time but hopefully not our last. Heather throws a first class party! Then I hosted my all girl Potluck with some of my amazing gals. Playmates Barbara Moore, Luanne Lee and Jacqueline Sheen, along with Cindy Margolis, Fiona Horne, Tina Hillstrom and Alana Curry were some of the beauties that made our Potluck so fun and festive. I have been having these Potlucks now for over 15 years and we always have a blast! This year I had to be a little naughty and a little nice, so I dressed as a sexy Santa to keep the girls in line. Trust me, it’s not easy keeping 20 plus girls in line, especially when there are gifts to steal! There was so much fun, happy punch and laughter that we wore out Ronn, who was filming and taking pics of the whole event. No men are allowed at Potlucks, but we made an exception for Ronn due to the fact that he’s such a good camera man!  Until next year……

After spending a glorious week in Hawaii, Ronn and I were happy to sleep in our own bed. It was also wonderful to have our dear friends from Italy, Lavinia Biagiotti and her boyfriend Francesco visiting us. They made the drive out from Santa Monica and encountered a massive amount of traffic along Pacific Coast Hwy around 5pm yesterday and didn’t get to us until about 7pm for dinner. We wondered why there was so much traffic and learned that Obama was in town, so we of course thought that he was the reason. When I wake up every morning, I like to lie in bed and read the news on my ipad and the first thing I read  this morning was about the tragic death of a dear friend, renowned Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr. Frank Ryan. He was only 5o years old and died yesterday at 4:30pm when his jeep turned over on Pacific coast hwy in Malibu. This is what contributed to our Italian’s friends traffic woes getting to us yesterday, not Obama. I woke Ronn up with the news and we both were in shocked over the loss of such a dear, sweet soul. Within minutes, our phone rang and a reporter was asking me to give comments on Dr. Frank’s death. It seemed so surreal since we had just seen him at the Playboy mansion’s midsummer night dream’s party a couple weeks prior. Ronn and I celebrated his 50th birthday at his wonderful “Bony Pony Ranch” in Malibu a couple months ago and the kids always loved going there to see all the animals. Dr. Frank was just an all around great guy and a wonderful friend for many years to us both. I met him over 15 years ago when he first arrived in LA from Ohio and have watched him blossom into the ultimate plastic surgeon to the stars. I use to always ask him if I needed anything when I would see him and he would say that I made a pack with the devil because I didn’t, but that when I did he would happily attend to anything I needed. I always imagined if I were to ever have plastic surgery, Dr. Frank would be the only guy I would trust to work on me and now he’s gone and it’s just so hard to believe. We are truly going to miss him and want to send him lots of love and light . I know that everyone who knew Dr. Frank feels this way about him and world will just not be the same without him in it. It light of the tragedy, his border collie Jill was in the jeep with him and survived the crash. Jill gives new meaning to the phrase, “lucky dog.” I’m sure Dr. Frank will be in her heart and ours for a very long time.

I wanted to get a few of my girlfriends over for an all girl pow wow before the summer got to busy and thought we’d celebrate my birthday. There were about 20 of us outside by the pool and since it was getting a little too hot, we moved everyone under this cabana area to snack on finger sandwiches and champagne punch. I started opening presents and was just screaming over my purple custom made blinged out cell phone case made by my neighbor Sharyn. Then my pal Sandi Taylor wowed me with this cute bunny ring and rose colored beach bag. More bling followed with picture frames, jewelry boxes and earrings, chocolates, roses, beauty products and sexy clothing! The girls all looked so beautiful since only I would have a brunch in the middle of the week and many of my pals work or have kids to pick up. I feel so blessed to have so many amazing gals in my life. My dear friend Fiona Horne’s birthday is the day before mine, so she’s my soul sister and we blew out the candles together. Ronn had to work so he missed out on seeing all the pretty girls having a blast in our backyard, but arrived just as the last few girls were leaving. My pal Alana Curry and Fiona ended up hanging out a bit longer to chat with us around the fire pit. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day with the girls! I’m looking forward to more gatherings out by the pool this summer!

Ronn and I are looking forward to going to a couple of parties this weekend. A neighbor is having a BBQ bash tonight and you can see an awesome wireworks display from their deck. After entertaining two weekends in a row of movie nights, it’s safe to say they are a big success. Cooking for a dozen friends is a lot easier on me and give Ronn and I chance to talk to our friends. Jam parties are fun, but having a hundred or so people coming through the house makes it difficult to say more than two words to anyone. So smaller gatherings are more along the lines of what we want to continue for a while. Tomorrow we are going to the Playboy mansion for fun in the sun and Hef’s amazing fireworks. Apparently, he got a slip and slide this year and the BBQ is sooo yummy! The city of Los Angeles approves this amazing fireworks display that is always tops and it really is the place to be on the 4th. Hef didn’t do a 4th of July party last year, so we are really looking forward to it this year! Ronn and I are starting to really enjoy our pool with the girls and friends, so this Wednesday I’m celebrating my birthday with a bunch of my girlfriends with a poolside Birthday brunch. Since I was in Vegas and couldn’t celebrate with Tina, Cindy and all the great gals I know and love to party with; It was only an excuse to have an annual reunion. A lot of the girls were anxious to get together ever since the wedding festivities last year ended. Many of you have been emailing me on my website asking for autographed photos and inquiring how to send me items to sign. You may send anything you wish me to sign along with a self addressed stamped envelope and $20 cash per signature to 1336 Moorpark Rd #326, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360. I hope you all understand it is impossible to send everyone who asks Ronn or I for photos. The postage alone for such requests would make us homeless, especially since B&B is the most watched show in the World! It’s simply impossible!! So PLEASE stop sending such requests because you will not get any response. If you would like autographed photos you can purchase them on our websites or through EBAY. That’s why they are there. If you have a magazine, article or anything you wish for us to sign, you must do as I’ve stated already and send $20 cash per signature along with your self address stamped envelope to the address above. The reason this is required is so that other people cannot make a profit from our signature on EBAY. The Internet is a wonderful tool that allows us all to communicate more effectively. In the past your letters of requested photos didn’t stand a chance to even being seen by a celebrity, now because of the websites it’s possible to do so and get your requests met. But, we must all be realistic and know that postage isn’t cheap and many such requests are possible directly from celebrities, but it won’t be free, it’s simply not possible because there are thousands of you and only one of Ronn and I. With all that said, I hope you all have an amazing 4th of July and eat some yummy BBQ, stay out of trouble and see some great fireworks. July is always a super busy month for Ronn and I with parties, charity events and kids. It always seems like the summer just flies by huh? We are looking forward to sharing more pics and videos from our upcoming parties and events with you here and on our website!!

This is from our recent trip to the cutest little town called Bulgheri in Tuscany, Italy. We stayed in Bulgheri after I finished Ballando con le Stelle (Dancing with the Stars) and went to spend some time visiting my Italian dance partner, Sara Di Vaira, and her wonderful family. Sara grew up in this special scenic town. In this clip, we’re meeting Illia. She’s 92 years young. She’s the oldest person in Bulgheri and, as you can see, probably the most spry as well.[wpvideo 9dnenMkm]

It’s hard to believe almost half the year is gone! Seems like yesterday we celebrating New Year’s Eve in Rome and Ronn was embarking on the Ballando challenge. Now that it’s all behind us, we have been focusing on our home and getting it into shape for summer parties. We plan to host a variety of smaller themed dinner parties, movie nights and BBQs of course. Everyone is now asking me about the next Jam party and I know we will have one, just not sure when or where?  Seems between friends, kids and neighbors, everyone wants to Jam with Ronn and the band now. I just can’t handle hundreds of people and kids running around my home, so I’m thinking of doing a charity event that will help boost “Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning” and really help New Orleans. It just makes me so sad to see the devastation that my home state has endured. I know everyone ran to the rescue of the Haiti victims, including us, but folks we have major problems here in our own backyard to deal with and New Orleans needs your help! Ronn and I created this spice that is manufactured in Louisiana to help in a small way that we hope becomes large for this reason. We all need to do our part to preserve that area of the United States and it seems so little is being done down there? I urge you all to help us help the gulf by buying a spice and spreading the word to your friends, or buying one to give to someone as a gift. BBQ season is here and anyone who has tried the spice knows it’s amazing! So please do your part of help us help New Orleans. We are giving proceeds from the spice to Brad Pitt’s, ‘Make it Right” foundation who is already doing so much to help down there. Also, if you want to see Ronn on Dancing with the Stars here in the US, please join this facebook page#mce_temp_url# to show your support. It seems ABC has never had anyone under contract on another network on the show. So with your support we can possibly change this dumb rule they have had in the past because with the Internet anything is possible right?  Ronn and are planning to have a quiet Memorial Day weekend at home with the girls in gratitude for the men and women who died for our freedom. We wish you all a safe and great weekend.

Because so many of you have been asking for this recipe that I made up yesterday, I’ve decided to blog and post it. Really did come out delicious! I don’t use measuring utensils so you must use your own taste buds to estimate.

1 large Spaghetti Squash
1 large onion
3-4 cloves fresh garlic
3-6 small cans of chicken broth
fresh rosemary
real bacon bits
olive oil
milk

Take a spaghetti squash and put it in the oven or microwave for a few minutes to soften it. Chop an onion and a few cloves of fresh garlic and get a few cans of chicken broth. Poke the squash with a fork to see if it’s tender and then take it out and let it cool for a few minutes. Cut it in half and scoop out the seeds. Season to your liking, I of course use my spice and put face down on a cookie sheet back into the oven for 1/2 hour. Then simmer the chopped onion and garlic in a couple of Tablespoons of olive oil til tender and add the chicken broth. Take the Spaghetti squash out of the over and with a fork take out the inside so it comes out like spaghetti.

Add the squash to the broth and the fresh rosemary and bacon bits. I estimate how much depending on my taste buds. Add a dash of milk to thicken and simmer for 20 minutes stirring frequently. Then puree’ in a blender a little at a time and put back to simmer for another 15 minutes. Add a little fresh rosemary and bacon bits for garnish and serve with garlic bread. So yummy!

I just love spring time, seeing all the beautiful colorful flowers in bloom and the sunshine makes my heart sing like the birds. It also makes me want to clean out all the old stuff and allow the universe space to bring in new things. It’s been that way for me for years and seems to work. I use to hold onto everything and never wanted to part with anything. I found out that was not a good way to be. It happen for me when I had to clean out a garage that had a pile full of stuff when I moved into a new home. Sound familiar? I cried, laughed and threw away most of what was in there because I was starting fresh and clean into a new place with new memories. So I vowed to never let things pile up like that again. Especially after so many new and wonderful things started entering my life as a result of finally letting go of the past ones. It seems the older we get, the more STUFF that accumulates and is it really worth hanging onto? I figure alot of less fortunate people could use some of the STUFF I have such as clothes I haven’t worn in years, electronics that I don’t use anymore or anything that is just taking up space and collecting dust. Those things could be someone else’s treasures right now. So that’s my philosophy behind spring cleaning now. I love to reorganize my office and closet so that I can see the things I love and want to wear and keeping the office organized makes business move a lot more effectively in my opinion. I know exactly where to find receipts, etc. There is a place for everything and everything has a place. I’ve tried to get Ronn to adopt this behavior and he seems into it now. I ask him, “Do you really need 25 guitars?” He finally  sees that it’s best to keep the special ones and let the others go, so can we say EBAY? Our neighborhood is having a huge garage sale that we are all getting ready for next week, so I’m thrilled that the garage will be cleaned out and more organized. He’s also going through his closet and parting with the many leather jackets and scarves that he has collected over the last many years! This was all his idea folks! I guess he has watched me for the past few years do this and he sees the results that it brings. Trust me letting out the old stuff allows in the new stuff that could be much better for you today. Try it and I think you will see a tremendous change occur in your life.

Last weekend was a blast of fun for Ronn and I when we participated in a celebrity gun shooting tournament that benefited our troops and Veterans. The event took place in Ojai and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. We were in good company with some old friends like Erik Estrada, Tristan Rogers and some of the cast members from “The Young and The Restless.” There were some real sharp shooters in the Sporting Clays competition, pistol and trap shoots. Who knew that “The Beaver” Jerry Mathers would be taking home the highest honors? Robert Carradine was on our team and Ronn did some pretty impressive shooting to say the least. I shot very well in the pistol competition, but we all need to practice a little harder for next year to beat the “Beaver!” The NRA put on this event along with “Associated Television” who is also doing the Daytime Emmys for CBS this year in Las Vegas! These guys did last year’s Emmys and do a first class event always. Everything was fabulous and Ronn and I can’t wait until the next one. We really had a blast and I want to practice my shooting for next year. Who knows, maybe I can give the Beav a little competition?

Ronn and I are heading to Vancouver this weekend to visit a dear friend of mine who has been ill. His name is David Chan and he was a Playboy photographer for over 30 years. A native of Vancouver, David lived and worked in Chicago most of his career until his health declined in recent years. I haven’t seen him in 6 years and am excited to introduce him to Ronn. He is 80 years old now, has trouble walking and hearing, but is still the same sweet wonderful man he’s always been. I credit David for discovering me when I was attending LSU back in 1981 and he shot my first appearance in Playboy. David has never been married or has children, so we sort of adopted each other a long time ago and he truly has been like a father to me. I visited Vancouver once many years ago when I spent Christmas with David and his family. He had a lot of brothers and sisters back then who have since passed away, so I really want him to know that he has me. Ronn has never been to Vancouver, which is truly beautiful, so I’ll post pictures of our stay later. Here is an article from People magazine that I found from 1988 that tells you a little bit about David and this was pretty much how he discovered the pinup in me.

Since Easter, we have had the most amazing food and wine ever in Italy. We have visited a couple of the premier vineyards, including Sara Di Vaira’s vineyard. Here is Ronn in a photo with Sara’s father. We picked our own vegetables to cook and experienced the Tuscan way of life. The girls have loved it so much that we have opted to stay and extra day and not go to Venice. We will go back in a couple of days by train to spend our last day in the beautiful castle of Laura Biagiotti before returning home. The Tuscan part of our vacation has felt very homey. I cooked fresh picked artichokes the other day and the girls found the biggest head of cabbage we have ever seen! Last night we had a beautiful seafood dinner on the beach.  Ronn has enjoyed tasting the wines and it seems that there are a lot of tourist visiting right now for the food and wine obviously, we can understand why. Today, I will go to a spa and relax with a massage and soak in the hot springs. The weather is amazing today, so the girls are excited to pick more vegetables, including wild asparagus and will make homemade pizza. Looking forward to good weather for our last days here in Italy.

We left Roma for the quiet of the countryside a couple of days ago and went to spend some time in the ancient 1000 year old castle of designer Laura Biagiotti. It sits on 444 acres that includes it’s own amazing golf course. After having lunch with Lavinia Biaigotti, we play a game of 9 holes on the green. Lavinia got a hole in one on the first hole and thus a competition started with Ronn to see who would win. Lavinia got a hole in one on the 9th hole and thus won!  I’ll post some funny video of it later. The girls got a private golf lesson and drove the golf carts around, while I went back to the castle to study some more Italian. Then we were introduced to the Italian Easter tradition of breaking giant chocolate eggs for a surprise inside. Unlike easter baskets filled with jelly beans and colored eggs, everyone gives their friends and family a giant chocolate egg with just about anything you can imagine inside. We had fun with this process and the girls got little necklaces. Ronn got a little box that he put some beautiful gold earrings in, a gift from Laura. It was sad to say goodbye to everyone at the castle and journey on by train to Florence. Ronn wanted to introduce Michelangelo’s “David”  to the girls. Even though I had seen it before, the 17 foot tall statue never ceases to impress. I think Ronn looks alot like the David now that he’s in such great shape from dancing. We then met Sara Di Vaira and her husband who took us to a little town called,” Buti” near Pisa. We had the most amazing Tuscan dinner on Good Friday. Fresh mussels, clams and squid, pasta ravioli with truffle sauce, spaghetti with rabbit and penne pasta. Then Ronn and I had a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our hotel room, so we had to celebrate going to see the leaning tower of Pisa today. We will continue on through the beautiful Tuscan countryside and visit some vineyards, including the Di Vaira winery and spend Easter with Sara’s family.  Hope you all are having a wonderful Easter weekend. Will post more pics and video later.

Our vacation so far has been very relaxing and the weather has been fabulous! Just what the doctor ordered for Ronn, weather that is in primavera and not too hot or cold. A trip to the Spanish Steps, The Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain was the start of our first day. Walking around Rome was grand and it was funny for the girls to see how many teenagers wanted photos and autographs with their daddy. . Our dear friends Laura and Lavinia Biagiotti hosted us in their apartment near the spanish steps, which was in the center of everything. Our wonderful guide Isabella toured us around the city as we walked all day long. We had the most fabulous homemade pasta, steamed artichokes and of course vino rosso. Our second day has been another private tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel, compliments of our friend Loreto. Our neighbors Steve and Sue and their kids were in Rome for a short while during a cruise and joined us on the tour and then we had a fabulous lunch. The girls then opted to walk around some more with Ronn, while I came back to blog and rest up for dinner. We decided to take the girls today to the Villa Borghese and had a private tour of Caravaggio’s amazing work and the President’s Palace before having dinner with Actress Nancy Brilli and her husband Roy. Plans changed and we decided to rest in the castle of Laura Biagiotti tomorrow before heading by train to Florence to see the “David.” There are so many people that we have decided to go to Venice after Easter. We will complete our Roman Holiday with one last day in Roma before heading home next week.
