It had been 10 years since I’d done an autograph show on the east coast, but I knew from fans online that we were welcomed with open arms. Ronn had never done a show before and his dear friend Cassandra Peterson aka Elvira was a veteran of them, so it was a great excuse to visit with her and see a little of Boston. Dennis “Fly” Amero from the group “Orleans” lives there and Boston has always been a city both Ronn and I wanted to get to know better.

I had planned this show months ago and now with our tight schedule of traveling to Italy, we only had one day in between these two trips before my big surgery. So I wanted to have a little fun also. Needless to say, we had a lot of fun at the Boston Megafest and east coast fans are awesome. Ronn ran into Three Dog Night’s lead singer, Chuck Negron and Mark Lyndsey from “Paul Revere and the Raiders” who both performed at the kickass Boston Megafest afterparty Saturday night. They all wanted Ronn to join in and perform, but he was a bit tired from the overwhelming fans that day.

So tonight we had drinks with Cassandra Peterson and caught up with her as we relaxed and just watched the “American Music Awards” so that we can do a bit of sightseeing in the morning before flying back home tomorrow. The highlight of my weekend was meeting the one and only  Barbara Eden. As a kid I always watched, “I Dreamed of Jeannie” whenever I was sick to feel better and laugh. I told her this and she was gracious enough to sign a poster with Bill Daley for me, as well as take a much cherished photo with me for my upcoming hospital stay.

Boston Megafest will always be special for us now because of this weekend and the fact that so much love and fun was all around me sending positive vibes for my upcoming surgery. We got to see the first snow flurry of the season and really enjoyed our weekend with so many amazing characters from the Boston Megafest show. We want to thank Dave and Brian for showing us around Boston and being so awesome in making our weekend special.

We had an absolute blast at the first annual Heroes Awards Dinner held at the Century Plaza Hotel in Century City. Our amazing and generous friends, The Cusumano Family were honored for their contributions to our wounded vets. Actor/musician Gary Senise from CSI/NY rocked the house with his awesome band and my always life of the party friend, Tina Hillstrom joined us and danced the night away, looking fabulous in her very own, Wannawear line.

Ronn as most of you know, always looks amazing in a tux and I had an excuse to wear an evening gown. Since we recently celebrated Veterans Day, I thought it was fitting to have such a terrific charity event at this time of the year. It reminds us all of how much our troops have sacrificed for our country. We met Nathan who lost both is legs, but still has a wonderful fighting spirit for life. He is a real life, Lt. Dan and it’s a privilege to have met him.

This was the first Heroes awards dinner, but I”m certain not the last and since alot of our troops are starting to come home, it’s important to help integrate them into society and make them feel at home. The Goodwill gala was truly a first class event that I hope with bring joy to our Thankful hearts each and every year by helping our troops. Please visit http://www.goodwillsocal.org/2013-goodwill-gala-for-heroes for more info on how you can help be a part of this worthy cause.

This week Ronn and I are preparing for our first ever autograph show together at the http://www.supermegafest.com/. I did this show many years ago and look forward to seeing alot of our east coast fans. They have a great after party of musical performances and are doing a tribute to the Beatles music, so this should be one fun show! Who knows maybe Ronn will join in?  After Boston we will journey back to our second home, Italy where Ronn is doing another campaign with Katherine Kelly Lang. So we won’t be home for Thanksgiving this year, but our hearts are indeed very Thankful for all our blessings. It was also great to do our DevRonn Chat on Livestream with you all before we left for this event. We hope to do these kinds of chats more often!

Devin & Nathan

Last night we were invited to attend the book signing of a Princess thrown in a beautiful private home in Bel Air. The invitation came urgently at the last minute the day before. Turns out one of Ronn’s close childhood friends was a friend of the person putting this event together. She was desperately trying to connect Ronn with a producer from Italy that was interested in him for a project. As I read the story of what this Princess’ book was about, I felt like I had heard the story before and expressed it to Ronn. I had this feeling of excitement building in the pit of my stomach as we left to go to the party. And I always pay attention to the people and coincidences that are presented to me when these feelings occur. I speak more in detail on this in my book, “True Age, Timeless Beauty.”

Devin, Dialta & Ronn

As we entered the elegant mansion where this party was held and started speaking with Dialta Alliata Lensi Orlandi, she reminded me of someone we met in Rome this past June. Although this person was a man, there was an unusual sense of a connection. We began conversing with a number of people throughout the evening, each having some sort of connection to Ronn’s past. The most astonishing was a producer, Jay Weston who did one of my favorite movies, “Lady Sings The Blues.” He’s also a writer for the “Huffington Post.”  Turns out Jay knew Ronn’s father from many years ago and it’s extremely rare to meet someone today who knew Ronn’s father since he’s been dead for nearly 20 years!

Ronn & Jay Weston

This seemed to be the pattern throughout the evening at this party. I saw the gorgeous Barbara Carrera, whom I knew already through my friend and Matron of honor, Tina Hillstrom and Richard Chamberlin, who looked like he could actually be Ronn’s father or at least play him in a role. But the shocker of the evening was that Dialta’s book, “My Mother, My Father and His Wife Hortense” is the true story of Dialta’s family secret that was kept for nearly 100 years. It is the story that movies are made from. A love story like no other and a long drawn out feud with NYU over the largest, most valuable private collection of art the world has ever known.  It turns out my hunch was correct. I had heard the story before this past summer, from an encounter with Dialta’s brother, whom we met at the Taormina Film Festival in June.

Ronn & Richard Chamberin

So this beautiful, memorable and very synchronistic evening has led to some new and interesting encounters with some very talented people. I highly recommend you read, “My Mother, My Father and His Wife Hortense” to see for yourself exactly what I’m speaking of.

Barbara Carrera

It’s hard to believe that Ronn is a native Californian and there are many gorgeous places he has yet to visit. We wanted to find a free weekend to visit Creason who is away at college and both of us have never been to Santa Cruz. Creason has been telling us how gorgeous it is for months now, and Ronn loves a colder climate, so we thought this would be the perfect time of the year to make our journey to Santa Cruz.

Joe & Marsha copy

It’s a journey being in a car for five hours with even with the best of mates, this can sometimes be challenging. How many of you can relate to what I’m trying to say here? You’re giving out directions to a place you both have never been and he passes up an exit and thinks you don’t know what the hell you are talking about? Get my drift?  So since I’ve been with my amazingly adorable husband for nearly a decade, I can safely attest being with him in a car for five hours under these circumstances is not always fun for me and I sometime want to scream from frustration!

devronn vineyard copy

So we decided to break our trip up and make it fun. As you know by now, we love red wines and wine tasting in Paso Robles sounded great since we would of course be passing through on our journey to Santa Cruz. Plus it broke the trip in half, so I found the cutest bed and breakfast that overlooks a small, but picturesque vineyard called, “Honey Oak House at Laraneta Vineyards in Templeton, just outside of Paso Robles.

vineyard copy

The owners are Joe and Melinda who started their winery and flavored olive oil on their 20 acre vineyard.  You feel like you are staying over at your best friend’s house for the night. We had a lovely wine tasting of their superb wines and shared a bottle of Cabernet with Bob and Marsha who were traveling from San Francisco. Turns out Bob was from Louisiana with family from guess where? Finland!

joe & Melinda copy

So after a few laughs about some of our coincidental stories and a  bottle of wine watching the sunset, we were ready to settle in for the evening. Tomorrow we will be in Santa Cruz with only a couple more hours in the car, hopefully with no directional issues. I told Ronn maybe I should drive and he could navigate, but he didn’t seem to like that idea very much, hmm I wonder why?

It’s not everyday you get invited to fly to Las Vegas on a private jet with fun friends drinking champagne and eating chocolate covered potato chips to see the one and only Sir Elton John! I know it sounds like I’m making this up, but trust me I’m not. Elton was on my bucket list of must-see concerts-before I die, so the answer to this invite was a no brain-er!

Plane ride to Vegas

Along this yellow brick road to Vegas we stayed at the amazing Venetian Hotel.  It’s not exactly like the real canals of Venice, especially now due to draining the canals to repaint the bottoms. Our dear pals Brad and Tina Hillstrom joined us as guests of Caroline and Michael Cusumano. Now Mike is pretty damn good at black jack and they were ready to gamble, but only after a little French cuisine and some nice bottles of wine.
It’s always a pleasure to dine with the Cusumanos because they love and have great knowledge of wines, so it’s always yummy, fun and educational.

caroline and Dev

Since it’s a rarity to have a get-a-way opportunity with Ronn that didn’t involve work, this felt like heaven. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect and Ronn felt like relaxing by the pool. I don’t enjoy being directly in the sun and we both prefer a more breeziness along with it, spoiled? Yes indeed, we were feeling great. I felt a sense of excitement sweep over me anticipating the Elton John performance that would be the finale of this fantasy get-a-way.

Devronn copy

Ronn only had to walk through the Venetian shops with me for my morning cappuccino and it felt romantic to ponder my recent birthday trip to the real Venice. Our breakfast waiter politely greeted us and asked, “Are you Ronn Moss?” He continued to say what a fan he was for Player, which surprised Ronn and then he said, “What did you think I was going to say something about that soap opera?” We got a great laugh out of that one.

Shortly after our breakfast, a young Australian couple asked Ronn for a photo and expressed how much he’s missed in Australia. We actually ran into a few other Aussies who told us that. As you can see our morning was becoming quite an adventure down this yellow brick road of Las Vegas on our way to Elton.

brad and Tina copy

As we continured out of the restaurant, we ran into another lady who thought Ronn looked like Elvis. She told him it was his hair that made him look like Elvis. I couldn’t stop giggling. It seemed like all morning long someone was paying Ronn a compliment everywhere we turned. Then when we all sat down to play some black jack and things got interesting. Since I don’t gamble, I watch, talk, drink and laugh a lot. Mike was trying to teach Ronn how to play and before we could get started the female pit boss comes up to Ronn and tells him how much she loves Player!

She explained that the very first record she played on her record player as teen was “Baby Come Back.” Of course we were all moved listening to her heartfelt enthusiasm for this moment in her life and knew a photo was inevitable. However, you aren’t suppose to take photos at a black jack table in Vegas, didn’t you know that?

collage

Our adventure continued when we entered a long stretched limo just to take us across the street to that grand hotel, “Ceasar’s Palace” to finally see Elton. Caroline informed me they had one extra ticket to give away to someone nice, so I had to help Caroline pick out that lucky person! Settling into our seats and looking at the piano onstage I knew this would be a moment in my life that I would always look back upon fondly.

Mike and Ronn

This yellow brick road I was on was fun and I was enjoying the journey. I thought back to a dinner I had with Elton John and Sylvester Stallone at Nicky Blair’s in 1988. That too was a memorable evening and one that was captured by the paparazzi when we left. I wondered with all the dinners and moments in Elton’s life if he would remember me?

Elton

The concert was incredible and our moment in Las Vegas watching Elton’s performance is one that will forever be etched with fondness for all of us. Ronn actually learned a thing or two about black jack and won a few hands. Brad and Tina bought the coolest sunglasses on the planet. And Mike and Caroline gave us a memory that will last a lifetime, thank you so much for the love and friendship.

So goodbye yellow brick road, Las Vegas will always be a special moment in time for us!

We had a wonderful weekend spent with several friends we hadn’t seen in a while, such as Katherine Kelly Lang. I was happy to cook a fun dinner for her and our young talented writer/director Ivan Silvestrini who is the writer/director of the acclaimed webseries, “Stuck.” Ivan is developing the perfect project for Ronn and Kelly to star in and just completed his first feature film, “Come Non Detto” a comedy about a gay guy who has a hard time coming out with his parents. We think Ivan is a sheer talent and a wonderful person and really enjoyed the film.

KKL and Ivan SilvestriniIMG_0072

So I think good vibrations are in order for Ronn and Kelly to reunite in a say a romantic comedy? Then Ronn and I attended the birthday party of producer David McKenzie at the Staple center for a hockey game that was held in a private suite. It was such a lovely evening and so nice to see one of my favorite gal pals, Kira Reed Lorsch. We met English actor, Gregg Sulkin who starred in the Disney series, “Wizards of Waverly Place” as Selena Gomez’ boyfriend.

Gregg SulkinIMG_5785

Ronn is getting ready to read a script for a 10 hour mini series that he will be working on with David McKenzie which I will give you details on soon. But what I can tell you is that this will be a terrific, amazing project that you will surely love and you will get to see Ronn on TV again soon! In addition to trying to finish the “Sail Rock” tour, Player will now do a possible tour in Finland this January.

IMG_0487

So as you can see, there are good vibrations everywhere with music, movies and television projects in the works. We are just trying to find the time to fit it all in before and after the upcoming holidays which is just around the corner. I can’t believe how fast this year is going by! Tomorrow night we ride our Harley’s to the DVD release party premiere of “Easy Rider, The Ride Back” in Marina Del Rey at Bartel’s Harley Davidson. The producer of that film is also the producer/writer of the upcoming “411” movie that Ronn will be directing.

In addition to all of this, Ronn and Peter Beckett did a very cool photo shoot with photographer Christopher Ameruoso in Elvis Presley’s actual sunglasses as part of a cool book of talented stars all wearing Elvis’ glasses, and you all know how much I love Elvis! So I think there will be good vibrations in celebrating all the exciting new upcoming projects and as usual I will keep you posted as they continue to evolve, but in the meantime enjoy the second installment of “Finland’s Game of Emotions.”

I think Prince coined “Jam of the Year” as a song on his “Emancipation” album, but it’s ours now. For some reason, we love rockin out on Mondays. First the Canyon Club for my big 50th birthday and now Labor Day weekend will always be etched in our brain with the Jam of the year. We had REO Speedwagon’s Bryan Hitt on drums and REO’s guitarist Dave Amato rockin in with Player. It was so hot that all we could do was dance our asses off all night long.

It’s not everyday I have tons of people dancing in my garage, but no one could sit still and had to get up and grove to the music. I cooked red beans and rice for my vegetarian friends and a killer gumbo. Ronn grilled chicken and tri tip and others brought tons more food to add to our Player Potluck Jam of the year! This was so good, we may make it an annual event.

Right now it’s almost 4:30 in the afternoon and I’m just now having a cappuccino to wake myself up and function properly. I’ve not partied this much since, well my birthday at the Canyon Club. But, when Player jams no one can sit still. We had a great group of friends old and new come in and out throughout the evening to share in on all the fun. Patrick Warburton brought out cigars and added to the cool vibe. Al Stewart, who is famous for his hit, “Time Passages” and “Year of the Cat” is always a wine expert who happens to look like an executive, but the boy can jam!

Nothing like the fun, positive, loving energy that engulfed our house and made our jam of the year so wonderful. Our kitchen looked like an explosion hit it this morning. Tell me why does everyone love to be in the kitchen at house parties anyway? Oh yeah, food! So with fun friends, great food and music it’s a given that we call this the jam of the year with pride. Notice Peter Beckett on drums! Who knows maybe we may take our Player Jam Parties on the road along with the Player Angels and party in your hometown! More of the fun on Ronn’s Garage coming up!

It was a short, but really impressive trip to Finland, especially for me because I’d never been there. We arrived early Saturday morning from a pleasant flight on Finnair, an extremely nice comfortable airline with great service. This is a must for us traveling abroad. Ronn was shooting a mystery project that I’m not allowed to reveal yet, but can tell you it’s very clever and will be a big success from what I can see. The weather was a bit cold and rainy at first, which is never a problem for Ronn because he loves it. But the sun shined towards the end of each day which made us able to do a little of sightseeing in between shooting.

20130818_163053_resized

The Fins have what is called, “Restaurant Day” in which anyone can go online and feature their dishes on that day to the public and I’ve never seen so many people outside enjoying the sunshine as I did that day. We ran across a bunch of guys cooking Mexican food who wanted us to join them and of course take photos with Ronn. Seems the Finnish people love Ronn very much and we couldn’t have felt more welcome.

Ronn in Helsinki copy

I was very impressed with how organized and efficient the Finnish people are with almost everything. Their food and design was very unique and interesting to their culture and they seem to appreciate a variety of things. I find them also very creative and learned alot about their culture. The extreme weather they have learned to endure makes them very strong and also extremely creative I think.

soccer copy

We had  lovely weather when we attended the soccer game and Ronn presented the Helsinki team with a huge trophy. Seems everyone was speculating on what brought Ronn to Helsinki and the press was super curious. We have all laughed at all the speculations which ranged from Finland’s TV version of “Big Brother” and “Dancing With The Stars” to a new Finnish soap version of “The Bold and The Beautiful.”

soccer trophy copy

We also had the chance to see Yoko Ono in concert last night in a covered tent. It’s not everyday you get to see Yoko Ono who is 80 years old perform in a tent, but it was quite nice. Her performance is nothing short of eccentric and unique to her and I really enjoyed it. I feel you must listen to her with your eyes closed to really grasp the spirituality of what she does with her voice.

yoko copy

We then had the most unique and interesting coincidence in finding a restaurant after the concert. Apparently, most of the restaurants in Helsinki are closed on Monday and Tuesdays and our production crew wanted to find a good place for us to go. Ronn had retweeted fame chef Henri Alen who owns the restaurant “Muru” and the producers called him to ask if he could recommend a place for us to go. Henri generously invited us to his second and newer French restaurant, “Pastis” and had the most amazing dinner. I had steak and french fries cooked in truffle oil that was to die for.

Henri Alen copysteak copy

Henri explained that he was a bit in shock when the producers called him because he was a big fan of Ronn’s music and the chefs in his kitchen listened to Ronn’s solo CDs all the time. So it was a thrill for him to have us there and he happily gave me a private tour of the kitchen along with a cookbook from “Muru” which I look forward to visiting the next time we are in Helsinki, which could be very soon! I challenged Henri to a gumbo cook off and Ronn and I are considering bringing, “Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning” to Finland for a BBQ on restaurant day.

Devronn Pastis copy 2

So as we board our flight back to Salt Lake City in time for Player’s performance tonight, we bring a little bit of Helsinki with us in our hearts. The producers of this project presented Ronn with a Suunto watch that he absolutely loves and will cherish. In time you will all know what the secret project is in September. We have fallen in love with this endearing place and hope to return to visit again very soon.

“Being Normal Is Boring” is a phrase that has been attached to German Artist, Michael Moebius’ painting of Marilyn Monroe blowing a pink bubble gum. This image is on everything from T-shirts, to iphone cases and has garnered alot of attention for Moebius. So much so, that “Glamour” magazine has featured it in it’s Hollywood issue with Jennifer Aniston on the cover.

I’ve known Michael now for nearly 13 years and was his first model. It was easy to recognize his immense talent and wonderful to see how much he’s grown. It’s safe to say, “Being Normal Is Boring” indeed and Michael is far from normal and certainly not boring. He’s been like a brother to me and it’s been nice to spend some quality time together since Ronn is away on tour.

IMG_2932bsIMG_2944sws

We went to see Helmut Newton’s photography exhibition and it has inspired Michael to do a series of Marilyn paintings in black and white, as well as, a new Audrey Hepburn Tiffany bubble gum painting that I absolutely love. Playboy is now featuring a five page article on his work and magazines such as, “Robb Report” and Cosmopolitan are also featuring his work. He’s now planning an art exhibition of his own this fall in Beverly Hills.

DSCF3982s

As you know Ronn featured him on “Ronn’s Garage” earlier this year and I’m sure you can now see that Michael Moebius is a shooting star in his own right. I’m very proud of him and love that “Being Normal Is Boring” and hope that you guys will continue to follow his career.

Tina

Caroline, Mike and Dev

Summer just isn’t summer for us until we get to experience Hef’s infamous Midsummer Night’s Dream party. It’s always the first Saturday in August and is Playboy’s most beautiful party. Visually stunning because they tent the whole back yard and decorate with tons of flowers to give you the feeling of a tropical paradise. Then they sprinkle in painted ladies to walk around and serve you yummy things to eat. These painted ladies are totally nude except for the body painted lingerie that takes hours to do and are simply, a work of art to look at. It’s really hard not to stare in awe.

20130803_220119_resized

These days the Playboy mansion has become much more corporate. Gone are the days when Hef walked around and chatted with his guests while the cameras followed him. Now there are huge lines to go and greet him, while a hot DJ spins music and cirque de solei painted ladies entertain you while your are dancing. There are now lounge chairs everywhere for you sit and watch the array of women walk around in gorgeous lingerie with killer bodies.

20130803_221106_resized

So this Playboy mansion party had a great mixture of young and older friends and Playmates.  Hef’s sons Cooper and Marston are starting to take things over in promoting the brand that we all know and love to be Playboy and it’s apparent change is delightful. It was fun to see Kendra dancing her cute little butt off with the painted ladies onstage and everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time.   I personally think this midsummer party was one of the best. It was also nice for me to have a bit of fun after the emotional week I’ve had losing my beloved, Romeo.

20130803_221250_resized

It was also nice to have some of our friends there that were first timers. I was thrilled to be able to bring my gal pals, Tina and Caroline.  It’s not as easy to bring the guys up there unless you are a celebrity. So I made a special request for our young Aussie Actors, Brenton Thwaites and Nathanial Buzolic. It was Nathanial’s 30th birthday and so we toasted him big time at midnight with Tequila shots. Brenton just finished the upcoming movie, Maleficent with Angelina Jolie and Nathanial is a series regular on “Vampire Diaries” both look like they could be my sons and so I’ve adopted them as their American mum.

Here’s a toast to Hef and Crystal’s magical midsummer delight! Thanks for having us join in on a superb party!

Today was a very sad and emotional day for us as a family, losing our beloved Romeo. He was and always will be my special gift from the universe and the time has come for me to let him go. I thought I was prepared for this because I knew he was getting old, even though he still acted like a puppy. He had a cough that had been lingering and getting worst, plus a heart condition. But Romeo had always been a healthy Shih-Tzu and I never had to take him in for eye or ear infections, which this breed is known to have.

IMG_0249

Given I also had Romeo’s father, Elvis for over 11 years, I knew he had inherited his father’s heart condition that took him the same way. Shih-Tzus for me are extremely special. They are Chinese dogs and are considered spiritual, intelligent, loving creatures and I felt this was my special little gift in life. He was the closest thing I’d ever have to a baby in this lifetime and I loved him deeply.

Since I grew up in and out of foster homes, I never had animals and always wanted a dog. I was in my early 20s when I  finally got my first dog. She was a Lhasa and was gifted to me, so I didn’t pick the breed. I named her Honey and she got hit by a car when I lived in Knoxville, Tennessee. I was devastated and was gifted again by another female Lhasa that I had for over 5 years, she too was hit by a car. So I decided to change breeds and not have another female dog. I decided it was time for me to pick a breed and fell in love with the Shih-Tzu.

IMG_1191

Because I was still grieving the loss of my dog, this particular Shih-Tzu had a calm personality as a puppy and stayed that way throughout his adult life. Elvis’ father was a stud and my friend Viki had bred Shih-Tzus for over 30 years. She told me if I ever wanted to breed him in the future to let her know. I’m not into breeding animals and would rather rescue them, but this was a different time in my life and the universe led me to this Shih-Tzu. I felt like I had to have his first born son because Elvis was just so special and thus, my Romeo was born five years later. So I knew this was the one and only time in my life I would ever have such a dog and I feel blessed to have had him live such a long, healthy and happy life. He has brought me such joy and given me so much love throughout these 12 and a half years together and for that I’m in deep gratitude.

IMG_0018

I’m also grateful that he went quickly, peacefully and here at home with all of us present today. I was scheduled to take him to the vet tomorrow for a check up on this cough that was getting worst and even though he looked and acted like a puppy, we all knew his days were numbered. Ronn has had many animals, most of them he had to put down and so the thought of putting Romeo down was more painful than the way he went.

IMG_0047

Because he is my special gift from the universe, I have decided to cremate him and found a wonderful service Guardian After Care that picked him up and will deliver his ashes in an urn with a lock of his hair, name on a plaque with paw prints. This way I can keep his special presence with me always. I think animals are blessings in our lives and add to our spiritual growth. The unconditional love and devotion they give you is so innocent and pure, if only we could be more like them with other human beings?

Nothing will ever compare to my Romeo. He was deeply loved by many and quite a charming little man that most of you know could sing. So in loving memory of my special little gift in life, here is Romeo singing as I know he is with his father in doggy heaven right now.

This past weekend to Paso Robles was a first for both Ronn and I. We were there for Player’s concert lineup on the Sail Rock tour along with Firefall, Orleans, Al Stewart and Christopher Cross. So Peter and Eden thought we should naturally go up a day early and do some wine tasting. The drive was a pleasant one and the weather couldn’t have been more beautiful. There are so many great wines from the Paso Robles region and for years our neighbors who own the wine, “Opolo” has invited us to their annual wine festival of grape stomping, music and BBQ feasting galore. But, somehow between Ronn’s schedule of work and travel, we have never been able to make it to the winery until this past weekend.

photo

We happen to also know the Hunt family which also produce a terrific wine from Paso Robles and stopped off at their vineyard for a tasting, along with the Ancient Peak, Cass and Tobin James wineries. Needless to say we had great time and I can attest to the fact that the wines of this region are amazing.

photo

The concert drew a terrific crowd that enjoyed the fair and the moonlit breeziness of the night since the concert was set outdoors. My girlfriend Sue and her friend Brenda had a great time and joined us backstage afterwards where we were hanging out with Al Stewart and his girlfriend Jill. As we were saying goodbye, Jill miss her step into the van and fell backwards in a hard fall that ended up breaking her finger! It was a quite a hard fall and a terrible freakish accident. We all felt terrible watching her finger swell as the ambulance came to take her to the hospital. She was remarkably calm and all she and Al could talk about was having us all get together for a dinner party at their place once the tour was over.

[wpvideo OkGKfDDd]

Such a lovely couple that we are sending love and light to right now for Jill to have a speedy recovery. I don’t think any of us will forget our past weekend in Paso Robles for many reasons. Great wine, friends old and new, music and serene scenery made it memorable enough to say, we will be back!

This has truly been the most magical birthday ever for me and I’ve been celebrating it the entire month of June. Kicking it off with the success of the Canyon Club’s Player performance and extending it to our seconda casa in Roma, Firenze and Venezia with some of our most cherished friends. 50 was always a number I was afraid of in the past because my mom died of breast cancer at that age. I had times when I thought I wouldn’t make it in life to see that number and now I’m so happy and vibrant with my life that it’s indeed just a number to me. I think I will truly love my 50s and will never forget all the love and celebration surrounding this birthday.

IMG_1012IMG_1010

The profound synchronicity of events, people and places that we have experienced during this trip is too much to put in mere words. I feel like the universe has bestowed an array of beautiful gifts, new friendships and love that I just can’t explain. Only to say it’s been pure magic. The fact that we had a huge full moon to boot with me being the ultimate Cancer moon child was no coincidence. It was meant to be a sign that my thoughts, passion and love of life will continue to flourish and I plan to give even more of myself to this world with great eagerness and compassion.

It’s always been my desire to make my life have meaning beyond mere success of just what I’ve chosen to do in this lifetime. I want to leave something behind that is much bigger than me and nothing is more important to me than giving back to those in need. I so admire women like Audrey Hepburn who did that in spades during her lifetime. So I believe this birthday of my turning a half of a century will mark what my new clear path is from now on and that is to continue to inspire and enlighten others through example. This is a true blessing to have my life take this new path now.

IMG_1029

Because of this new path I have developed a new website for women that is about other dynamic women of this world that are making a difference and it’s called woman to woman. I’m happy to launch it with two amazing women that have already made such great marks on society in this world, supermodel, Kelly Emberg and Hollywood icon, Mamie Van Doren. So please take a look at www.womantowoman.tv and leave a comment on what you think.

Here are a few photos from our trip to gorgeous Venezia and our stop in Firenze for the Laura Biagiotti Doll Collection presentation, which was absolutely amazing! Always the perfect ending to our stay in Roma is when we spend time with our beloved Lavinia and Laura Biagiotti, whom we think of as family. Thank you as always for your wonderful hospitality and for the birthday blessings you have given to me on this milestone. A new Ronn’s Garage is coming with more details from our trip!

It’s been another amazing adventure in the southern part of Sicily here in beautiful Taormina for the prestigious annual film festival. Arriving here was quite an ordeal because Ronn’s luggage was lost the first few days and he had no clothing at all. Thank goodness there was a Taormina film festival t-shirt in his gift bag! Every night has started out with cocktails and photos with some of Europe’s most elite that have gathered to view different films every night in the 2300 year old outdoor theater that holds about 5000 people.

20130618_101532_resized

The first night’s premiere of “Man of Steel” honored Russell Crowe with an award for his body of work and featured the cast of the newly released, “Man of Steel” which I must say was amazing to watch in such an outdoor arena.  After the screening there was a private elegant dinner held at the roof top of an amazing restaurant. This has been the routine each night as a different star has been honored with an award, including my hubby Ronn who has had a group of young teenage girls following him around since we arrived. They seem to be everywhere and it’s amazing how much they seem to adore my hubby.

It’s become impossible to walk around Taormina with Ronn because he draws a huge crowd for photos and autographs constantly, which he’s very gracious about doing, but it can become rather stifling at times to get from place to place and the crowd seems to get larger and larger with tons of young women!

IMG_2051

It was a pleasant surprise to see Prince Albert of Monaco here for a special presentation of his green energy foundation and as a result we have now been invited to Monaco for other interesting appearances that Ronn will be making in the future. Each night has truly been a wonderful beautiful presentation of awards and films both American and Italian that have been followed by the most amazing dinner parties. Tiziana Rocca put on this event and we are proud and honored to have been a part of this wonderful week.

albertaormina

Last night Jeremy Irons was honored and tonight Meg Ryan is being honored, but I felt the need to relax and stay in for the evening. Each night’s dinner is at a different restaurant or hotel around Taormina so it’s easily becoming a very special week for us. We have been meeting some terrific and interesting people from all over the world and there is many  wonderful opportunities brewing for Ronn to work in film, as well as, invitations to bring PLAYER to perform in places in and around Europe.

We are still celebrating my birthday and will continue to celebrate with a party being thrown for me next week in Rome by Prince Bassam Omar Salame’, his gorgeous wife and Lamia Khashoggi, one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever met. Turns out it was also Prince Salame’s birthday and he wishes to continue to celebrate my big milestone in Rome and also in Monaco later this summer. Needless to say, this is turning into the most amazing birthday ever for me and one I’ll never forget and am truly grateful and blessed to be celebrating with these amazingly beautiful people.

Prince+Bassam+Salame

Sadly we have lost one of our guests who was coming in to attend the festival, James Gandolfini, aka Tony Soprano had a sudden apparent heart attack last night in Rome. So a special tribute is being paid to him tonight at the festival.

I was on such a high this past week from the Player concert. It was a night of celebration, love and just plain good fun that was had by all last Monday, as I embraced my dearest, sweetest friends from all over who came to spend that magical day with us. And I’m sooo not exaggerating, it was indeed magical. Many of the beautiful sweet puppies, kittens and dogs found homes. Kim Sill, founder of Shelter Hope Pet Shop had every volunteer working their little tushes off just to celebrate lil ole, me! 8494_585452894808487_1227553890_n (1)

So it’s really the truth when I tell you that the Shelter Hope Pet Shop volunteers take what they do way seriously and with pleasure, joy and just plain beauty all around. That was the best damn birthday party a girl my age could ever hope to have and I was never more grateful, loved or celebrated than that evening. My favorite band in the world was singing just for me, okay and you too!  No one at Shelter Hope Pet Shop expected what would happen the day after such a wonderful, beautiful event like our Canyon Club concert with Player. I really was on a beautiful high and so to hear the sad news the very next day that one of our sweetest most angelic volunteer Phillis Armstrong passed away of heart failure, was devastating to say the least to, not just me, but everyone.

Phillis touched everyone who met her and no one was as dedicated as she was as a volunteer, lover of animals and just plain good natured and good hearted soul. A sadness was felt even if you only saw a photo of her like this one of her in the green skirt holding that little furry bundle. Phillis embodied what an animal rescue lover truly stands for and her dedication will not be forgotten. We can only follow her example in giving of ourselves and to our society when we give from the heart and soul such as Phillis did in her seemingly short life.

So as Ronn and I take our journey tomorrow and carry Player with us when they join Orleans, Firefall and Christopher Cross in Del Mar, we will also take Phillis as our angel guide to help us continue our magical journey forward with her sweet spirit and the essence of that last magical evening spent with her. Phillis will forever be a part of Player now as we meet more Player Angels around the world, we will always carry our sweet angel Phillis in our hearts.

Mondays will always have a specialness to it now because I’ll never forget how we rocked out on a Monday with Player at the Canyon Club. The event was a great success to say the least. We filled the house and rocked it big time! Shelter Hope Pet Shop was amazing and I want to thank all the volunteers who put in all their time an effort on the decorations, gift bags and red carpet. Kim Sill, founder of Shelter Hope Pet Shop went overboard on an amazing cake that was too delicious and a great time was had by all.

We had REO Speedwagon in the house along, with artist Olivia, Michael Moebius, Katherine Kelly Lang, Winsor Harmon, Allie Mills, Orsen Bean, Adam Gregory, Linda Thompson, Sheree J. Wilson, Renee Tenison, Sean Kanan & Bud Cort all getting down on the dance floor to the music of Player. The band was amazing and the evening couldn’t have turned out better. We raised over $5000 for Shelter Hope Pet Shop and more donations are coming in everyday on behalf of my 50th birthday, so thank you all so much! We can save quite a few animals with this money. Fans flew in from all over the country to see the band and I had my best buddies and most awesome Player Angels on hand to help me as my ladies in waiting. I say that because all my girlfriends spent the weekend with me and they were all waiting on me hand and foot. So they bought me a tiara and made me Queen and they were Princesses. We all decided to wear our Player tank tops and I wore my tiara all night long being the Queen was fun!

970051_167559410084826_874411813_n

My only regret is that some people brought me gifts even though I said, “NO GIFTS!” As a result I put them in my gift bag and at the end of the evening that bag was gone and so were my gifts and my tiara! So the quest to find my tiara and gifts is ongoing here. Anyone who has it and won’t give it back will be beheaded!! Thank you Kira Reed Lorsch for being the best MC ever!

It’s been over a week and a half since hubby left for Italy and even though I miss him terribly, I love being alone. I always get so much done and haven’t stopped since he left spring cleaning my closet. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for quite some time, but never having the time to devote to doing. Getting rid of things you don’t use or need for others to enjoy tells the universe you are ready for new exciting things to come into your life. I devoted a chapter on “Home” in my book, “True Age, Timeless Beauty.” It’s something I’ve been doing all my life and being a Cancer, my home is very much where most of my energy is. Cooking, entertaining and spending quality time with the family and intimate time with hubby is what’s important to me. “Home is where the heart” is, I’m sure you’ve heard that before.

True Age, Timeless Beauty

I’m  also happy that I got our taxes off to the accountant. That is something I hate to do, as I’m sure most of you do too. But I find doing the mundane things you hate doing a little bit each day will get those tasks out of the way in record time. I love what i call, “Time Management” and budgeting my time to have free quality time with hubby by getting these things out of the way. I hate waiting until the last minute to scramble to do such things. Procrastination has been an issue with all of us from time to time I’m sure, but I feel it holds you back from moving forward in life to get into such habits. So when I put my mind into doing something, I just do it!  This time spent alone has also given me the chance to catch up with some of my friends and spend quality time together, so I’ve not been bored one second.

Devin's Closet

I try to be in gratitude each and every day for whatever life throws at me because it’s always a learning experience for growth. This is also explained in my book, “True Age, Timeless Beauty.” Everything starts with gratitude. Be grateful for what you have not what you don’t is what I try to live by. I’m am at a period in life that I don’t feel I want or need anything and wish to get rid of most of the things I have accumulated over the past years. I want to simplify my life and not have so many things to deal with anymore. I love life to be in balanced in every area so that the universe can bring me to that next level of growth. Letting go of the old things only tells the universe that you are ready for new ones and it’s the period between the old and the new that’s most exciting. The transition into the exciting new unknown has always challenged and thrilled me because I can feel my growth happening and welcome it.

So I’m excited to welcome the new things that I know are coming into our lives soon and I’m grateful for the old things that have been there to get me to the point I am thus far in this game called, “Life.”

There has been alot going on with Ronn and I for the past few weeks and 2013 has taken off with a bang! Ronn has been busy preparing for his upcoming trip to Italy in which he will be promoting his fashion campaign with Katherine Kelly Lang for Impero Couture. They are launching the commercial on Valentine’s Day. Now if I didn’t love KKL so much myself, I’d be jealous that my husband isn’t spending Valentine’s Day with me and will be in Italy with her on that day. However, I’m not jealous, but happy that the campaign is so elegant and beautiful and it’s a perfect day to launch such a campaign. So hubby and I will celebrate the day before and I will see his cute little butt off to fly into the sunset with his Logan. I know how much you all love that and being a fan, so do I.

DevRonn

I chose not to go this trip because in addition to doing that promotion, Ronn will be traveling alot within Italy to various cities to promote his upcoming Player CD, “Too Many Reasons.” I don’t think this wil be a a fun trip for me to tag along on because he’s going to be on the go constantly. Besides, I have so much on my plate to deal with here at home with real estate now picking up finally and getting things prepared for the 411movie shoot and Ronn’s Garage. We have Ray Parker Jr, Jacquline MacInnes Wood and Rove coming up over the next few months and I’m looking forward to them all visiting us and to cook up something yummy! I’ve been getting all your requests to have Ronn and I cook together and I believe that is a real possibility. There’s even been talk about Ronn and I doing a TV cooking show together, which I would just love.

Devin

All that being said, we are absolutely loving life these days. Ronn is more relaxed and feeling creative. He’s writing for his memoir and it’s quite good and very interesting. I’ve told him his life story’s roots are fascinating and should be a book. All the stories he’s told me from his experiences growing up to his days on tour with the band, to 25 years of being Ridge Forrester. It’s something he must write and wants to now. Ronn is also doing the music for the 411movie, so he’s been busy preparing to shoot some music videos that will be in the movie, as well as, theme music for it. And as you know he does everything for Ronn’s Garage, including the editing, so he’s finishing up German pinup artist Michael Moebius now. I can safely say Ronn is also loving life because of all this creativity he now has time for in doing the things he loves the most. This past week we were spending time with our new friends from Monaco and their three adorable little girls, a set of twins who are four years old and the oldest daughter who is six. One of the twins really took to me and we are now best buds. I look forward to seeing them again soon.

Last night we celebrated another birthday with my dear friend writer, producer, director Jeff Franklin. Known for his brilliance in comedic writing, he created the hit syndicated TV series, “Full House” and has been a close friend since I arrived in Hollywood back in 1985. I said my first words on TV written by Jeff when I appeared as Garry Shandling’s fantasy girl on the “Garry Shandling Show.”  Jeff created “Full House” shortly after Garry’s show was canceled and is also responsible for writing and directing movies such as the cult classic comedy, “Love Stinks” and “Summer School.”  Now Jeff always throws fabulous parties and last night was exceptional with an amazing band, delicious food and beautiful decor in his lovely home filled with exotic fish tanks. He even has baby sharks in one tank and has three of them built into the wall of his house that is one of the most beautiful homes I’ve ever seen. The views are 360 and the house has a bit of history that may freak some people out. It sits on the same site where the Manson murders took place many years ago.

However, Jeff’s great energy and beautiful home has brought nothing but, joy, peace and love to those grounds and his amazing parties have only helped that energy and I believe he too is loving life with another birthday under his belt. Jeff and I have a tradition in that we are both Elvis fans and he has a large Elvis collection. I always try to add to it with something he doesn’t have and have been successful the past couple years with a bubble gum Elvis pack and a mini Elvis lunchbox. He has a Priscilla and Elvis Barbie that I wish I had for my Barbie collection! I’m so thrilled that my book, “True Age, Timeless Beauty: Finding the Fountain of Youth and Everything You Desire is touching lives and I’m happy to be a part of a new book entitled, “Wounded, Survive, Thrive” 101 Women’s Journey’s from Torment to Triumph in which I share my personal story. I hope this book helps many women overcome abuse of any kind and thrive in their lives.

So we hope you too are loving life as much as we have been lately and that the new year is filled with laughter, love and fun times with family and friends because that’s really what life should be don’t you think? Don’t forget to join the PlayerAngels and enter our contest to win a FREE Autographed Player CD! I want to see Player Angels from all over the world flying around and cheering Ronn and the boys on their new journey. Tours are being planned and I will keep you informed as they develop. I am confident you will love the CD as much as I do!

Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning 2013

Devin's Kickass Cajun Seasoning
Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning

As we kick off a brand new year and almost five years of Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning, I’m happy to know that so many of you love our spice! Most of you know we created the spice because of my love for Cajun cooking and my home state of Louisiana. Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning was created especially to help the city of New Orleans recover from the devastation of hurricane Katrina and we give part of the proceeds directly to help that effort. Last year we gave $14,000 to Brad Pitt’s charity, “Make It Right” who is directly helping New Orleans rebuild ecological housing. This year we hope to top that and with your help I’m sure we can exceed that number as New Orleans continues to rebuild. However, our spice doesn’t just benefit New Orleans, it benefits any other natural disasters that has happened in our country such as, hurricane Sandy in New York recently. We want to be known as the spice that gives back.

Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning and Cajun Cookin

Cookin Cajun
Cookin Cajun

In addition to Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning, I created the cookbook, “Cajun Cookin” with a variety of not only Cajun recipes, but appetizers, soups, salads, stews and meats to use with our spice because it’s simply great on everything. Most of our customers actually use the phrase, “We use it on everything.” That’s no exaggeration because I know we do and have for nearly five years now. Our Cajun spice is lower in sodium than any other Cajun seasoning that I know of and has no MSG. I created that way because I was tired of what was in the supermarkets. Most Cajun spices were way too salty and did contain MSG. So our spice is my original recipe that I perfected for that reason. It’s got alot of flavor and a bit of a kick, but not to spicy, so it really does just make you the cook you didn’t know you could be just by adding it to any dish. My “Cookin Cajuncookbook is now available in an ebook that you can download to your ipad or computer and has lots of wonderful photos to go with nearly every dish.

The Future of Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning

When we created  Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning  we wanted to start small and grow organically with a product we could be proud of. Since Ronn and I are in the entertainment business, we knew nothing about the food industry, which was a bit of an education in the process of creating “Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning” and took nearly two years to formulate. My goal is to have it one day be in the supermarkets  and available all over at a cheaper price. It’s very hard to compete with brands that are household names and already on the shelves in supermarkets, however I will not give up on this dream because I know we have a “kickass” product pardon the pun. Most of you who have tried it know what I’m talking about and those of you who haven’t, well you are missing out. We use it for BBQs, in the summer and I love to give it to our new friends and have them come back and rave about how much they love it on everything. So we believe the future oDevin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning is very bright and with your continued help will be the a spice that makes a difference!

Here Comes Santa Claus

With only four days left to do your Christmas shopping and we don’t want to forget to leave out the milk and cookies, the jolly old man with big red bag will be coming down your chimney on Christmas eve, hopefully with lots of goodies for you! You can sing, Here Comes Santa Claus, Here Comes Santa Claus and wish yourself a Merry little Christmas with Jingle Bells along the way.  I got to the see the man myself and told him what I wanted already. Not sure if I will get it, but it was good to sit on his knee and tell him anyway.  All I know is that I find myself singing, Here comes Santa Claus, Here comes Santa Claus and I feel so happy knowing that he’s getting things ready with his elves wrapping all those presents for all the good boys and girls. Are you one of them? Have you been naughty or nice?

Here Comes Santa Claus

Santa told me that he would have a talk with Ronn about a few things I’ve been asking for, can’t tell you what they are because I don’t want to jinx it. All I know is that I’ve been checking my list and making sure I have those cookies out for him. I hope he doesn’t hold it against me that I didn’t put up a tree this year. Are you getting excited? I know I am!  If you have any last minute gifts to give here are a few suggestions:

Just in case you don’t get what you want this year from Santa, dont be disappointed, due to the economy, money could be tight for him too. I mean the man has a lot on his plate you know.

Player

Player had a good time playing at the first annual Canada Fest in Palm Springs. There were alot of food and clothing vendors, as well as a fashion show that I participated in, along with my pals Robin Krasny and Eden Ayers. Player’s very own webmistress Patti Meyers came all the way from New Jersey to party with us. Before  their concert,  A funny thing happen to Ronn after I left him alone in the hotel room before I went to get ready for the fashion show. Apparently, Ronn was putting the room service trays outside our door and locked himself out in his underwear! He said he luckily found a bellman that helped him back inside the room and the guy  was trying not to laugh. Can you imagine if he had been naked?

Given that Player is getting more and more in demand for gigs all over the place I came up with a cool idea of starting a fan club for them and along with Eden, Patti and Robin we will launch, “The Player Angels.” You can join us and have your photo featured on the Player website. Details are coming soon, but your membership gets you a sexy Player T-shirt like ours, a Free photo of the band and 10% off future merchandise, as well as, chances to win prizes and back stage passes. As a member you will know FIRST when and where they are playing next! So join us for the next concert, maybe in your city and be a “PLAYER ANGEL!”

Lori, Dev, Ronn, Lavinia

We spent a lovely afternoon with Lavinia Biagiotti and Katherine Kelly Lang, who gave me the most beautiful kaftan, literally off her back!

KKL’s Kaftans

Love those girls so much and am grateful to have such friends. Lori was in awe of all the shopping available in the center of Rome, so the whole day was great, although quite hot. Last night we arrived by train from Rome to Florence, which was cooler and rainy and then drove by car to stay with our friends Isabella and Francesco at his bed and breakfast farm. We are in our own spacious apartment surrounded by what seems to be vivid green vineyards. So peaceful and relaxing, it’s just what Ronn needs right now.

Lori & her white truffle pasta

We had dinner at the “Rosso Antico Osteria Moderna” restaurant, which was our best meal so far. I was so impressed with the white truffle sauce that I had to see the kitchen and get the recipe from the chef Claudio Buglioni. Apparently, the rare white truffle is only found in this area and they must be found by special trained dogs because they are deep in the ground. The rare white truffle is very expensive and only in season between September and November. If you haven’t tasted white truffle, it’s delicious and has a distinct taste and smell. This region supplies all the white truffles to exclusive areas of the world from this tiny area and the competition to find white truffle can be fierce because it can make the person who finds it very wealthy.

Claudio & Dev

I find Tuscan food to be some of the very best food in the world and have always adored this part of Italy because of it. Last time Ronn and I were here, we brought the kids and stayed with Ronn’s dance partner on “Ballando Con Le Stelle” Sara DiViara, so we hope to see her today. In the meantime, the quest to find a giant white truffle may be on our agenda.  They have offered to have Ronn as the guest star for the annual, “White Truffle Fair” in November, so we may be back then.

DevRonn

Can’t believe we have only a couple more days left of our trip before heading home. Tomorrow we head back to Rome to visit the castle of Laura and Lavinia Biagiotti. I always look forward to the wonderful talks I have with Laura. I can listen to her all day talk about history, art and her rare finds at flea markets, which she is taking us to on Sunday before we attend a wedding. So our trip is nice and relaxing now and the memories are truly special because everyone makes us feel so at home. It’s funny because every time we come to visit, I have to bring more spices to give to friends that are addicted to it like we are, especially Laura’s cooks. I’m looking forward to perhaps doing a Ronn’s Garage segment from the castle with Lavinia!

It feels like a dream being here on the most beautiful Island of Capri. I didn’t even know much about this area except that most of the elite come here to vacation and it’s one of the most unique places to visit. So being here feels surreal right now because we are still a bit tired from the trek here. No one is as tired as Ronn. He is like the energizer bunny who can keep going till his battery needs charging again, which is now. He always handles everything and everyone so gracefully and professionally and it’s sometimes hard for me to keep up with his pace. Between interviews, fans wanting photos, shootings and dinners, he hardly ever stops when visiting Italy. So it’s a rarity to just relax and enjoy. I’m watching my friend Lori embrace the whole experience with child-like eyes and wonder.  It’s a beautiful present for me to share this with someone like her. Ronn is so loved here and it was great to see him reunite with Katherine Kelly Lang. She’s always so sweet and fun to be around. They started the commercial shoot today very early, so it was bit of day for them both. So much so, that we are staying in and not going to dinner tonight. Just want to chill in our room and relax so that he’s fresh for tomorrow.  The Biagiotti fashion show yesterday was truly amazing and we loved the whole collection! Bright vintage 60’s colors and fun flowing prints made it so special and right up my alley. We went behind the scenes and watched Laura choose some of the models the day before the fashion show and it was an education to watch how much preparation goes into doing a collection for 15 minutes on the runway. Now Laura and Lavinia will start working for the next few months to prepare for the fall fashion show in March. As you know, Ronn and KKL did an appearance in Naples the night before so poor Ronn got no sleep and manage to fly back to Milan for the Biagiotti fashion show before Lori and I joined him and flew right back to Naples.  Getting to Capri, we had to take this hydrofoil boat for 45 minutes and I felt a bit nauseous.  Needless to say, after dinner with the clients for the commercial shoot, we were all dead tired. Then Ronn had to start today with only 3 hours of sleep. He and KKL are re-enacting a scene from Jackie O and Aristotle Onassis’ honeymoon here in Capri. They were in a million dollar wooden boat on some rough waters today filming.  Ronn is playing a dashing boatman that catches Kelly’s eye during chance meetings and there is someone else playing Aristotle. So it’s a very cute and interesting campaign that I am excited to see. Tomorrow is our 3 year wedding anniversary, so it’s extra special that we are just here in the same spot that so many interesting people have vacationed and enjoyed for centuries, including ancient Romans. I feel blessed to have had a second wedding a few months ago in gorgeous Puglia and now to experience our original anniversary in  Capri is unique and special. And we are so grateful to be here to celebrate our special day and I’m so proud of my husband and embracing every moment of our short time here.

It was a fun movie night at the Playboy mansion for Ronn and I had the pleasure of introducing Hef to one of his favorite TV stars, Michael C. Hall who plays “Dexter” on the popular Showtime drama. Our dear friend Wally Crowder who is the stunt coordinator on Dexter and his lovely wife Lori joined us in what seemed to be quite a moment for both Michael and Hef. Since Ronn and I saw Hef tweeting about watching Dexter and our friend Wally worked on the show, we thought we’d treat Hef for a change to something we knew he’d enjoy. Michael had never been to the Playboy mansion and was thrilled to meet Hef along with his girlfriend Morgan. I personally gave Michael a tour of the famous Grotto and Hef’s amazing zoo.

Lori and Dev

Then we had a wonderful dinner and it was such a pleasure to get to know the man behind serial killer, “Dexter.” Turns out I’m a little older than Michael and he admitted he saw his first Playboy in 1985 as he turned 14 right before my eyes. It was very cute to see the boy in him.

Ronn, Michael, Wally & Joel

Michael & Hef

Michael was sweet enough to bring Hef a DVD of the latest season of Dexter and Hef in turn presented Michael with the latest issue of Playboy. Hef was so excited to show Michael the very first page of the new issue because it was a 2 page ad for none other than “Dexter.” Needless to say the two of them bonded in a very special way and now Michael is part of the Playboy family. We enjoyed the movie “Lawless” with Shia LeBeauf and I don’t think Dexter is all that bad now. In fact we may end up hanging out with him more often! A special thank you to our wonderful friends Alison and Joel who helped make this all possible. It was beautiful to watch Hef and Dexter gush over each other, who knew?

It’s been quite a transition period for Ronn and I these past few weeks. Since he’s left the show, he’s had more time to devote to the girls. Creason is leaving for college soon, so the little bit of time we see her is rare. School starts next week for Calee and it will be strange for her to not have her big sister this year. So the girls are going through a transition along with us. Ronn always felt like he never had enough time with them because of his dedication to Ridge Forrester. It was nice to see him relax for a change and enjoy watching movies with them without having to cut it short to study a script for work the next day. It was also nice to have him make our daily cappuccinos that you know I so treasure. It’s become our morning ritual. He’s been overwhelmed with offers for various projects, including commercials, appearances and movies. So he wants to take his time in deciding what exactly he wants to do now. We are however visiting our second home of Italia at the end of September when Ronn will reunite with Katherine Kelly Lang for a fashion commercial and appearance. We plan to attend the Laura Biagiotti fashion show in Milan and enjoy some quality time with some of our friends. Ronn and Peter have completed the artwork for the new upcoming release of PLAYER’s album entitled, “Too Many Reasons.” I think that was fitting title to the new journey they are about to embark on soon with a tour that is being formulated now for Europe. It’s a must to see PLAYER in concert if you love their sound, there is no doubt you will LOVE this new CD. You may get the title track now at Itunes to sample for yourself. I know alot of you have been requesting more B&B and PLAYER trivia, so Ronn is aware of this and putting on his thinking cap. He’s told me so many great stories over the years, so I’m sure you will continue to enjoy that on twitter and facebook as they pop into his mind. He’s really having fun on twitter with you guys and understands it much better so it makes him happy to know what you want to see more of. I know you’d like to see more cooking segments with me, so we are planning on doing that as well. Ronn’s Garage is a huge hit with a fast growing audience all over the world and Ronn couldn’t be happier that you enjoy the latest one on our wedding vow renewal in Puglia. This was the most personal Ronn has ever shared publicly and I was so proud of it and him. Since the 25th of this month marks our 3 year wedding anniversary, it’s a beautiful anniversary present for me. I’m so happy you are all getting to know more of who Ronn is now, but I’m truly sorry you are counting down the days to say goodbye to Ridge on September 14th. I’m sure that day will go down in history as the most watched B&B episode. You know I’ll keep you informed on what’s happening and know that Ronn is here for you now more than ever on Twitter, FacebookRonn’s Garage and soon to be in person when Player tours.  Many of you have been asking how we are healing since the accident. I can tell you we both have good and bad days due to lack of sleep primarily. Ronn has 3 fractures in his shoulder and needs to see a surgeon for his opinion. He has trouble with his shoulder and this is making karate impossible right now. I have pain in my right hip and am awaiting an MRI on that area to find out more. We both are moving slowly, but happy and grateful for all your concern and well wishes. Right now for him, it’s “All About YOU.”

Since Ronn and I had a week of hell due to that horrific accident, we needed to have a little fun and see some of our friends at the Playboy’s Midsummer Night Dreams party. I had so many horrible bruises that I borrowed a black gown to wear this year and felt boring compared to some of the gorgeous lingerie outfits. I can’t wear high heals at all due to my hip problem, which was a bummer. And there was no way I could dance, but we managed to have fun just seeing friends like Playmates Barbara Moore, Sandra Taylor and Serria.

Mark Roesler & his wife Stacy

German Artist Michael Mobius was back in town with his 3D camera and this year the decor at the mansion was amazing, but things are really changing. Half the party was dressed in their PJs and half in black tie due to corporation changes. The food was yummy as usual, but there were not a lot of Playmates or friends we saw there this year, which was sad. Hef doesn’t stay at the parties as long anymore, but CeeLo Green performed and we managed to have a good time in spite of all the pain we had been suffering because it was good to get out of the house. Then yesterday was the big Aerosmith concert at the Hollywood Bowl that drummer Joey Kramer invited Ronn to months ago and Ronn completely forgot about it.

Johnny Depp and Devin

He’s been having lapses of memory loss lately since the accident. I hope it doesn’t last much longer because he goes back to work at B&B tomorrow. Since we missed the concert, we did make the after party compliments of Joey Kramer and his wife Linda.

Jim Carrey in 3D

We took Creason, Calee and their friend Selena to the Aerosmith after party that was held at the restaurant, “The Pink Taco” and got to meet Johnny Depp, Steve Tyler and Jim Carrey. The girls were thrilled, but I ended up in bed all day in pain with my hip from standing around a little too much.

Steven Tyler and Ronn

However, I was also happy to finally meet Johnny Depp especially and he was such a sweetheart. Will be nice to see him around town in Hollywood again. We are still waiting on the doctor to give Ronn his MRI results and I’m hoping he is back to normal soon. We did find out that we will be getting a new truck to replace our damaged one soon. However these two events were good medicine for a hellish week and we are still in total gratitude that we had some fun this weekend.

As most of you know by now, Ronn and I were in a horrible accident last Friday that involved 8 cars and totaled our brand new truck, which saved our lives.  This close call made us feel so much gratitude for having our lives spared. If we were in any of our other cars there is no doubt we could have been hurt a lot worst. As it stands, Ronn had a cut on his head that was bleeding, as well as a shoulder injury. I had a lot of bruising and the whole right side of my body is stiff, sore and painful. This accident came out of no where and this guy hit two other cars before hitting us and causing us to spin out of control hitting a lamp post that ended up on the hood of our truck. Needless to say, spending most of the night in the ER wasn’t fun. Ronn had never been in a car accident before and we both were rather disoriented and shaken up pretty badly. Because we have received so many calls, emails etc and it’s impossible to answer them all right now. We just wanted to express our sincere thanks for all your concern and update you on things. It could have been a lot worst, but thank God we are slowly recovering here. An angel was clearly watching over us and we are indeed counting our blessings. The pole hit the back door and blew out the glass instead of my door, which was a blessing. The pole didn’t hit the windshield which was a blessing and we didn’t walk out of the Starbucks when that crazy driver ended up on the sidewalk almost going straight into the Starbucks. Several people witnessed the entire accident and so hopefully things will be settled soon. Was funny to have several people asking me if that was “Ridge Forrester” at the scene of the accident. We are now dealing with everything and feeling like someone beat me up isn’t fun right now. So I apologize if I don’t respond to you in my usual manner for the next few days. I still feel like I’m moving in slow motion here.  Again Ronn and I can’t thank you enough for all the love and support.

We are proud of this month’s Ronn’s Garage “Summer Special” that is like 3 shows in one. Since we were in Italy for B&B’s remote shoot and PLAYER’s publicity tour, Ronn decided that he would document the trip. There was a small jam party at our house before we left for Italy, so Ronn included that in the special also and it is the 1st segment. The 2nd segment is the behind the scenes of the B&B shoot and the upcoming 3rd segment is our spontaneous vow renewal in romantic Puglia. We are very happy to see that so many of you are enjoying Ronn’s Garage and stats are showing that it is a huge hit. We welcome your comments and suggestions on making it better with each and every show. Ronn is truly enjoying producing and editing each new show and wants to know what you think. His goal is make the interviews moving and personal, the music fun and to make you feel like you are there with us when we travel. The next upcoming Ronn’s Garage guests will include, Katherine Kelly Lang, Australian artist Brett Livingston Strong and “Quiet Riot” drummer Frankie Banali. So please check out Ronn’s Garage and spread the word that more is coming!

After spending two weeks in beautiful Italia, it was good to sleep in my own bed. However, the jet lag this time really hit me hard and took a good week to get back on track. I think it’s because we barely recouped from Bora Bora and then took off to Italy. So it feels like we have been traveling for months. I felt disoriented and then had a bit of a health scare when we arrived home. I needed to rest and totally get back to normal. I even made a mistake on a spice order and Ebay order by sending the orders to the wrong people! This is something that I just don’t do and I guess it didn’t help that they both had the same name! Nevertheless this is the time of year that starts to get even busier for Ronn and I. Summer parties, events, charities, award shows, kid related things and friends visiting help make our weekends jam packed. I’m not complaining because we have a fun and full life, it’s just hard to keep up with it all sometimes. And having a quiet day with nothing to do is always rare and appreciated. This past week two of my longtime girlfriends are in town visiting. One from Houston, Laura and one from Chicago, Stacey and both are always fun to catch up with . We find ourselves talking our heads off about old times til the wee hours of the morning and having lots of laughs. It was also my friend Lori’s birthday so we celebrated by taking her limo to the “American Idol Finale” compliments of Aerosmith’s drummer Joey Kramer and his wife Linda. Poor Ronn had a long day at work, so long that he slept in his dressing room due to an early day the next day. So Lori got to be my date and we had a blast with terrific seats right up front and center. Then last night my girlfriend Stacey visiting from Chicago invited us to “The Mint” to see some live music which is always something Ronn likes. Turns out it was a small standing room only venue and Johnny Depp was playing drums! Johnny Depp on Drums is just something you don’t see or expect and I must say he was pretty good! We were with drummer Frankie Banali and his girl Regina Russell so it was a surprise treat for them. As exciting as my week as been so far, it’s not over. We still have the kids coming over today and a couple of BBQ parties to attend so by the time Memorial day is over, I’ll need another few days to recover to get back on track!  Don’t get me wrong, I look forward to each and every day that is spent healthy and enjoying life so that I can blog about it and share it with you!

We are back from Puglia and a bit jet lagged still, but the memories will linger for a while. I had never been to southern Italy and must admit was a bit excited to see this region. We stayed the first few days at the Masseria San Domenico  which was where B&B filmed. The food was absolutely amazing, fresh home grown vegetables were so great that’s all I wanted to eat there. The weather was a lot like LA with sunny warm days and cooler nights. A few miles away from the Masseria San Domenico is another newer hotel called, Borgo Egnazia and both places are owned by the same people. The Borgo Egnazia is so romantic and beautifully decorated with an award winning spa. The cast and crew were made to feel at home at both places since some of the crew were staying at the Borgo Egnazia. We were treated to complimentary massages, facials and body scrubs and the whole atmosphere felt like heaven. Two other location days were spent at this gorgeous little town, Alberobello, where all the homes have cone like roof tops  and the town of Polignano a Mare. Both places were a must to see and the people are so nice. Puglia provides 70% of the world’s olive oil and has so many amazing olive trees everywhere. They also provide 10% of Europe’s wine and pasta. At the end of the B&B shoot, Ronn and I moved over to the Borgo Egnazia to stay in one of the 3 bedroom private villas that had it’s own pool. The villa was like our own private little mansion. We invited some of our European friends like German artist Michael Mobius and designer Lavinia Biagiotti to come and share it with us. Ronn and Katherine Kelly Lang did a commercial in Bari after the B&B shoot was over, so this was an added treat to our final day there. Puglia has become a very special place for us and we will surly return. An upcoming special “Ronn’s Garage” episode will be dedicated to our experiences there, truly a magical place for us!
