Ronn recently said he saw a great saying on Facebook that said, “Karma is only a bitch if you are.” I thought that was a fantastic saying and so profoundly true. I think you know me a bit better by now and know that I use the word bitch with humor most of time. Since I’m into animal rescue it kinda goes with that and I love to call my husband a dog, affectionately and also with humor. So he sometimes calls me a “bitch.” I know he means it affectionately depending on the tone of his voice.
However the phrase, “A Bitch Called Karma” I think has a different meaning and the timing of how karmic things happen and to whom they happen to and why, is what I mean by this phrase. There has been a lot of that karmic thing happening to many aspects of our lives both professionally and personally due to the choices we make in life.
Our decisions and choices play a big part on how karma works in our universe. “You reap what you sew” as the saying goes. Lately karmic timing has been playing a big part in our lives and the universal magic has been testing us with wonderful lessons. It is during these life lessons that I am feeling most grateful to learn from them and grow my soul. Life isn’t always unicorns and colored lights in a fantasy atmosphere, well maybe sometimes it is.
Life isn’t always about how successful you are in the world’s eyes, because as we know true success comes with happiness from within. This happiness is at it’s greatest when shared with others. It is sometimes during our greatest challenges that we learn our greatest lessons. And it is sometimes the journey of getting to your biggest goals that is the most exciting.
I’ve always had an adaptable personality regarding change. It didn’t matter where I lived or what I did as long as I felt happy and well, I could easily adapt to the change. Some people cannot do this and live their whole lives in fear of the unknown. How can you know what’s out there if you don’t reach out and explore?
It is usually fear holding us back and keeping us safe. Recent career choices have been a lot of trusting our inner gut and the universal energy to guide us. It has led both Ronn and I to sharing more of ourselves with you, and have led Ronn back to his roots with music. The past couple weeks has been hectic because Player’s new drummer has had to learn their whole set of songs and Peter Beckett is a perfectionist when it comes to the music. Ronn loves having the guys over and everyone usually stays overnight because of the long drive for Johnny. So this means lots of male bonding that includes, action movies and of course buckets of wine.

I don’t mind because the music these guys make together is magical and I’ve watched the evolution firsthand. They are all so talented and the music is so good that I never get tired of listening to them. I know our neighbors feel the same way. So I can bet that the upcoming Ramshead concert this Saturday will be most exciting. Women will be throwing their bras and panties to these guys and I can understand why!
I will be hanging out with some of my Playmate sisters at the Long Beach Glamourcon and am really looking forward to that. It’s been a long time and it’s okay to be apart sometimes in a marriage. Since we are both working and having fun doing the things we love.

It was a blast as usual to go to Hef’s famous “Midsummer Night Dreams” party. This year party had cirque du solei girls and “Pitbull” as the star entertainment. The party felt more like a gorgeous nightclub this year. It was obviously sponsored by “Patron” and had a more corporate feeling to it rather than the exclusive vibe of going to visit Hef at his home. Gone are those years never to be seen again. Playboy is now all about the brand. Hell we even got temporary tattoos of gold and silver bunnies on different parts of our bodies that we can’t take off now as a result of that evening! It was great to see a few familiar faces and to run into iconic Playmates like Ola Ray who still looks fabulous and is now blonde!

Getting back to that “Bitch called Karma,” I use that phrase to make a point of how things in our lives change sometimes for the best. However, the choices we make and we must make them constantly, can move us forward of backward depending on how we handle others. Both Ronn and I are extremely straightforward people who try and live our lives better tomorrow than we did today and always with love, respect and gratitude.
