It’s been going on four months that we have been in Europe preparing an extensive summer music tour. Ronn has never had the time or a proper tour facilitated in Europe before now. Many fans are just learning that he was a musician way before he was Ridge Forrester! So time is what was needed to rehearse and prepare for what we know will be an amazing summer tour in Europe for 2019!
Ronn now has an amazing Italian band, a Belgium band and soon he will form his own version of Player in the states. Right now the Belgium band is called, “The Bad and The Beautiful” due to Italian/Belgium drummer, Fabrizio Muto, who was a former president of the Hell’s Angels, hence the name of the band becoming, “The Bad and The Beautiful.” Concerts are now forming for Spain and Greece with this band for next year in addition to his Italian band’s extensive tour of Italy.
Ronn also has another tour of Australia with Jawn Star scheduled for March 2019 and we are developing a romantic comedy film that Ronn will star in next year! We have been tossing many movie projects around the past few years that Ronn wants to do and hasn’t had the time to develop, due to touring and his focus on music, but now he will indeed start acting on these movie projects, which will also include his music that we will be producing. In addition to movies and music, there is the debut of the fourth season of “The Bay” coming soon to Amazon Prime that includes the shows shot in Belgium that we were co- executive producers on last year! To keep up with Ronn’s touring schedule please track him on Reverbnation or Bandsintown, as well as, his website!
We have traveled many times to Italy and seen many beautiful cities, but Castiglione del Lago really stands out as a magical, almost fairy tale like in its vibe, with a real castle to boot! The first thing you notice is the majestic castle that is in the center of this little town overlooking a beautiful lake and situated outside of Perugia, Italy. Just getting the pronunciation correct in saying Castiglione del Lago gives you the sense you are really in the heart of Italy. This city is in the region of Umbria, known for some of the best Italian wines.
Castiglione del Lago immediately felt like home to us when we met third generation native, Mario Barbini who welcomed us with open arms into his beautifully restored 500 year old Palazzo Barbini apartments. Our two bedroom apartment was spacious, charming and had a beautiful view of the city and a private terrace. It also had the cutest kitchen that I was dying to cook in, but we were kept so busy with amazing dinners and lunches that I simply didn’t have time! Ronn went to Castiglione del Lago to prepare the songs he would be doing for his first ever Italian music tour set for summer 2019. The music director lives in Castiglione del Lago and so we needed to be near his studio to go over all the music for the tour production, which required daily recordings and computer insertions for the video editor to coordinate and for the band to prepare to rehearse later next month with Ronn.
However, it didn’t feel like work at all for Ronn because we were having such a great time in between his creative process. The two weeks spent in Castiglione del Lago flew by and will forever be ingrained in our minds as one of the most special and unique places we have visited. We also took some time to visit another charming city nearby called, Assisi before checking out the seaside of Abruzzo. Ronn made some rare personal appearances in these areas to meet with as many fans as possible and to check out possible venues for the tour. It’s hard to believe we have now been in Europe for two months as this time has flown by so fast, and we are now relaxing in our beautiful Rome Loft situated in the center of Rome. We can’t recommend this place enough for anyone traveling to see the sights of Rome, as its a perfect location to walk just about everywhere. We will now head to Belgium for a few appearances and preparation with Ronn’s “Bad and Beautiful” band for the next couple weeks before heading back to Italy for band rehearsals and more surprises to share later!
Verona has always been one of those fantasy places to visit on my bucket list and finally we had the time and the opportunity to explore it! Ronn was invited to go to the Venice Film Festival gala and since Verona was only an hour and half train ride away, we decided to visit what Shakespeare depicted in “Romeo and Juliet” for our own eyes to see. The things we are discovering about Verona has made us fall in love all over again in a city that is as charming as it’s name.
I didn’t realize Verona was so close to Venezia, Rome, Firenze and Milan, all of which are only a couple of hours away by train. What we love so far about Verona is most all of the city is within walking distance to the charming center and gives off an essence of a smaller version of Rome, especially with the beautiful Arena displayed for operas and concerts. This experience of exploring Verona was a spontaneous one due to the fact that Ronn is in the midst of planning out his world tour of Europe in a much bigger way that we originally expected. We were not suppose to arrive in Europe until the end of September, but due to the invite to the Venice Film Festival, we decided to come early and have a bit of fun in between.
This city is warm and cozy with all the charm and vibe you would expect from hearing its name. It makes you wonder if Romeo and Juliet really did exist and so a visit to Juliet’s house is a must see for fantasy and lovers to take photos on Juliet’s balcony, write their names on a wall entrance and even a letter via email to Juliet. As we wandered the streets of Verona, many people stopped Ronn for photos and we were invited to try the restaurant of one longtime fan.
“Il Banco Prosciutteria” was simply an amazing experience. So far it was the best meal we have had in Verona! The presentation was unique and the restaurant also has a downstairs private room and outdoor seating. We are planning to go to dinner there again soon! “Angelucci’s” was an awesome place for pizza that had a unique array of toppings and “Perbacco” was a very simple family style restaurant that gave you a preset menu which included wine, water and coffee. This place had the greatest value for the homestyle food it served.
Ronn and I really are loving Verona, it reminds us of a quieter version of Rome. So far we have met some really nice people, made new friends, had some wonderful meals and saw a concert of “Pink Floyd Legend” in the beautiful outdoor Roman theater. We look forward to seeing an opera someday in the gorgeous arena and its been quite an experience to walk around all the shops with Ronn. He seems to be loved in Verona and we are falling in love with its magic also.
It’s always a treat to visit one of our favorite countries, Italia, which really is our “seconda casa,” as we love to say. As always, the food, hospitality and warmth of this country is truly nothing less than spectacular. And Italy has had a beautiful love affair with Ronn for decades. It has been six years since we visited the region of Puglia. The last time we were there, we renewed our wedding vows because it was so romantic, so being back there was like another honeymoon for us. We spent time relaxing by Fasano beach at the Canne Bianche hotel and spa for a few days and even though the weather was a bit rainy, we couldn’t have been happier.
I have enjoyed their wonderful spa and had a four hand massage, which was incredible! Nothing like two massage therapists giving you a massage at the same time! The “Pepper Aroma Peeling” scrub left my body silky soft and the staff was fantastic. Ronn did a great appearance for their annual car racing event and from there we headed over to stay a couple days at the beautiful “Masseria Torre Cocarro.” We both experienced an olive oil massage and a grotto like pool. Unfortunately, we didn’t make it to the “Borgo Egnazia” where we renewed our vows in 2012 on this visit, but hope to return to Puglia again soon.
We then headed to see friends like Gina Lollobrigida in Rome and celebrated my big 55th birthday with Lavinia Biagiotti. As always, the food at the Marco Simone Golf Restaurant is incredible and the hospitality we experience at the Biagiotti castle is like home for us. We then made our way to Florence to catch up with American friends, Wayne and Rhonda Nelson. Wayne is the lead singer in the American version of “Little River Band.” We had an amazing dinner at one of the oldest restaurants, “Il Paiolo” in the center of Florence and also caught up with Ronn’s ‘Ballando Con Le Stelle” dance partner, Sara DiViara and her family. It was great to see them and experience a Florentine steak at the “Trattoria Dall Oste” which is a must when visiting Florence.
We then continued on to the countryside of Tuscany to visit the “Tenuta Chiudendone” vineyard and see our dear friends Isabella and Francesco who just had a new baby boy. Prince was a bit jealous of me holding the baby and we had fun doing a cooking class after picking vegetables from their garden. Its always a wonderful peaceful experience at the “Tenuta Chiudendone.”
We are also excited about some new opportunities we are planning to produce for next year just for Italy! In the meantime, we are truly in gratitude for this scrumptious treat we are experiencing so far. Our last weekend journey continued in Amsterdam for a few days of meetings for Ronn’s upcoming European tour, which will start in Belgium and the Netherlands this fall. Ronn has a new song and music video dedicated to our love for Italy coming soon, along with new Ronn Moss merchandise for his tour, which will include his own signature fragrance line, scarves, T-shirts and a new CD! A cover story on Ronn for Primo magazine in Belgium talks about all the exciting upcoming plans!
The past few weeks have felt like a tour of Europe for us because we have been living mostly out of our suitcases. Since Ronn likes to mix business with pleasure when coming to Europe, I’m totally okay with this European tour. When Ronn was on B&B he would often come to Europe and would never get to really visit the places he would go to because he had to rush back to do scenes for B&B, so now when we travel to Europe, we like to take our time and really take in the cities and sites we are visiting. So while we come often these days for business, we are indeed enjoying ourselves in the process and taking time to spend having fun as well. This trip was primary for “Fashion Week” in Milan to attend the Laura Biagiotti fashion show. It was the first for Lavinia Biagiotti since her mother Laura passed away last year and we couldn’t have been more proud of her. The show was a smashing success! It became apparent that Ronn can no longer walk around Milan without getting mobbed for photos by nearly everyone! He had to have a police escort and had to take cover in stores to get a break from it, but the love that Italy has for him is so beautiful to witness. It also seems to be that way everywhere we go in Europe and of all ages, including young men and women.
It was also near Ronn’s birthday and we both had a last minute opportunity to be included in the Comic Con convention in Rotterdam. I had done a Comic con show in San Diego in the past, but Ronn had never done these type of shows and I thought it would be fun for him to experience one. Those of you who haven’t been to these kinds of shows may not know what die hard fans go to them and dress up in their favorite characters from their favorite action and fantasy movies and TV shows. There are Q & A sessions with some of the stars and meet and greet photo sessions and tons of movie and TV show memorabilia that you can buy. And It’s a way to get personally signed autographed photos from your favorite actors like the “Arrow” series star, Manu Bennett from New Zealand, who hung out with us and helped celebrate Ronn’s birthday.
After Comic con, we went on to Amsterdam for a couple of days and had a productive meeting with a company that is interested in producing, “Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning” in Europe. I’m very excited about this collaboration because it will be with no salt, yet still have all the flavor of my recipe. As you guys remember, I introduced Cajun cooking to Belgium last year and I hope to bring more of that throughout Europe in the future. We also had a production meeting on Ronn’s upcoming European music tour this fall and on all the Ronn Moss merchandise that is coming, including a Ronn Moss fragrance. Later this month we will go to Belgium to smell it and finalize the packaging along with other Ronn Moss products for the tour and I will be posting all the tour dates for Belgium and The Netherlands on his website very soon!
When we come to Europe, we always try and spend some time in Rome, which is one of Ronn’s favorite cities and this visit we had dinner with Hollywood legend, Gina Lollobrigida before heading off to St. Moritz for a few days. Switzerland was a country I had never visited before and Ronn had the opportunity to meet some of St. Moritz’ most important people in charge of future events in St. Moritz that are interested in him hosting and participating in their annual winter season. Our friend, Gian Franco Tordi is a native from St. Moritz and has been trying to get us to come there for quite some time, so we spent a few nights at the fabulous Kulm Hotel filming a talk show and meeting with everyone. I got to experience the most amazing spa in the Kulm hotel and even did a periscope of going into the outdoor pool overlooking the picturesque snowy mountains.
After St. Moritz, we headed Milan for an appearance on the TV show, “Domenica Live” and then stopping into Florence before heading into the countryside of Tuscany for some quiet time with our friends Francesco and Isabella who are expecting their second baby in a couple of months. They have the most amazing villa that really gives you the flavor of what Tuscany is all about and they make amazing wine and olive oil on their property. If you guys are interested in experiencing their villa you can view it here. Our trip so far has been a fun one mixed in with a bit of business and a lot of pleasure. We still have some business meetings in the next couple of weeks in Belgium and Milan to attend and we plan to visit Venice before Easter. So our European tour continues with many other things coming to share with you over the next year!
I believe there are no such thing as coincidences and that everything happens for a reason. So it was at first strange to me that Ronn would do his first European concert in a place like Estonia. When the request came in months ago, I wasn’t really thrilled to go anywhere that was obviously very very cold during the month of December, but after visiting Estonia, I have become quite impressed with the people and their hospitality. First of all many people may not know how tech savvy the Estonians are and that they developed Skype, among other notable things and that they are a very small country of only 1.3 million people. They have built themselves up from gaining their independence from Russia 26 years ago! And yes it’s quite cold there, but the people are very warm and welcoming.
We were immediately greeted by TV 3 at the airport for interviews and gifted yummy cupcakes that had the original B&B characters on them and we were told that two generations of Estonians learned the Finnish language due to watching Ronn on that show. It was obvious from our visit that Estonians grew up watching Ronn and he was truly loved there and like every country we visit, everyone wanted a photo. The concert was really beautiful and a lovely first experience for Ronn and the amazing Jawn Star as a result, we are happy to announce a European tour is now in the works for the fall of 2018.
Since we were so close to Finland and had some friends come by the boat ferry over to Estonia, we decided to travel back with them to celebrate their 100th year of Independence from Russia, which turned out to be quite an experience for us. It was beautiful to learn more of their history and see the pride they have for their country. Apparently, there is a movie called, “The Unknown Soldier” that is all about the Finns and how they gained their freedom against the odds from Russia. Even though the Russians had over a million soldiers against the Finns with only over 200 thousand, they won their independence because they are a strong group of people who love and take a lot of pride in their country. We had visited Finland back in 2013 when Ronn did a commercial there and it was also obvious that they all loved and adored Ronn, so going back to celebrate this milestone was really special for us.
Now when I think of the Baltic region of Europe, I will have fond memories of our visit and look forward to returning for Ronn’s European tour later next year. It was wonderful to see our friend Henri Alen who has opened two new restaurants, “Sue Ellen” and “Finnjavel.” Some of you may remember that we guested on his cooking show, “American Food Battle” in which he challenged me in cooking gumbo. Seems southern cooking is what inspired him to create unique dishes for his restaurant, “Sue Ellen” and yes the name was inspired by that TV show, “Dallas.” We had wonderful crab biscuits, pickeled okra, fried green tomatoes and champagne to toast their 100th year of independence. “Finnjavel” which Henri told us means, “Finnish Bastard” a nickname the Swedish gave them was quite a different experience in dining. We had 7 course of typical Finnish inspired dishes with Henri’s signature twist of artistic flare that included, Reindeer! Even Prince enjoyed Reindeer which tasted very much like beef and loves chef Henri’s cooking! Thank you Estonia and Finland for making us feel so welcome, we look forward to our next visit!
It’s been a while since we have visited Italy due to so many other obligations over the past few years, so it feels great to be back at our seconda casa. Ronn and Italy have had a love affair that has expanded over three decades. He did his first movie in Italy and they fell in love with him from “The Bold and The Beautiful,” which led to his dancing appearances on “Ballando Con Le Stelle” in 2009/2010. Now we are hoping to make some Ronn Moss concerts happen so Italy can see Ronn sing live in the future. In the meantime, it seems most Italians have missed seeing him and it’s become impossible to walk around Rome without constantly being stopped for photos. Rome has been one of the cities we have visited the most often and it always feels great to come back, like a second home.
While Ronn has been preparing for his live concert on the 5th of December in Estonia, he was invited to do a Christmas commercial for the Italian department store chain, “Acqua and Sapone.” So we decided to spend the Christmas holiday season with our dear friend, Lavinia Biagiotti who lost her mother designer, Laura Biagiotti earlier this year. Lavinia and Laura have been our Italian family for the past decade and we always stay at the Biagiotti castle outside of Rome as much as possible when visiting Rome. So it seemed fitting to spend this Christmas with Lavinia because we all felt so sad over the death of our beloved Laura.

Due to other promotional obligations, we are also traveling to Belgium to introduce the video and song for the children’s charity project that Ronn has launched with Belgium star, Chris Van Tongelen and German star, Melanie Wiegmann later this month. This is a terrific charity song that we are hoping to expand out to other countries to join in the quest to raise money for various children charities because children are our hope for a better tomorrow. We are planning to visit Finland for a couple of days after Estonia, since we are so close and celebrate their 100th independence day with them and there a few other surprises in the works that I will tell you about with they are more finalized.
It’s hard to believe that 2017 is almost over and another year is just ahead. Time is passing us by so fast and we must be grateful for each and every moment of happiness that we have. There have been so many losses this year of beloved loved ones and so many turbulent things happening in our world today that many of us have endured. So we are hoping and wishing for a more peaceful and loving solution to many of these issues as we embark on 2018. Sending you all lots of love and blessings for this holiday season from our family to yours!
It’s been difficult to find the time to blog these past few weeks. Ronn and I have been on the go, meaning living out of our suitcases from the vineyards of Bordeaux to Rotterdam and some stops like Paris and Gent in between. It’s been an awesome experience of fun changes in culture, food and people. We have met some people we can see will indeed become lifelong new friends. Our past few months in Europe has been one of the best experiences of our lives! It’s been a priceless, educational look at what we want for our future and we are thinking seriously of splitting our time between Europe and LA. This has always been a dream of mine and I feel more European anyway. Maybe it’s growing up in Louisiana, but I can see and feel the influence of the European culture on me, especially when it comes to food and wine. And Belgium is just so centrally located to traveling anywhere within Europe that we have decided to make it our hub. We have especially fallen in love with beautiful Gent and I was thrilled to make the first remote overseas happen for “The Bay”in Gent! We filmed two days of season 4 at the gorgeous 1989 The Post hotel that is located on the canal in the center of Gent. However, I became really ill during the first day of “The Bay” shoot and was throwing up so badly that I thought I had food poisoning from eating too many raw oysters in Rotterdam. This stomach bug lasted nearly a week for me making it difficult for me to enjoy the food and wine we were having in Bordeaux on our first day there, but now I’m finally feeling better and looking forward to getting back home to America and to our friends and family in time for Thanksgiving.
Since we have been here the past few months, we have also witnessed the most horrific crisis’ America has ever faced. Two unbelievable devastating hurricanes that made the state of Florida and Texas declared two of the worst natural disasters ever in our lifetime! Then came the death of our beloved Hugh Hefner and the iconic, Tom Petty which really shocked us all and the horrific shootings in Las Vegas. Hearing of these tragic events made us very sad, but it also made us even more grateful for all of the wonderful, positive new experiences, friendships and new creative ventures that have been forming. Our ever expanding universe is just filled with surprises along your given path in life. It’s important for you to pay attention and be inspired more than be in comparison to others. It often leads you on the right path with pots of gold at the end. Priceless, beautiful gifts that come around once in a lifetime, that are one of a kind or too magnificent to put into mere words have been some of the things we have experienced over these past few months.
We have had the unique opportunity to be completely present in the beauty of Belgium and have had the time to get to know this country from living in Antwerp, De Haan and Brugge. It’s been so nice to stay put in one place and experience all that it has to offer in the way of food, culture and their way of life. I just love how Europe in general really takes pride and put good nutritious food as a priority in their lives. Restaurants are always filled with lots of lively people enjoying great memories they are sharing with others over food and wine on a daily basis. Ronn and I got to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary in one of my favorite places, Bordeaux. We even re-connected with the owner of a chateau we stayed at the last time we were in Bordeaux, which was 8 years ago just before we got married. So our short time spent again with these people was a beautiful experience. Our friend is the most passionate person I’ve ever met about wines, especially Bordeaux wines! He knows practically all of the wineries and their owners and publishes the local newsletter on the “Bordeaux Experience.” We were invited to Bordeaux by new friends who came to Ronn’s show in Blankenberge over the summer. It turns out that our new Bordeaux friends are actually from Belgium and also have a gorgeous winery in Bordeaux, so I guess you could say it was meant to be that we celebrate our anniversary there.
Paris is one of my favorite cities and a city you could never see enough of or experience all that it has to offer. We only had a day to see something Ronn and I hadn’t seen yet and it was recommended that we see the top of “Montimartre” to see the view of the city. It happened to be a beautiful sunny day and we got a good amount of exercise climbing those stairs to reach the top of Montimartre. When we reached the top there were a trio of men singing that became infectious enough to make Ronn join in with them. This was not something I’ve not seen him do before. There was an outdoor food and wine tasting going on and we hung out walking around and tasting a variety of scrumptious foods and wines before catching our train back to Antwerp. This was a week excursion to France that also made us appreciate being back in Belgium because most people speak English, although being in France made us want to learn French because it’s such a beautiful language to listen to in any capacity.
We are now counting down the days before we will return home to the states and Ronn is doing a few more shows of “Brasschaatste Huisvrouwen” with the final shows in Brugge next week. They have been getting standing ovations for their performances like the one last week in Gent. It’s beautiful to see how much Belgium loves Ronn and appreciates his musical and acting talents. I’ve also witnessed the same love during our short visit to France. Seems like everyone wants a photo with him for their mothers, grandmothers and themselves. Ronn is looking forward to coming back for some really cool new projects in the way of music, merchandising, hosting and acting in the near future. He is also excited about the upcoming concerts in December that will be in Spain, Estonia, and Latvia. We will also visit beautiful Vienna in December and may be adding in a few more surprises for DevRonn fans along the way like the upcoming DevRonn party this coming weekend. I will be cooking my gumbo for a select group at the Van de Valk Hotel in Gent on Oct 22nd. We also have some interest in our Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning and Ronn’s BBQ Sauce recipes being developed in Belgium for distribution in Europe. So I guess I’ll be cooking a bit more in Europe in the future which makes me happy!
Witnessing the devastating losses from the recent natural disasters, mass shootings and wildfires over just the past four months has also shown us how precious, fragile and brief life itself really is. It’s important to surround ourselves with those who lift us up, enlighten and understand that standing together is way more empowering that standing alone. There is power in numbers for those of us that want a common positive goal. So we always try to find a way to give back, have fun and enjoy the life we have been so blessed to have.
Mere words cannot describe our experiences here in Belgium over the past couple of months. We have made lifelong friends and created new and challenging experiences that will last a lifetime! When Ronn agreed to do the variety show, “The Bolle en de Beautiful” he did not know exactly what to expect, since he had never done a live variety show that included comedy and music? Now that it’s almost over with almost 20 live shows under his belt, the experience has been overwhelmingly positive and beautiful to say the least. A filled house of men and women, young and old loving every minute of this amazing cast of talented performers has been a memory we will never ever forget. And we have totally fallen in love with the tiny country of Belgium!
Belgium has beautiful polite people who mostly speak English, as well as, French and German. They are very proud of their wide variety of beers, chocolate and great food and it was Belgium that was the creator of “French Fries” not the French as most believe because they are call “French Fries.” There is great history in Belgium for being surrounded by much larger countries such as, France, Germany, Holland and England. These bigger countries have all tried to invade this tiny little country and have not prevailed for a reason, because Belgium people are very strong, kind and brave. As small as they are, they have endured two world wars and have learned to keep their tiny little country theirs, so that says alot about them in my opinion.
The cast of the “The Bolle en de Beautiful” were a small cast of tremendous talent and Ronn has been proud to be a part of such a show. He is now excited to embark on the original theatrical play, “Brasschaatse Huisvrouwen” in a couple of weeks and as usual, has pushed himself to combined endless play rehearsals in conjunction with his performances on “The Bolle en de Beautiful,” which has gotten rave 5 start reviews and has filled the house for every performance! The Belgian people have shown their love and admiration for Ronn and he is most grateful for this opportunity to try new and different creative things at this point in his life. I too am very proud of my husband for taking chances and stretching himself as an artist. He has proven he can do anything he sets his mind to and do it well.
Although we have been busy with Ronn’s play rehearsals and performances, we have taken the time to get some exercise and ride our bikes to the beautiful Brugge, which is called the “Venice of the North.” We are looking forward to our move next week to Antwerp where the play, ‘Brasschaatse Huisvrouwen” will be seen starting on the 8th of September. We are also looking forward to visiting the beautiful city of Gent and going to the horse races next week. The weather has been very pleasant for us because we don’t usually get to see much rain in southern California, so the occasional rain showers or thunder storms has not bothered us in the least. We are looking forward to seeing the colorful fall leaves before we leave in late October.
In the meantime, I have a weekly column in Primo magazine called, “Ronn and Me” for you guys to keep up on past experiences we have had in cities like, De Haan and Brugge since we have been here the past couple of months. We are only half way through our 4 month experience of Belgium and look forward to sharing much much more with you guys. Mr. Prince has been enjoying himself as well with lots of yummy treats from so many wonderful fans, as well as, his various toys he is now collecting. Ronn and I have been so touched by numerous fans bringing us a variety of chocolates, cookies, clothing, cologne and cards telling us how much we mean to them. Well we just want to let you know how much that has touched our hearts and how blessed we feel to have shared this amazing time with all of you!
Please follow us on Instagram for more photos @ronnmoss @devindevasquez @mrprince1999 and be sure to drop us a line on our websites www.devindevasquez.com www.ronnmoss.com and let us know your thoughts. We love hearing from you guys!
It’s been nearly three weeks since we arrived in Europe for Ronn’s performances in Belgium. The first week was rather hectic adjusting to the time change, jet lag and the rehearsals for the premiere VIP performance of the variety show, “The Bolle en de Beautiful” which is already a big hit in Blankenberge. Since this was our first time in this part of Belgium, we found the beaches of Blankenberge were gorgeous. There is a boardwalk of great restaurants and shops near the theater where the weekend performances will be held all summer. And the food in Belgium is amazing, especially the mussels and seafood!
We also explored a bit of the gorgeous town of Brugge, which has picturesque canals throughout the village. We stopped in Antwerp for lunch on our way to Amsterdam and look forward to seeing more of both these cities when Ronn starts the run of the play, “Brasschaatse Huisvrouwen” which is a comedy this fall. So far our stay in Belgium is turning out to be quite fun and we look forward to bike rides along the beach and throughout the beautiful little town of De Haan.
After that first week of the VIP performances, we learned to our surprise that we had a two week vacation before the actual run of the variety show would start and decided to visit beautiful Amsterdam by car, compliments of Peugeot! So Ronn got to experience driving for the first time in Europe. We were invited to be on the RTL Amsterdam show, “Boulevard” and met up with our DevRonn fanclub members for a drink before that show. Coincidentally, we found that we were staying with dear friends in Breulelen, which is a beautiful little village a half hour outside of Amsterdam. Turns out it’s also the hometown of our very own DevRonn fanclub president, Angelique de Vries!
Ronn is getting so fond of driving the Peugeot that he wanted to take the 8 hour plus drive to visit our dear friend and pop German artist known for the beautiful bubblegum art of Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn, Michael Moebius. We have never really seen Germany and wanted to visit Dresden, so this has become quite an adventure so far! Ronn has been driving very fast because there is no speed limit restrictions in some areas the route here in Germany!
Ronn has upcoming TV shows and appearances in Italy and possibly, St. Tropez, Nice and Amsterdam to look forward to before we leave Europe in late October. Right now, we are enjoying spending some quality time in Dresden and have been staying in the beautiful “Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski” compliments of Michael Moebius. This place is truly amazing and so elegant.
We and Mr. Prince have been enjoying some amazing dinners and made the cover of Primo magazine for Belgium. Seems the magazine editors have been so impressed with our adventures that I have been offered my own weekly column about Ronn and Me while we are here in Europe. So I will surely keep you guys informed up to date on our upcoming adventures with the one and only Mr. Prince also.
We have been in Belgium for a week now and have finally adjusted from the jet lag as Ronn rehearsed for his preview performances of the live musical comedy variety show “De Bolle en de Beautiful,” which we are excited about. Tomorrow is the first of 3 private performance for press and VIP people over the next three days. The actual performances start on July 22nd in beautiful Blankenberg. In the meantime, DevRonn has an a two week European vacation and will visit friends in Germany, Amsterdam, Paris and Italy! Of course I will be livestreaming and taking you guys with us through our adventure over the next four months that we are based in Belgium. It’s been such a blissful and relaxing time thus far in Belgium. We have already visited the beautiful city of Brugge which is minutes way from the beaches of Blankenberg and plan to go back many more times to take in the gorgeous canals and beauty of its uniqueness. So for now I am feeling blissful in Belgium and will keep sharing more pics and videos, as well as, social media and here on our blog throughout our summer as we will continue exploring more cities like Antwerp and Gent.Fans of all ages have been wanting to take photos with Ronn as we walk around the town of DeHaan and what’s aweome about Belgium is that most people speak English, as well as, Dutch, French and German depending on where they live. Everyone is so polite and the food is awesome!
Mr Prince is having a ball eating great filet steaks and french fries and he even got to see the New Power Generation perform in concert and met up with Andre Cymone backstage. He also seems to be enjoying his daddy’s rehearsals and the stage director and crew think he’s a cool dude just like his daddy!
I think my hubby is having is having a great time doing this show and being able to stay for a while in one place! Ronn has some TV appearances and more musical concert surprises coming up this fall that I will be taking you guys to so stay tune and keep following because the best is yet to come!! Wishing everyone back home a great 4th of July!!
Player was excited to be a part of the inaugural, 70s Rock and Romance cruise to Cozumel, Mexico this past weekend. We took off from Fort, Lauderdale on the Celebrity Summitt cruiseline and simply had a blast of a weekend. Many of our friends were onboard as we were joined by other classic rock bands from the 70s, which is my favorite music that included, Ambrosia, Firefall, Orleans, Little River Band, America, Christopher Cross, Peter Frampton and ELO. It was an incredible weekend of just band hopping from one amazing band to the next! I went back to high school in my mind, body and spirit dancing the night away, while sailing in an almost magical way, wine tasting and eating the most delicious food! Our captain was this cute and funny guy from Ecuador, who had a great sense of humor. He would wake us up by talking about how excited he was to see all the bands live, especially his favorite, America! I must say, they were incredible. It was just so cool to actually see and hang out with all the bands of the music we all grew up with. The boat was filled with love and romance under a full moon dancing to the smooth sounds of, Ambrosia! I mean, who doesn’t want to slow dance to, “That’s How Much I feel” under a full moon? As most of you know, Player has already been touring with Ambrosia, Little River Band, Stephan Bishop, Orleans, Firefall and Christopher Cross, so this was an epic cruise!
Player of course was super exciting to watch and the music was nothing less than outstanding! I was so proud of all of them! Rob Math on guitar had girls screaming and swooning, especially when they played the song, “Religion.” What was ultra cool was that the fans brought their Player albums for them to sign and was able to buy their latest CD, “Too Many Reasons” onboard for them to sign. Fans came from as far as Norway and Spain to see them and the energy all around us was awesome! The people onboard had a real appreciation for that decade of amazing music and musicians. I watched bands all night and never got tired of watching and listening to their amazing harmonies and range of vocals. I watched “Firefall” and was simply entranced by the musicians gracing that stage bringing to life the music I grew up on and transporting me back in time.
You must go on a cruise like that with all your friends and have an unforgettable memory for the rest of your life! I can’t praise the quality of the ship, fans, music, food, wine and energy of this cruise and highly recommend it. In fact, they are booking next year’s artist already which includes, Michael MacDonald, Styx, Poco and Badfinger. I predict this will be ongoing and will only get better each and every year. Coming back on our flight was not so pleasant when our plane started rockin and rolling it’s way home with strong turbulence. This was a seriously scary bout of turbulence I had never experienced before, but thankfully we are now home safe and recouping from a super fun weekend!
Ronn is now preparing for another Ronn Moss and Friends concert with the lovely, Christine Love at the Vibrato Jazz club on March 29! We have the Daytime Emmy nominations to look forward to next week! I’m pretty sure “The Bay” will be nominated for a few Emmys from this past season. Player has some upcoming local Los Angeles gigs that we will be putting on the new Player website which will feature interactive conversation with all our classic rock friends like, Little River Band, Ambrosia and Firefall. We will have contests, blogs and cool things to share with you about Player on this site which is coming soon! You may now follow Player on Instagram and Twitter and keep up with all the surprises coming for them. They are so exciting to see live because they have such a vibe of sensual love songs and serious rockers like, “Silver Lining.” Peter Beckett hasn’t lost his ability to deliver in vocals and guitar solos. So if you have the chance to see them live, I highly recommend it!
Ronn and I just returned from San Francisco where we attended the Periscope Summit compliments of our social media mentor, Alex Khan. It was a nice excursion for us to drive up and spend some quality time with Ronn’s “Bruna In Beverly Hills,” co-star Kim Kopf, who helped make our stay so memorable. As most of you know by now, Periscope was named Apple’s app of the year and is the fastest growing social media platform ever! It is where we hang out the most and engage with you guys daily because it just too much fun!
I personally love the Periscope community because of the positive engagement, friendships and educational value received daily from people all over the world. Our world is now in the palm of our hands and now it’s possible to interact and share your story, give value to others and help make our world a more beautiful place. I see tremendous growth from Periscope and am thrilled to be a part of this community! It was wonderful to see so many Periscopers from all over the world in person at Summit Live!
Ronn and I met the founder of Summit Live Ryan Bell, who came with his wife and kids from Georgia. It was also a pleasure to meet the guy who I learned most of what I know about Periscope from, Alex Khan. I found Alex to be a very tall, 6’5″ and handsome guy that is quickly becoming a Periscope superstar! His scopes not only teach you the latest tips and tricks on Periscope, but his positive demeanor and knowledge of business and social media make him one of the best go-to guys on Periscope.
Another Periscope favorite, Dana Garrison is simply adorable with her kitty ears and her wonderful personality that I had to invite her to join woman to woman and will be interviewing her soon! Chocolate Johnny came all the way from down under, but ironically didn’t know who Ronn and I were?? Our friends from Vinium Wines sponsored the opening night with their amazing wine and the talented Mr. Salas that is Frank Salas, from Austin is also someone I was looking forward to meeting and collaborating with. There is even a documentary on how Periscope is changing lives that the summit released a trailer on here.
Kim treated me to a Sumba class at the Bay club which is located right across the street from Netflix who just so happens to be looking at “Bruna In Beverly Hills” next week! We went out to a lovely dinner last night in Los Gatos and unfortunately Kim fell ill with the flu and Ronn has been fighting allergies all weekend, so we decided to cut the summit panels short and get back home. Looking forward to seeing you all this week on Periscope!
The past two weeks provided Ronn and I with an appreciated break from the undying heat in southern California. We enjoyed experiencing a real fall that enabled us to wear a jacket instead of wanting to peel off every stitch of clothing for a change. It was lovely to see all the leaves turning shades of red, orange and yellow throughout the beautiful countryside of Belgium. And Ronn’s performance with DeRomeos was a big hit with fans. We were treated to some amazing cuisine, fine beer and of course Belgian chocolate!
After the concert, we met up with our loyal DevRonn Fanclub members and finally put faces to the names of some wonderful fans we invited to join us backstage. We had so much fun thanks to our new fanclub president, Angelique DeVries! Business meetings on future projects followed, and then we headed to Amsterdam to visit some friends and got “Lost In Amsterdam” with Anthony Geary who now lives there. Since he has retired the role of Luke Spencer from General Hospital, it was time to have some fun! Tony showed us around the university and opera house of Amsterdam as we made our way to Rembrandt’s Square.
He then took us to the coolest place called, “Lost In Amsterdam” where we could take our shoes off and have a drink or smoke a bud, while watching people walk or ride their bikes along the pristine cobbled stone streets. It was easy to spend hours losing track of time in this place. I had done a great deal of walking around the city with Ronn while he took photos of the beautiful canals and bridges. It was easy to see why so many artists have been greatly inspired by this unique city. The architecture alone is amazing! Even though I had been to Amsterdam twice before this trip, I had not really seen its beauty and left with a new appreciation for all it has to offer after this adventure.
It was the first time Ronn had the ability to enjoy exploring a place he had been to before, but never really got to see due to his hectic schedule on B&B. I found the food, culture and people to be excellent. Although we were only there for a few days, its apparent that it’s one of the happiest places on earth. Tony said, “The Dutch doesn’t care what you do, as long as you are polite about it.” Maybe that’s why so many people are attracted to Amsterdam? We took many of you with us thanks to Periscope and the feedback that I heard was very cool. Thanks to technology, we were able to share a bit of our experience with you guys and also met up with more fanclub members! We even made a few new friends along the way and took home memories that will last a lifetime!
I think we will return again and again to get “Lost In Amsterdam,” as we get inspired by its timeless beauty and unique vibe.
It’s been six years since Ronn and I have been to the Netherlands and I have never been to Belgium, so this will be a trip I’m looking forward to. It was always difficult to take in the gorgeous cities Ronn and I would travel to in the past due to his demanding schedule on B&B. But now we are free to take our time and enjoy each and every city we visit. As most of you know, Ronn will be performing in concert with DeRomeos on October 24th. There will be an exclusive meet and greet for our DevRonn Fanclub members and you will be informed on more details soon.
We have various meetings of interest on projects that are forming and DevRonn related interest in Ronn’s BBQ sauce and my spice, along with business dinners and lunches. However, we will have time to take in the sights and beauty of the fall weather and we are so looking forward to that! The heat has been unbearable and we both are really tired of the constant summer that we have had to endure in Southern California recently. Our city desperately needs rain right now, so we hope that change comes soon for us.
This past week has been rather busy due to a shoot for the cast of “The Bay” in Malibu at the new home of my best friend Caroline Cusumano, which made it an ultra fun shoot. Look for “The Bay” to release their new shows real soon and be prepared to be in awe! These will be the most intriguing season jam packed with suspense, excitement, drama and sex appeal. I see nothing but praise for our amazing cast and crew!
I plan to scope the highlights of our trip on Periscope so you can feel like you are there with us. So please follow both Ronn and I on Persicope so you don’t miss out on all the fun! We look forward to sharing our adventure in an up close and personal way. We plan on keeping our fanclub members meet and greet small and intimate so we can spend some quality time with you guys that’s why being a member has it’s privileges! There is also a meet and greet opportunity available for those of you attending the concert to meet Ronn! There have been revisions done on Ronn’s website and more surprises coming!
It’s been hard for me to put the past week into words because our whole trip to New York and The Hamptons was quite an adventure. When I booked this adorable little bed and breakfast in Southold, because we were attending a wedding in the Hamptons; I had no idea how far I was from East Hampton where the actual wedding took place. On top of the fact that mid July is the busiest time of the year to even go to the Hamptons! So it took a bus ride called, “The Jitney” and two ferry rides to get to the other side of Long Island, once I landed at our bed and breakfast called, “A Walk In The Woods.” Trust me they didn’t name it that for nothing, because it’s nestled right in the woods with nothing around it for miles! There isn’t even a sign to find it and our taxi driver got lost in the woods trying to find us! So it’s really a miracle that we made the wedding fifteen minutes before it started considering what we went through to get there.
You see it all started with a walk back in time for me when I got to see Ambrosia, Player, Robbie Dupree and Stephen Bishop onstage together for the first time in Jersey, Staten Island and New York City. The venues they played at were simply gorgeous and the audience couldn’t get enough of the music. That sound takes you back in time and they are all just simply amazing! So the shows were so much fun and it was obvious that the fans felt just like I did. The boys got mobbed after each show for autographs and photos and I predict they will be doing a lot more shows! So if you haven’t caught one yet, you are really missing out! After three concerts, Ronn and I had to catch our Jitney to make the wedding and couldn’t find the pickup spot and ended up missing the bus we were scheduled and prepaid to be on! On top of the constant phone calls to Jitney, it started pouring down rain! I was concerned that we would even make this wedding, however kept the faith and was determined to get there!
When we were finally picked up and dropped off in the little village of Southold, it felt like we had walked back in time. Everything looked so quaint and had that small town feeling everywhere. Even the Chase bank was small and cute. We then had to get a taxi to take us to our bed and breakfast place, “A Walk In The Woods” and he had a bit of trouble finding it. However, once we got there, we were greeted by the owner, Flo, who we thought looked just like Jeannie Cooper! I was already tired and hungry from the Jitney jaunt, but figured we had three hours before the wedding to get ready and get there. Flo informed us that we would have to take two ferries and with the amount of traffic around there, we could be hard pressed in making that wedding. Hey, I’m use to traffic in LA and this place seemed like a picturesque postcard that you saw 30 years ago of a small town, how much traffic could there possibly be? Ronn and I decided to take a little nap in our adorably decorated room.
I was quickly informed that a car would have to pick us up two hours before the wedding to get us through the ferries to get there on time. So there was no time to nap, we had to get showered and dressed and get going! The process felt like we were characters of a romance novel trying to get to our destination as we were scooped up in a car and the car drove onto the ferry parked with other cars as we sailed across this body of water. It was something both Ronn and I had never done before and it was a gorgeous day, so we were enjoying it. Ronn got out of the car and took photos of course. Flo was right, it took every bit of time we had to make it through the quaint little villages that led up to East Hampton and to the Maidstone Inn where the wedding took place.
Needless to say, we both downed a couple of glasses of champagne immediately upon arrival to toast the fact that we made it on time! When the bride and groom learned about our adventure to get there, we were offered a room that became available nearby so that we could join them the next day for their wedding brunch. So at the end of the night when we tried to get a taxi to take us 3 miles down the road, we quickly learned that would be impossible because of all the people that were in the Hamptons. So Ronn thought we should just get some exercise and walk it since it was a beautiful night. It was a good thing I had on flat shoes, but walking 3 miles was not easy at midnight after a few glasses of champagne! This adventure just didn’t stop! The next day after the brunch, we headed back to “A Walk In The Woods” to enjoy our last evening and relax. We even saw a deer walking around who stopped and took a good look at us!
After our Hampton experience it was time to head to New York and see some sites, such as, “The Freedom Tower.” Again it was a lot of walking around, but totally worth it. We ended up in “Little Italy” for a great Italian dinner at a wonderful place called, “Puglia.” Ronn and I enjoyed walking around 5th avenue and Bryant Park where several fans from Italy recognized him and asked for photos. Our adventure continued as we made our way to Times Square. I said goodbye to Ronn as he continued on to Ohio for his next concert and I spent the day alone drinking in Park Avenue and made my way to Gramercy Park to visit my fashion designer girlfriend, “Lantie” before heading off to the airport to return home. It truly felt like I had walked back in time and returning home felt so great. Reflecting back on the past week has become a memory I won’t soon forget. It’s great to have these kinds of experiences, but there is no place like home!
We are gearing up to start shooting “The Bay” and there is quite a bit of excitement in the air for this new season of shows. After a relaxing Memorial Day weekend at home, Ronn and I will be working long hours this weekend with our Bay family.
It’s hard to believe that almost half of 2015 has just flown by already and summer is just around the corner! This means Player will be touring around the USA with Little River Band and Ambrosia soon. Ironically, Baby Come Back was the song of choice that four friends were singing on their way from Miami to Los Angeles, when their tire blew out on the freeway! Thankfully they were all fine, but the video went viral with almost 5 million views thus far! This has caused many fans to request Player to appear on talk shows!
Ronn and I are really excited to go to NYC together in July when Player is on tour because after eleven years, we have never been to NYC together! So this will be super fun for us! Ronn has also been in the mood to do his photography and I’ve done a little modeling for him recently, we are now trying to find some more time to shoot more photos together soon!
Ronn’s Kickass BBQ Sauce is starting to get quite a buzz and those of you who have tried it, know why. We will be informing our Fanclub members of some exciting news soon! When you signup for our Fanclub, you will get a FREE Cajun Spice and sample size BBQ sauce, along with a FREE Ebook of autographed photos and 10% off all DevRonn products that you buy from our store! Plus you get to know first where and when we will appear next, so if you aren’t a member, what are you waiting for?
We are looking forward to rocking out this summer with Player and friends and enjoying more BBQs with Ronn’s Kickass BBQ Sauce, not to mention, some amazing surprises just for our Fanclub members!
In this past week, we have experienced some major milestones in our lives. Creason turned 21, which is just mind boggling to me. Seems like only yesterday she was ten and only interested in horses. So it was only fitting that Ronn and I drive up north and visit her in college to celebrate her!
Since her birthday fell on a weekday and she didn’t have much time to spend with us given her busy schedule in school, we took this rare opportunity to continue on to San Francisco. I hadn’t been there in over 15 years and had never been there with Ronn. It was wonderful to see this beautiful grand and unique city again. We stayed at the Hotel Nikko and had a wonderful dinner at Le Colonial, which featured a unique combo of French/Asian dishes such as, braised BBQ short ribs, which were to die for. Le Colonial also has a live band that plays swing music, so many people go there to dance. I highly recommend checking this place out if you visit San Francisco.
We stopped off in Sausalito for an afternoon cappuccino and enjoyed simply gorgeous weather walking around the cute little shops. And then we headed back home only to see Calee driving up in her new vintage VW Jetta, which she loves. Now this milestone really made me feel old, because I still have visions of Calee singing in her car seat at age five! I believe Calee is a wise old soul, which may explain why she loves everything vintage and classic rock more than any other 16 year old I know.
Now this week we will celebrate Ronn’s birthday, as we embark on an exciting new adventure later this year. The universe is working it’s magic in mysterious ways and I’m in awe and in gratitude for all it’s blessings. It’s so nice to see my husband so happy! Age is simply a number to us and we are embracing all these milestones with eagerness to see what’s coming around the corner. As we prepare for these changes, it’s clear to see that we are starting an exciting new chapter in our lives that we can’t wait to share it all with you guys!
Some of these changes will involve travel and all I can say is we may visiting a city near you very soon!
Australia has had an ongoing love affair with Ronn for decades now. It was seen firsthand during his last two solo tours, but magnified greatly during this last month as Ronn and Player toured around OZ. I saw the constantly quest for photos everywhere we went and from young and old, men and women, seems everyone was thrilled to see Ronn and show their love.
That’s what’s so amazing about Australia, the land and people are truly beautiful and it shows in spades. They are polite with a light and happy attitude that says, “No worries mate, everything is alright.” So as we spent our last week enjoying this love affair, we knew we would have to come back to the reality of the fact that it was just a visit. However, the memories will last a lifetime and what memories they have been! Our Aussie love affair is indeed just beginning with new friends that we have made and new adventures we will be having together.
Player has now made a new stamp on the Aussie’s hearts and it was shown in their smiling faces, as they lined up each and every night to greet Ronn and the band for photos. The Aussies have a stamp on our hearts as well. We all enjoyed their hospitality and warmth everywhere we went.
We were all spoiled to great seafood like prawns and oysters and fish and chips. Aussies also take their coffee seriously and their cappuccinos were amazing! There are even institutions dedicated to Baristas and coffee. However, these cappuccinos were strong and would have you hopping around like a Kangaroo if you had too many. I could only have one a day. The tour took us through some northern cities like Coffs Harbour and Twin Towns where we saw the most beautiful beaches, however we didn’t have much time to spend on them due to the hectic schedule of the band.
Ronn usually had press days on the days off, but Peter and Eden got to go further north and enjoy parts of Queensland. We did all make it to the Featherdale Park to see the animals together. And Ronn and I had a beautiful private tour of the Sydney Harbour compliments of designer, Cristina Nipoti and Vesna Perry.
Ronn and I had a hair makeover by fame hairstylist, Alan Buki and I was given an awesome flat iron for my hair by EVY personalized with my name on it. Our tour promoters Roy and Enza Ortuso treated us to some fabulous dinners and did everything to make us all feel at home. Player had the most fabulous crew taking care of them backstage with our tour manager Stu Marks, sound engineer Andrew Troy and Sam the man who made sure the guys were always in tune.
But it was the devotion from the fans that was indeed beautiful to see at each and every performance. They expressed how much they missed Ronn as Ridge Forrester and let him know how much he meant to them. I saw mothers and daughters, grandmothers and husband and wives tell Ronn how much they loved watching him each and everyday for years.
I think it’s safe to say we will be returning to the land of OZ and I for one hope it’s soon!
As we come into the home stretch of the Aussie Player tour this week, it’s safe to say they have hit a home run with every performance and the fans can’t seem to get enough of them. There have been such a diversity with the audiences that attended the past shows. Women are coming with their moms, grandmothers and husbands to the shows and seem to really enjoy every moment of not only Player, but Ronn’s playful interaction with them before he brings Player on stage. There has been a lot of laughter, dancing and photos after the shows. Long lines have formed for the purchase of merchandise and photos with Ronn and the band.
Last night the stage was filled with women from age 20-80 dancing to their encore and it’s amazing to watch how much fun everyone is having on this tour. We have had a hectic week of traveling between Coffs Harbour, Twin Towns and Campbelltown and back to Sydney for much needed rest. Peter was starting to lose his voice the past few days and poor Jimmy had a stomach bug from something he ate, but they pulled off amazing concerts nevertheless. With only three more shows left in this tour, we head to MacKay and Hornsby later this week and then it will be time to say goodbye to one of our most memorable trips.
We have all made some new amazing friends and the tour crew couldn’t have been more wonderful. It has truly been an experience of a lifetime to explore this beautiful country and the people here. So now that OZ has gotten to know Ronn a bit better and has been introduced to Player, it’s probably in the cards that we will someday return to OZ to rock out once again. I know next week is Thanksgiving for our friends back home and want to wish them a happy Turkey day. Speaking of turkey, we saw a few live ones walking around our hotel. We also saw these creatures called, “water dragons” that hang out like pets everywhere. The boys freaked out over a huge snake crossing the road on our way back from Twin Towns and we learned even though it was huge, it wasn’t dangerous. It seems OZ has a lot of creatures that we just don’t have in America and alot of things that could be deadly. They also have creatures that look deadly, but aren’t. So I guess you just can’t judge a book by it’s cover around these Aussies.
There are pristine gorgeous beaches in northern Australia, but we had no time to spend on them due to soundchecks and three shows in a row. I did manage to visit one in Coffs Harbour briefly for a photo. Today Ronn and I actually saw the pool in our hotel for the first time in three weeks and did absolutely nothing. It was a good day to just rest and chill out after so much traveling the past few days. We were happy to see Player Angel, Eden join us last night and she was able to help me get the fans dancing onstage at the end of the night. I made our sound engineer Andrew an honorary Player Angel because he’s been the one I’ve hung out with the most during the tour and I now call him, “Girlfriend.” I do anticipate a growing number of Player Angels will be forming now and will have those Player T-shirts available on Ronn’s website soon!
It’s hard to believe we are half way through the tour and our Aussie Adventure has been so amazing. The fans have been responding so positively at all of the shows and standing in line for hours for photos and autographs. They also seem to love the questions and answers from Ronn and the behind the scenes clips. There hasn’t been much down time the past couple weeks for Ronn with all the press, but now we have a couple of days to relax and regroup here in Sydney. So tonight we are going to see the group YES in concert and later this week we will have a private tour of the zoo.
The band has become tighter as a whole and the venues and stages have been so nice. I shot a lot of great video footage and wanted to share some highlights with you here. The boys are having a blast, having been eating quite well and obviously enjoying their Aussie adventure. It’s been weird for me being the only female hanging out with them and some of the things I hear coming out of their mouths having been so comical. I can’t wait for Eden to get here so I have another Player Angel to hang out at the shows with. Since the shows have been nearly filled to capacity, I have been sitting in the sound booth with our engineer Andrew, who I call my girlfriend. I’m so use to being up close front and center, but these Aussie women are so enthusiastic about the shows, that it hasn’t been possible for me to get that privilege so far. I don’t mind and have been having a blast watching the love shown to them. It’s been a dream for me to show you guys firsthand what I see all the time in our garage during rehearsals. Our Aussie adventure will continue and I will try and keep you up to date with more photos and videos along the way.
It’s strange being on the other side of the world where it’s summer in November and we are seeing Christmas decorations out, but it feels like July heat to us. And we are missing another Thanksgiving back home this year. All in all we are in major gratitude for all the love and affection you guys are showing us online and in person everywhere we go and sending you the love right back!
Our trip down under has been nothing short of an exciting adventure. Player has been on fire at every concert so far and the fans are showing the love for Ronn and the band after every show. Player and Ronn Moss T-shirts and CDs are selling like crazy and there have been some female fans that have displayed their affection for Ronn with a tattoo of his face on their thigh! And this fan was only 26 years old, which has been surprising. Seems we have been seeing younger fans gracing the shows that have been watching Ronn on B&B most of their lives! We even had a female fan who came all the way from Malaysia for the Melbourne show and told us that Player has many fans there as well.
Our tour manager Stu has been taking really great care of us backstage as you can see on the Livestream I surprised you guys with last week. We have been treated to great food and company by our promoter Enza and Roy Ortuso and each and every Aussie we have met has been so warm and friendly. Ronn’s cousin Joan and her husband David made it to the Melbourne show and it was terrific to see her. I have a few friends of my own that will catch a show while we are here that I haven’t seen in a while also. Ronn’s very own BBQ Sauce is now available for orders on our DevRonn website and it comes in a mild and medium spicy gluten free flavor that you will just love!!
We had a blast at the Melbourne Cup and now everyone is talking about Ronn’s man bun as they like to call it when he was a guest on Rove’s show, “The Project” yesterday. Magazines “TV Weekly” and “New Idea” have talked about Ronn’s visit and Player appeared on the popular “Morning Show” with their live acoustic version of “Baby Come Back.” It seems the press can’t get enough of them and it has been a bit hectic this past week with the concerts and all the press, so these past couple of days has been nice and relaxing for all of us and much needed.
It’s so nice to really see the beautiful country of OZ up close and personal. We even got to see some Kangaroos in the wild on our drive into Canberra. Next week we will all visit the zoo together and get to see more. Since we have been here it’s been expressed countless times that the fans are not taking to the Nu-Ridge very well and Ronn is and always will be their one and only Ridgerido and that’s never going to change for them. We love the land of OZ and we are looking forward to the rest of the tour and want to visit more often!
This past week was a hectic one as we scrambled to prepare to head down under for a month. It was crazy busy for us because Ronn was shooting late days on “The Bay” as John Blackwell up until the day before we left home. So we didn’t get much sleep and there was so much to do before we left. I was busy putting the finishing touches to our newly revised DevRonn website in preparation for the launch of Ronn’s Kickass BBQ Sauce. There is still a bit more things I need to finalize before we can start taking orders and I will let you know when that is soon!
So as we continued to prepare to hang down under for the next month, I started to get excited about how much of an adventure our Australian stay would be for all of us. There are a lot of first time things that we are all doing down under. It will be Player’s first tour and it seems fans are super excited for them to hang down under with them! Ronn and I saw our first soccer game tonight as Sydney won against Mariner. It has been such lovely weather and I could see the excitement building as the friendly Aussies welcomed us with open arms.
Tomorrow we head down to Melbourne for the elite Melbourne Cup as guests of Emirates Airlines. And then we will meet the band back in Sydney to kick off the tour. The Aussies have been super sweet and they seem to have missed Ronn greatly. The concert is selling out and Ronn has been doing tons of press on a daily basis. New Idea magazine came out last week and this week Player will go on “The Morning Show” to sing “Baby Come Back” live. It’s so beautiful to see the reaction to fans here in OZ, they are just so genuine and down to earth. I have met so many amazing women and men who have a real admiration for Ronn and who seem super excited to see the concert!
Baby Come Back is now running in a Toyota commercial and has been for the past three years, so it made sense to kick off this tour down under. There is also a horse named after Ronn running in the Melbourne Cup and as guests of the Emirates Airlines we are proud to be here and looking forward to a great day! So far hanging down under has been nothing but fun and we are having a blast! I know the tour will be a slam dunk kickass fun time for everyone and can’t wait to share lots of pics and videos with you guys! Who knows I may just surprise you with a livestream soon! In the meantime, stay tuned for the launch of Ronn’s Kickass BBQ Sauce and more amazing surprises!!
So I’m finally feeling the sense of cool change in the weather and thought we needed to do some cool changes to our websites. It has been a while since Ronn’s site has had a makeover and was a way overdue. I felt like most of our websites needed a bit of something and wanted to make sure you are all with us in spirit if not in person on the OZ tour!
I can’t believe we leave just before Halloween so we will miss all the awesome parties around here, but we will be going to the prestigious Melbourne Cup! Apparently, there is a horse named after Ronn and it’s quite like our Kentucky Derby, so I must now decide on a hat to wear. There is a cool change coming to “The Bay” and we know how much you all are in love with the one and only John Blackwell. As producers on the already hit web series, I can tell you that these will be amazing chapters and there will also be a new music video of Ronn’s single, “Addiction” and all will be out before Christmas!
Ronn has a cool change coming with his very own “Ronn’s Kickass BBQ Sauce!” And when we say “Kickass” we mean it! This sauce is great with our “Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning” and we are already addicted to it in our household. It’s also made in Louisiana and has a sweet and spicy flavor that is also Gluten-Free! I hope you guys are enjoying the newest interview on Woman to Woman featuring Shauna O’Brien and her gorgeous organic garden. She and Kelly Emberg have inspired me so much in that area, so we are looking forward to more from our own organic garden. Since our health is indeed the most important thing, I do hope you all stay safe from the flu and that scary Ebola, but please do not live in fear over it!
Ronn and I drink warm lemon water each day as a cleanse and natural boost to our immune system. We highly recommend it, especially now. I want to be strong and healthy to get through the OZ tour and I’m hoping to see many of you down under. So get your tickets now! Player is performing at the “Last Chance For Animals” fundraiser Oct 25 and Shelter Hope Pet Shop just released its 2015 calendar featuring me. Both these animal rescue charities are wonderful ways to help our little furry friends find homes, medical care and love. So if you want to help please purchase a calendar or make a tax-deductible donation. I’m hoping cool changes are also coming your way and we hope to bring Player to a city near you soon!
It’s been a hectic time for both Ronn and I as we are dealing with many business related things before leaving for Player’s Australian tour. Ronn has been in the throws of editing a new Ronn’s Garage and putting together a visual presentation for his solo part of the OZ tour which has gotten a tremendously positive response. It’s apparent OZ loves Ronn and he loves those Aussies! So this should be a super fun tour and the first time Player will perform overseas, so the boys are really excited!
Player’s new drummer, Jimmy Carnelli is an expert diver and is looking forward to diving the Great Barrier Reef and I’m looking forward to meeting so many of you! Of course I will be blogging and doing Livestreams to keep everyone feeling like you are right there with us! Right now I’m just grateful for life’s little blessings that have been bestowed on us recently. In spite of the setbacks that I’m sure all of you can relate to in one way or another, sometimes setbacks are indeed life’s little blessings and a way to help us stay in gratitude.
Since our world’s economy has been in the toilet for quite some time, financial times have been trying and economic setbacks make living in our society a strain for many. One has to constantly evaluate their situation and prepare for the worst, yet hope for the best. It’s all we can do and my heart goes out to all who are in economic hard times right now. I think we can all relate to the suffering that is going on in our world and how it has a trickling effect on the masses. I have a section in my book, “True Age, Timeless Beauty” on finances and how to overcome the stress to keep things in balance.
Trust me, I can relate and know what I’m talking about because I’ve been there many times in my life and it’s during these hard times that life’s little blessings appear through these hurdles in ways you may not recognize at first glance. I’m saying this because I feel the pain of our world suffering when I read tweets and postings of others who are going through hard times.
Life’s little blessings can sometimes disguise itself as an obstacle and the timing could be leading you along a path that is to your benefit. Right now Ronn and I are dealing with such obstacles in many areas of life and they are turning into pure blessings. So I have learned to welcome the obstacles and merely deal with them with positiveness.
So in preparation for this Australian adventure we are about to embark on, we are also getting ready to do an exclusive photo shoot together for the magazine New Idea this week. We are also celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary! Geez it’s hard to believe 5 years have gone by this fast! And Ronn is doing a table reading with the cast of “The Bay” this week for their upcoming shoot! I have finally posted a Livestream chat for Tuesday and I’m working on some new surprises! Can’t tell you everything right now, but life’s little blessings are upon us in spite of all the obstacles.
This past week has been filled with important, but mundane paperwork that has been needed for various things before we get ready for the Player Australian tour in November.
It’s all been part of clearing the past to make our future a bit brighter and for our focus to be consistently more creative. I’ve found it hard to concentrate on creativity when dealing with paperwork involving business.
Nevertheless, we must sometimes focus on the mundane things in life if we are to keep things in balance. I try to do this in every area of our lives as much as possible. Thus, the inspiration for my book, “True Age, Timeless Beauty.”
When we clear the past of all things that aren’t needed or wanted, we make room for new things and tell the universe we are ready for a brighter future.
Ronn was swamped with press interviews from Australia, including an exclusive for the magazine, “New Idea.” He’s also very busy putting his musical set together for the solo portion of his upcoming Aussie tour. We also entertained friends from Belgium and Italy about possible projects relating to music and television.
In addition to that he is preparing to shoot new episodes of “The Bay” in October, as well as, preparing for other film and TV projects that are in development for next year.
It seems like this year has flown by so fast and we have been working so hard at making all the projects happen, but there is only so much time in a year. We did take some time out for fun with artist Michael Moebius, photographer Terry O’Neill and our introduction to the one and only Raquel Welch on her birthday.
Ronn also enjoyed presenting a best actor award to Daniel Baldwin at the Burbank International Film Festival last weekend. So we are finally enjoying some creative time at home this weekend.
I try and pay attention to things that are required in clearing the past even though some may be mundane because I know it’s the universe’s way of saying better things are coming as a result.
I want to congratulate Julie Wooldridge on winning an autographed copy of “True Age, Timeless Beauty” for subscribing to my Woman to Woman website and thank you all who continue to support my writings. I’m so happy the book has been a inspiration and have already begun a follow up to it that I believe with help change lives.
There is still a can of Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning to give away for subscribing to this blog so that you never miss another post!
I’m working on a FREE ebook of Gluten-Free recipes to give away soon! And we want an Aussie to get the chance to win dinner with Ronn and be featured on Ronn’s Garage! Details coming soon!
It seems clearing the past has already been bringing new and interesting things into our lives and Ronn has been asked to host a show called “Hot Package” for the cartoon network. We have also been asked to guest star on a new celebrity cooking show that will film this October, so I will keep you posted on that! In the meantime, we will post a new livechat this week, so stay tuned!
Where has the time gone? This year is just flying by and it’s already summer! As usual our summers are busy with entertaining friends, attending parties, charity events and kids. But it looks like we will be working this summer as well. As you know we finished an ABC prime time show that we can’t discuss right now but it will air this summer most likely in July. I will of course keep you posted on the dates and more details once I’m given the word. But I know you will absolutely love it!
Ronn and I both were so busy this past week we had no time to hardly tweet and we worked Memorial day. So the past couple days have been spent trying to catch up on business as usual and sleep. I’m currently working on a charity fundraiser for Autism that will be held at our home in June and Ronn will start rehearsals for Player’s upcoming Australian/New Zealand tour later this year. I know you have been asking when tickets will go on sale and they will soon! Seems more dates keep getting added and the promoter want to release the entire schedule before you can purchase tickets.
Player is also joining The Yacht Rock Revue boys in Atlanta on July 19th for their festival and then we will take off to Naples, Italy where Ronn will play a Baron in a mini series that takes place in World War 1. I think you guys know how much Ronn loves his scarves so perhaps he will get to wear some in this mini series, since it’s a period piece.
I will continue to do more speaking engagements and work on the follow up book to “True Age, Timeless Beauty.” And we have an exciting contest to announce later this summer in connection with “The Bay” series. Ronn will also continue playing John Blackwell in “The Bay” and we are now on board as producers of that series. I’m hoping to extend our time in Italy to include a much needed vacation if possible. Seems Ronn is getting bombarded with so many projects it’s getting hard to fit in a vacation. I will of course blog and keep you posted on all of it as it’s happening!
I can’t believe spring is here already, seems this year is flying by so fast! I love spring, seeing all the flowers bloom and preparing for the warmth that summer will bring. It makes me want to entertain and so we are having our first party of spring this Sunday to kick off the new season of “Game of Thrones.” Peter Beckett got us hooked on that series and I promised I’d kick it off with a nice shindig of a party.
So I’m cooking some Cajun grub and having a few friends over who are also die hard “Game of Throne” fanatics to drink some ale and see who gets the ax in the first episode. We are also springing forward with so many new and exciting projects. Seems many countries are missing seeing Ronn on their TV sets since he’s no longer Ridge Forrester and we are formulating new and interesting things on a daily basis with many different countries.
Player is excited to do a tour in Australia this November and 13 shows are now locked down with more being added that could take us into New Zealand for December. There will also be new Player merchandise available especially for this “Too Many Reasons” tour and I couldn’t be more excited, so Player Angels get ready to rock! I visited Melbourne back in 2005 when Ronn did the berry juice commercial, so this will be a such a treat for me to explore OZ and really spend some quality time there. The new “Man On Fire” music video with previews from the upcoming 411movie will be released soon so you can get more excited about the upcoming tour!
There is also a movie in the works with Italy’s best comedy writers who is tailoring a script especially for Ronn. I can’t tell you details on that yet, but it’s going to be quite comical and I will also be in it. We have a TV show in the works for Finland and South Africa and there is a possibility of a campaign in the Netherlands. However it’s all being formulated so I can’t give you dates of when we will be in those places just yet.
Player is also making an appearance on a popular TV show next week and I can’t tell you what show just yet, but I know you will be excited and will give you details as soon as I’m allowed. They are also looking forward to singing, “Tracks of My Tears” to honor the one and only Smokey Robinson at the House of Blues April 26. This will be a killer show that will include, Taylor Dane and Chaka Khan among others that will make this an exciting televised event to benefit the “Thalians.“
Ronn is joining the cast of the Emmy nominated webseries, “The Bay” next week when they introduce a new character to the drama. We are also putting the finishing touches on our audio book, “My Husband’s A Dog, My Wife’s A Bitch” and I’m so pleased you are laughing and enjoying the printed version and Ebook. We are planning to release a book of Ronn’s photography in the future and I’ve been encouraging him to continue writing his autobiography. Ronn has led an amazing life growing up in Hollywood and has some incredible stories to tell from his life so this is a must. But as you know, he’s rather slow and moves at his own pace, so that won’t be for a while. In the meantime, as we spring forward into these upcoming exciting projects taking us on a new adventure, that maybe we will be visiting you real soon!
By now you know that I won the Gumbo battle with Henri Alen and Nicolas Thieulon on their Finnish cooking show, “American Food Battle.” We blindfolded Ronn who was the judge and picked out my Gumbo instantly. I taught these Finnish boys a thing or two they didn’t know about making a roux the non-traditional way that they left America very confused.
It’s funny because Henri Alen owns the best French restaurant in Finland, “Muru” and was so impressed that he now wants to do a cooking show with me and Ronn, where we would cook with celebrities in Los Angeles and Finland. I think it’s just an excuse to figure out all of my secrets in the kitchen and to have Player perform “Man On Fire” which is his theme song in the kitchen there. Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning was my secret weapon and the Finns now want to carry it in some of their restaurants. American Food Battle
America Food Battleis seen in 50 countries, but not in America so I can only give you a clip and some photos, but we are hoping to have our new cooking show seen here in America. Henri Alen is an amazing Chef and I’d be proud to work with him anywhere. Nicolas is French and knows so much about wines that hanging out with him could only spell fun!
I love Finland and cooking is so natural for me that who am I to say no to this proposal? Seems like having my own cooking show is my destiny and I now have South Africa wanting me to guest spot on their top rated cooking show as there is a mini Player tour among other things in the works for South Africa and Australia.
It’s safe to say we won’t be home much and lots of traveling is in our future, so renewing our passports now is a must for us. I have some other exciting things to share with you guys next month that I know you will flip over, but in the meantime, know that we are coming to the following countries, Australia, Finland, South Africa, The Netherlands, Sweden and Italy this year! Oh and talk about the luck of the Irish, happy St. Patty’s Day!
It was only Ronn’s second cruise, my third and the Norwegian Freestyle cruise was terrific with mostly smooth sailing and smooth rock n roll the whole way. We did get some choppy waves the first day and it put a damper, pardon the pun, on our beach concert, which was moved back to the boat. That was a bummer because we all were looking forward to partying all day with Player, Robbie Dupree and the Yacht Rock Revue boys on the Stirrup Cay Island.
Player Angels, Eden, Sue, Robin, Joanie, Michelle and Playmate Jacqueline Sheen were there with their captain’s hats to rock it out and the cruise was filled with fans from all over the world including, Barbados and Croatia. It was funny to see people recognizing Ronn constantly and unsure if it was indeed him. Fans told us constantly how much they missed him and how they have stopped watching the show now. We heard this even from our flight attendant on the way back home.
The Yacht Rock Revue boys threw a cool party to celebrate Ronn’s birthday at the Asian restaurant where the chef’s put on quite a show tossing their knives around on Saturday, and then we all headed over to the Bliss Lounge, where everyone had on headphones and was rocking out to different music, but all you saw were people dancing in silence. We thought the cake was funny cuz it said, “Happy Birthday Ridge” on it.
Player and the Player Angels announced the winner of the Player contest and a big congrats went out to Liz Ryan from Texas who won a beautiful baby blue electric guitar signed by Peter and Ronn, along with a Player necklace, T-shirt, CD and photo. We spent our days drinking Bahama Mamas and rockin out to American Idol winner, Kris Allen, Shadow Box and our boys until the wee hours of the morning everyday.
By the time we reached the Bahamas all Ronn wanted to do was sleep late, so we never got off the boat because he didn’t want to do anything except relax. I did manage to have a mini afternoon at the spa and got in a massage and facial and it was so nice to hang with our friends from Indiana, Doug and Kathleen Gilmore. We enjoyed Cagney’s Steakhouse with great bottles of wine together there.
All in all the cruise experience was perfect because it wasn’t too long and the food was great overall. Kid Rock was the next one up on that cruise ship and Sixthman who puts on these rock cruises are interested in having Player join in on some future European cruising. So it’s safe to say this won’t be our last cruise and much more fun to come for all.
