It’s been going on four months that we have been in Europe preparing an extensive summer music tour. Ronn has never had the time or a proper tour facilitated in Europe before now. Many fans are just learning that he was a musician way before he was Ridge Forrester! So time is what was needed to rehearse and prepare for what we know will be an amazing summer tour in Europe for 2019!
Ronn now has an amazing Italian band, a Belgium band and soon he will form his own version of Player in the states. Right now the Belgium band is called, “The Bad and The Beautiful” due to Italian/Belgium drummer, Fabrizio Muto, who was a former president of the Hell’s Angels, hence the name of the band becoming, “The Bad and The Beautiful.” Concerts are now forming for Spain and Greece with this band for next year in addition to his Italian band’s extensive tour of Italy.
Ronn also has another tour of Australia with Jawn Star scheduled for March 2019 and we are developing a romantic comedy film that Ronn will star in next year! We have been tossing many movie projects around the past few years that Ronn wants to do and hasn’t had the time to develop, due to touring and his focus on music, but now he will indeed start acting on these movie projects, which will also include his music that we will be producing. In addition to movies and music, there is the debut of the fourth season of “The Bay” coming soon to Amazon Prime that includes the shows shot in Belgium that we were co- executive producers on last year! To keep up with Ronn’s touring schedule please track him on Reverbnation or Bandsintown, as well as, his website!
We have been so crazy busy these past few weeks since we arrived back home from Italy due to the release of Ronn’s highly anticipated solo album, “My Baby’s Back.” And we have been finalizing all the dates that will soon be posted for his first European solo tour, as well as, the release of a new music video! Summer seems to always fly by with the blink of an eye and we are so excited about the upcoming tour, but also trying to finalize repairs on our house, which is why I have not been as social recently. There is always a ton of things to do before leaving again. If you have not heard the new album, you can give it a listen on itunes, Amazon, Pandora, Spotify, Deezer or where ever you love to listen to your music. One of my favorite songs is the tribute to the late David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” that Jawn Star does with Ronn and they will be performing this one in concert as well!
Some of the tour dates include, Belgium, Italy, Spain and Estonia with more dates and television appearances coming soon that I will post on his website. We are also thrilled to announce another Australia tour is scheduled for March 2019 and those dates will also be posted online also by the end of August. Mr John Blackwell will shoot season 4 of “The Bay” for Amazon Prime and Ronn included his version of the theme song, “Devil’s Bride” on his new album and will sing that in concert as well. You can also visit Ronn’s music page here to listen to this song and some of the new album. Let us know what you think about the new music and The Bay by dropping us a comment here or on Amazon.
Our first stop in early September will be at the Venice Film Festival gala, which will be a star studded event and as always, a pleasure to see one of our favorite cities in Italy, Venice. For those fans of my movie, “Society,” I am making a personal appearance in Scotland in late September and will post details on that soon. I will try to keep you updated along the way with the concert schedule as dates will all be posted soon online in hopes of seeing many of you in person! We are finalizing things and will soon launch the Ronn Moss merchandise line, including his own fragrance and scarves that will be available at the concerts and online this fall, along with more surprises!
Many of you have been asking questions for months and feeling confused over the changes that have been happening with Ronn’s band Player. So I want to clarify some misconceptions and point out some facts because you as fans deserve to know the truth. As most of you know Player started in 1977 and Ronn is a founding member, they had the number one hit song, “Baby Come Back” and as a result, toured with Eric Clapton, Heart, Boz Scaggs and Kenny Loggins. Then Peter Beckett’s ego clashed with the co-writer of “Baby Come Back” JC Crowley and Peter abandoned the band because he didn’t want to play with JC anymore. He decided to come back after a short time and regrouped with Ronn and original drummer John Friesen and did the album, “Room with a View” when they found another record company. After that album, the band experienced a slow down and didn’t get any tours, so Ronn decided to try his hand at acting, a suggestion their RSO manager, Robert Stigwood gave him. Peter again decided to regroup with just John Friesen during the time Ronn was away acting and this was the only album Ronn did not do called, “Spies of Life.” This album also didn’t do much for Player and the group died shortly afterward in 1982. JC Crowley went on to do country music and battled throat cancer, John Friesen became the owner of a video company, Ronn became Ridge Forrester and Peter was the guitarist in “Little River Band” for 9 years. So Player died and wasn’t thought of anymore.
After a 13 year period of Player being completely dead, Ronn and Peter again regrouped in 1995 and began recording and performing as Player again. They produced “The Best of Player” and “Lost In Reality” album, as well as, two solo albums for Ronn and Ronn toured Australia twice in the early part of 2000. It seemed many people knew the song “Baby Come Back,” but did not know who did that song. Many fans thought Hall and Oates, or Ambrosia did that song, so having Player out there with social media and the Internet gave fans more awareness about them. Since Ronn was so popular on “The Bold and The Beautiful” this brought many fans to become aware of Player, and Ronn did International and national press to give fans first hand knowledge about the band and the song. This was something Player had not had in years. “Baby come Back” had been featured in a Swifter commercial, in the movie, “Transformers” and in a Toyota commercial in Australia. Ronn got royalties on all of these things because the song was his as much his as it was Peter’s. Plus all the national and International press Ronn was getting for the band garnered a lot of fans together to know the group that actually did that song.
I remembered when I first met Ronn in 2004 and I said to him, ‘You mean you did that song and no one knows you did that song?” Player at that time, had no presence online and Ronn complained he had no time to do music due to his schedule on B&B. Peter Beckett was having marital problems and no longer touring with Little River Band. So I decided to put together jam parties as a excuse to have them get together and just have fun playing music. Some of our first jam parties included, Corey Feldman, Patrick Cassidy and Patrick Muldoon. Patti Myers started out as a Peter Beckett fan who did a website for him and then one for Ronn and one for Player. She would find old Player videos and pics and put them on her site. Peter had no interest or time to learn anything about the web and so he allowed Patti to do everything for him. Then when a Ronn Moss fan came along to do a site for him, Patti got jealous and I had to mediate between them to the point that Ronn asked me to do a site for him so that we wouldn’t go through this kind of nonsense. As the web started to change and social media became more and more necessary this proved to be a good thing. Ronn was a verified celebrity with a large fan base and we needed to make sure fans were indeed getting news directly from him and we wanted to make sure they got the facts straight. So we have always been totally hands on regarding you our fans. I think you know this already by now. You know when you to you talk to us you are indeed talking directly to us and not some fan who may twist things around and hurt your brand. In this case, the brand of Player.
Since Peter insisted that he still needed Patti to do his website he asked if we would keep letting her do the Player website and at the time that wasn’t a problem for us. Ronn even allowed her to sell photos of him and Peter on her site and not pay us anything to make her happy and give her a little money, something Peter never seemed to have, so that she would continue doing Peter’s site and social media. I had my own site and Ronn’s site and then we started DevRonn with our spice in 2008, so my plate was indeed full. I love marketing and thought that Player was very talented and could be brought back into the limelight with a bit of savvy work. Peter had gone through a divorce and was working at Guitar Center when he met Rob Math in 2008 who became Player’s guitarist. Ronn brought in the ultra talented Jawn Star and the four of them were now Player. However, let’s be clear, Peter only viewed them as side men who would never actually be Player because he and Ronn were the originals. Ronn did not treat them that way or view them that way. I have promoted Player here on this blog since 2009 in countless posts, as well as, articles in magazines. We thought it was such a talented foursome and their harmonies were what the baby boomers craved that we just didn’t hear live anymore. I knew if I loved it and could listen to it all day long, then you guys would love it also. We rehearsed them in our garage for years for the few gigs that they got during that time and I blogged about them continuously here. Peter lived rent free in one of our houses for about 6 months after his divorce where he wrote songs for their now, “Too Many Reasons” CD and I encouraged Ronn to find themselves a manager. I tried to get them on television by having friends I knew see them perform at home which led to “The Hollywood Christmas Parade” performance in 2010.
A buzz began around this time and they seemed to get a few more gigs in various places. Seems fans were especially curious to see Ronn perform in person. At every show, Ronn would give credit to Peter for writing ‘Baby Come Back” and tell the story of how he, JC and Peter auditioned live for Robert Stigwood to garner their record deal with RSO. They did it live because a tape could be put on the shelf. So Peter Beckett did not get a record deal all by himself, nor did a write “Baby Come Back” all by himself, it was the three of them collaborating which led to that moment and then Ronn brought in his child hood friend and drummer, John Friesen and Player was born.
When Patti Myers started to diminish Ronn on the Player website in favor of Peter, we knew we had some problems that weren’t going to go away. Peter depended on her and had no knowledge of social media, she did his tweets, postings as him and now Peter’s new wife Eden answered his emails. We needed to protect Ronn’s brand online and with social media and so we acquired the Playertheband.com domain. Ronn had it years before and that’s why Patti had Player-theband.com as her domain. I tried to keep up with all the changes online regarding Twitter, Instagram, Periscope etc and it was getting overwhelming, however I could see Player was indeed growing and so was Ronn.
When Ronn left B&B he was free to tour with Peter and Player became a touring band again when their new manager got them a record deal with Frontier’s because they were based in Italy and Ronn is so popular there. And he got them on the “Sail Rock Tour” in 2013 with other notable acts like, Christopher Cross, Orleans and John Ford Coley. It was just Ronn and Peter touring and singing only three songs as it was not cost effective to have a 5 piece band of their tour and they were the original members. Fans seemed thrilled and this led to General Hospital contacting Ronn and asking if Player would sing “Baby Come Back” for their nurses ball show. This also led to us having them seen on our “Celebrity Wife Swap” episode on ABC and putting Player’s name on national television again. I wrote articles in magazines and marketed them on our social media and in press continuously for years. I even had them play a charity event I did at the Canyon Club for animal rescue to give Player another chance to be seen and heard. Then Ronn was asked to tour in Australia again and they only wanted Ronn, but he insisted on bringing Player and the entire band so that they could experience a proper tour in late 2014. This was great for Player and that extensive 14 date tour was the most the entire band ever had. I thought it was odd that Peter was acting so strange during this tour and telling everyone he owned Player suddenly, which I didn’t know what that meant. Since I was live streaming way back then, I happened to get a strong enough signal one night to chat with you guys and Peter went off on me saying I wasn’t allowed to do that? This remark made no sense, since everyone had a cell phone and was doing it at the time. I told him he was ungrateful and was afraid that Ronn would be upset with me when I told him about the blowup with Peter. Turns out nearly everyone had problems with Peter on this tour and we vowed never to try and bring Player overseas again. It seemed Peter was getting pissed and jealous of all the attention Ronn had with fans who lined up every night for photos with him. I thought this was odd given Peter had been overseas and toured with Ronn before, so he knew what to expect. Nevertheless, this tour led to more tour dates in the states with acts like “Little River Band” and “Ambrosia” for the “Rock the Yacht Tour” in 2015 which featured again only Ronn and Peter as Player. They had not been a touring band for a long time and it was not cost effective to have the entire band tour the states like these other bands that had been touring for years. Player needed to work up and build up to that.
I watched the entire band sit on the sidelines after touring Australia as they watched only Ronn and Peter tour as Player for over a year. Then in early 2016, the entire band got a concert in Palm Springs for one show and I knew they were itching to do more. Ronn had expressed the desire to do some acoustic classic rock cover songs and Peter had no interest, nor did he have any interest in doing any charities, but the rest of the band did. I had a few contacts and managed to get them a couple of things locally just to play together as “Ronn Moss and Friends” and then Peter went nuts. He phoned Ronn and had lunch with him telling him he no longer wanted to play with the boys as Player and that there weren’t any gigs for them anyway, only for the two of them. So Peter sent a letter to the band telling them he no longer needed their service for Player. It was an underhanded move because we had just booked a big concert on a cruise for the following year called, “The Rock and Romance Cruise.” It was awesome because it was the first cruise to have nothing but acts from the 70s like “America” “Peter Frampton” and “Ambrosia.” We were excited to have the entire band go on that cruise, but it was a year away.
After only Ronn and Peter performed together as Player in the summer of 2016, we figured the entire band would regroup for the upcoming “Rock and Romance Cruise,” but Peter brought in a local guy, Buster Akrey who he claimed would be better than Jawn Star to rehearse for the upcoming cruise gig because he lived close to us all and Jawn lived two hours away. He said Burleigh Drummond would be playing in “Ambrosia” on the cruise anyway, so he was thrilled to play as Player’s drummer and he brought back Rob Math as guitarist. Ronn was very torn about this because the band with Jawn and Jimmy worked so well in Australia. Now they were going to have to train two new guys with all the music of Player and rehearsed for over a month for the cruise. Peter made it seem like it was only for this one gig because at the time that’s all Player as an entire band had. We got to know Buster and he seemed like a nice guy who just wanted to be in a band. I think Peter made him think that just to use him for his devious plan to push Ronn out of the band. What we didn’t know was how underhanded and manipulative Peter was being this whole time. He wanted to ace out Jawn Star who had been with Player for 10 years because he was brought into the band by Ronn and he wanted to bring back Rob Math because he brought him into the band. He also wanted to start recording new Player music with other notable acts playing on the album, but without Ronn. He told Ronn about what he was doing, but never invited Ronn to play and acted like he was going to, but never did. Back in 2015, Eden approached Ronn and JC Crowley to join Peter on a lawsuit against Universal for back royalties as Player. During this lawsuit, they file a frivolous lawsuit against Keith Urban without our knowledge. It was embarrassing because Keith is actually friends with Ronn. We found out when Peter made a statement that was even more embarrassing saying that Keith was only famous because he was married to Nicole Kidman. JC and Ronn never would have participated in this Universal lawsuit if we knew what we know now. This was a sneaky underhanded move to have us help pay for this lawyer that was going after back royalties for Player.
After the Rock and Romance cruise happened, Player performed at the Conejo Valley Days fair because Buster was in charge of that fair and then the same promoter from the cruise phoned Ronn about Player performing in Huntington Beach last summer, as well as, in Beverly Hills last September. Ronn was already booked for some solo projects in Belgium and told Peter to just do that one as Peter Beckett of Player along with a couple of other gigs that required just the two of them. There has never been many gigs for the entire band and Ronn and Peter only sang about three songs when touring as Player anyway. So it shouldn’t have been a big deal and Peter knew Ronn always had work in various countries in the past, so going away for Ronn wasn’t anything new for Peter. Most of the time in the past, Ronn would find a way to include Peter and bring him along even when he didn’t have to, but he stopped doing this after the Australian tour because there seemed to be jealousy brewing from Peter towards Ronn. Peter was telling the band members that he owned Player and he wrote the songs and it was his band to the point that the boys were asking me it this was true. I found it odd that he was acting that way given he knew how vast Ronn’s fan base was and how loyal they were to Ronn. Also it was Ronn selling the tickets to this tour and he was who they wanted to see and it was Ronn doing all of the press. I also started to feel a weirdness from Eden and heard from fans that Patti was saying demeaning things about Ronn and me. My gut instinct or intuition, which I trust wholeheartedly told me something was not right with them. I express this to Ronn and thought it was odd that I always got along with Peter and now he was constantly bitching and yelling to Ronn that I should have nothing to do with Player business. Suddenly, they seemed to be competing instead of collaborating with us online and I knew that meant Patti feeling powerful because she was speaking for Player and Peter.
Gradually, we would catch Patti diminishing Ronn in the Player site bio and changing facts about Player online to favor Peter. I noticed she did a reverbnation and bandsintown page for Player and Peter but not for Ronn. I started to notice how the fans were bombarding Ronn for autographs and selfies as Eden, who was now tour manager, merchandise girl and Peter’s wife collected money from merchandise with Ronn’s photo on them and yet the accounting was always a bit off because there were merchandise with Ronn’s photos on them that were sold like those guitar pics and yet Ronn didn’t get a dime of it. I started to get angry and I knew something was terribly wrong with this picture. At the time, I was fighting an ear infection and on my way to my aunt’s funeral and Ronn and I were always busy with many other things. So as I noticed this and felt strange I told Ronn my feelings and that we needed to make some changes regarding this.
Then as soon as we arrived in Belgium last summer we started having strange emails from Peter to Ronn regarding this so called sub bass player that was going to be used for only one gig since Ronn was away. Patti was posting flyers with this bass player on it as Player and it was confusing fans. I knew nothing of this and told Ronn he needed to discuss this with Peter because fans were confused. Peter assured him it was for one gig and he wasn’t trying to nudge him out of the band or anything, which looking back is very telling. Then his emails got very angry suddenly blaming me yet again for something I had nothing to do with regarding fans fighting online over that sub bass player. I seemed to be blamed for everything and yet I had hardly had anything to do with Player at that time and we were in Belgium. Ultimatums were given to Ronn if he wanted to stay in the band and he was being treated like a hired musician rather than a partner, which is what he’s been to Peter for years. Ronn kept trying to get Peter to wait until we got home to discuss things face to face and he just seemed like he was looking for any excuse to to blame me and piss off Ronn.
It became obvious something more devious was going on and we noticed Patti was changing things online like the Facebook Player page that was always PlayerBeckettMoss to PeterBeckettPlayer. An online fight between Eden and our fanclub president Angelique occurred when Angelique caught Patti and Eden posting things sayings only Peter was Player and then taking down the posts. Eden threaten her when she posted she didn’t consider this a real Player concert without Ronn and that Ronn’s fans had the right to know he wasn’t there. Eden went on to say that Ronn knew and that and he was a sub bass player for Ronn and that she needed to take down her post or she would sue her. All this crazy drama was being sent to us and Ronn had told Peter this bass player and their postings would confuse fans to begin with and he was not comfortable with them doing this, but Peter said this guy was for only one gig and they couldn’t afford to not take a gig just because Ronn was away, so Ronn had no choice but to allow it.
After this gig, Peter sent the drama post between Angelique and Eden claiming I was behind this! Assuming I must be telling fans what to say online like I have time to do this with Ronn’s vast fan base and they shouldn’t post their thoughts on fan pages?? They made such a big deal out of Angelique’s post and then Peter admitted he registered the Player trademark three years ago solely to himself and that he was calling the shots and that Ronn would not be touring anymore. I believe they were deliberately creating issues that were not there to make Ronn quit the band, when that didn’t happen, he was given ultimatums.
Patti has been constantly changing things online with Player’s wiki page and trying to just push Ronn out like he never existed. So we had no choice but to get an attorney and we have tried to amicably to talk to them face to face, but they refuse. Peter then changed a gig that was advertised for months with just Ronn and Peter to just himself at the last minute and started telling promoters Ronn was no longer in Player and to book him for half the price. It really was disgusting to see such anger, greed and manipulation done to us after all the work we have put into trying to bring Player back for years, way before Eden was ever involved. Since we owned the domain playertheband.com from years ago, we decided we needed to activate that again because we had to protect Ronn’s presence from being manipulated by Patti in favor of only Peter and put up a website after seeing her antics regarding Ronn online. This domain along with my playerangels.com has enraged Peter and Eden who want total control of everything Player with no respect for Ronn and his contributions for years of rehearsals, tours and publicity, simply crazy and unbelievable that someone can be so demeaning and ungrateful, not to mention egotistical.
Suddenly, Player is only about Peter because he co-wrote and sings lead on “Baby Come Back, and “Ronn isn’t Player? If you look at Player’s original video for that song with over 48 million views so many comments refer to Ronn and his recognition as Ridge Forrester, which brought attention to Player, now Peter suddenly wants those fans to be gone and disregarded as true Player fans? Player performing on General Hospital was because of Ronn, not Peter and that national exposure helped the band. Ronn touring together with Peter for the past five years has helped bring Player back into the limelight. Peter was not touring as Player by himself and now he’s suddenly Player by himself because he registered the trademark secretly behind Ronn’s back? Why did he keep that a secret? Why are they telling fans Ronn left the band and now claiming we are lying? Why is Patti manipulating Player’s history online in favor of Peter? Why are they deleting fans speaking out? Trademarks are for consumers, the public, which means you the fans who buy the tickets to concerts and albums. Trademarks are not for a person solely to do as they wish with no regard for the buying public.
After so many years together, this has caused great confusion among Ronn’s fans and as always we tell you the truth of what’s happening with us. Sometimes we must endure challenges in life, but the truth always prevails and at the end of the day life goes on with other adventures that lead us to our destiny. Ronn will be just fine with or without Player and is having a blast doing “Ronn Moss and Friends.” It really is sad that a friend would do something like this to someone who has been nothing but giving and good. Since Trademark disputes are on a case by case basis, we must go this route because Ronn should have the right to regroup Player if Peter passed away tomorrow. He played on all these albums, toured and gave tons of publicity to this band and brand that is rightful also his and NOT solely Peter’s. It’s truly egotistical for Peter to believe it’s all about him. As one of Peter’s biggest fans I don’t care anymore to hear his voice and the passion I had for his music isn’t what it once was now. How can he stand to even look at himself in the mirror after a betrayal this low is beyond sad. So I’m confident that truth, as always will prevail and all the fans that we have brought to Player over the years will stand up and voice their opinion loud and clearly in hopes that Mr. Beckett will start to understand what exactly he’s done and is continuing to do and why it’s not right. Trying to steal something that you know wasn’t created solely by you alone is wrong. Peter had no respect for JC Crowley and didn’t not inform him either of registering this trademark. If you really own something and really believe that why would you keep that a secret from the other founding members of the group? Why would you embark on a lawsuit with those original members and call them Player when you wanted their money and help to fight for your back royalties? But, claim them not to be Player suddenly because you see an interest now in the entire band and don’t want to share a stage anymore with your friend of 40 years, why??
Suddenly, it’s your band instead of our band. Suddenly “Baby Come Back” is your song and Ronn’s bass riff had absolutely nothing to do with it? Personally, the harmonies of that song is what you remember most and what was played in the movie “Transformers” and in the “Swifer” commercial. Player was a group effort torn apart by ego, lies and manipulation for total control because of greed and jealousy. That’s the complete truth and pretty obvious to see. Patti got extremely competitive with me online and at one point took down my Player Angels website I let her create for you guys to share pics and experiences from Player concerts. We even made up cool sexy Player t-shirts with Patti’s website on the back to grow the Player Angels. I tried to make everything a team effort. Eden was one of the first ones I gave a shirt to. Then to find out that Patti tried to steal my Player Angels domain and point it to Peter’s Limey Cowboy site was beyond baffling. When I addressed it and pointed it to Ronn’s site suddenly Eden and Patti hated Player Angels. They really believed they owned my domain because it had the word Player in it that’s how naive Peter was and is about the web. I guess he thinks he owns anything with the name Player in and will attempt to sue anyone using the word Player even in a sentence now.
Ronn and I fronted the band’s merchandise with those shirts and Peter paid nothing. Ronn and got most of the best gigs Player had gotten and the best publicity for the band, as well as, it’s only proper tour. Seriously, do you think after all we have done to bring this dead band back that Ronn would just leave? Why was Peter suddenly so angry at Ronn and I over what exactly? We hardly saw them unless there was a gig anyway? And now they want you the fans to believe them and accept Peter only as Player because he wrote and sang their number one hit song and it’s all about him dammit! You crazy Ridge fans don’t care about music only Ronn who contributed nothing and means nothing. In fact, Eden once told a magazine that wrote Ronn was the lead singer of Player in Belgium that Ronn was Peter’s bass player. Actually, Ronn was Peter’s partner for many years over two decades actually and they got along fine and never had issues before? And Ronn also sang lead on Player songs, as well as, his own solo songs that were from time to time included in former Player sets. They collaborated and didn’t compete and it was magical. What this all boils down to is pure greed, ego and an over inflated sense of entitlement with no respect for all that has been given to him over the years by Ronn.
I think this is very apparent to most people now based on his recent open letter trying to do damage control for lying to fans that he continues to exaggerate and lie. Ronn left Player numerous times? Really? We tried to sabotage their gig? I think the fans spoke out like they are doing in droves now and Eden didn’t like it and accused us of doing it, like I have time to tell each of you what your feelings are and what you should post? These lame excuses are just pitiful and very telling to how many lies they have told not only to you the fans, but to promoters and to colleagues in their devious attempt to steal something that is not theirs solely to begin with. And to say Ronn sang Player songs, he sang one song, “Baby Come Back,” which he has earned the right to sing forever! In fact, Peter does not own any of the publishing to that song, he sold all the rights to Universal music. Here is a copy of the original Trademark for the band as you an clearly see Ronn’s name is listed and Player is not a solo artist. I’m confident truth will prevail over blatant lies here. Player for the past few years has been mostly Ronn and Peter singing about three songs. If he was Player all by himself why was Ronn even there? Why keep the fact that he registered the trademark a secret? And what is this reference to camp DevRonn? All I ever did was promote the hell out of him and Player over the years. It’s so pathetic this situation I almost feel sorry for him, but I don’t. He deserves exactly what’s coming to him for all the lies and deception to someone who has stood by him through thick and thin and that’s a fact. Ronn couldn’t have been a better friend or bandmate.
It’s been a while since we have visited Italy due to so many other obligations over the past few years, so it feels great to be back at our seconda casa. Ronn and Italy have had a love affair that has expanded over three decades. He did his first movie in Italy and they fell in love with him from “The Bold and The Beautiful,” which led to his dancing appearances on “Ballando Con Le Stelle” in 2009/2010. Now we are hoping to make some Ronn Moss concerts happen so Italy can see Ronn sing live in the future. In the meantime, it seems most Italians have missed seeing him and it’s become impossible to walk around Rome without constantly being stopped for photos. Rome has been one of the cities we have visited the most often and it always feels great to come back, like a second home.
While Ronn has been preparing for his live concert on the 5th of December in Estonia, he was invited to do a Christmas commercial for the Italian department store chain, “Acqua and Sapone.” So we decided to spend the Christmas holiday season with our dear friend, Lavinia Biagiotti who lost her mother designer, Laura Biagiotti earlier this year. Lavinia and Laura have been our Italian family for the past decade and we always stay at the Biagiotti castle outside of Rome as much as possible when visiting Rome. So it seemed fitting to spend this Christmas with Lavinia because we all felt so sad over the death of our beloved Laura.

Due to other promotional obligations, we are also traveling to Belgium to introduce the video and song for the children’s charity project that Ronn has launched with Belgium star, Chris Van Tongelen and German star, Melanie Wiegmann later this month. This is a terrific charity song that we are hoping to expand out to other countries to join in the quest to raise money for various children charities because children are our hope for a better tomorrow. We are planning to visit Finland for a couple of days after Estonia, since we are so close and celebrate their 100th independence day with them and there a few other surprises in the works that I will tell you about with they are more finalized.
It’s hard to believe that 2017 is almost over and another year is just ahead. Time is passing us by so fast and we must be grateful for each and every moment of happiness that we have. There have been so many losses this year of beloved loved ones and so many turbulent things happening in our world today that many of us have endured. So we are hoping and wishing for a more peaceful and loving solution to many of these issues as we embark on 2018. Sending you all lots of love and blessings for this holiday season from our family to yours!
We have been in Belgium for a week now and have finally adjusted from the jet lag as Ronn rehearsed for his preview performances of the live musical comedy variety show “De Bolle en de Beautiful,” which we are excited about. Tomorrow is the first of 3 private performance for press and VIP people over the next three days. The actual performances start on July 22nd in beautiful Blankenberg. In the meantime, DevRonn has an a two week European vacation and will visit friends in Germany, Amsterdam, Paris and Italy! Of course I will be livestreaming and taking you guys with us through our adventure over the next four months that we are based in Belgium. It’s been such a blissful and relaxing time thus far in Belgium. We have already visited the beautiful city of Brugge which is minutes way from the beaches of Blankenberg and plan to go back many more times to take in the gorgeous canals and beauty of its uniqueness. So for now I am feeling blissful in Belgium and will keep sharing more pics and videos, as well as, social media and here on our blog throughout our summer as we will continue exploring more cities like Antwerp and Gent.Fans of all ages have been wanting to take photos with Ronn as we walk around the town of DeHaan and what’s aweome about Belgium is that most people speak English, as well as, Dutch, French and German depending on where they live. Everyone is so polite and the food is awesome!
Mr Prince is having a ball eating great filet steaks and french fries and he even got to see the New Power Generation perform in concert and met up with Andre Cymone backstage. He also seems to be enjoying his daddy’s rehearsals and the stage director and crew think he’s a cool dude just like his daddy!
I think my hubby is having is having a great time doing this show and being able to stay for a while in one place! Ronn has some TV appearances and more musical concert surprises coming up this fall that I will be taking you guys to so stay tune and keep following because the best is yet to come!! Wishing everyone back home a great 4th of July!!
Summer is practically here and that usually means lots of fun concerts for Player. The past few summers they have been touring around the United States with the Yacht Rock Revue boys, Little River Band, Ambrosia, Orleans, Christopher Cross and Firefall just to name a few of those classic smooth rock bands we all know and love so much! However this summer we will be doing Ronn Moss solo concerts in Belgium, so the last Player concert for the summer of 2017 will be at the beautiful Library Theater in Huntington Beach. So if you haven’t seen these badass boys in concert live you are so missing out! This is your last chance in southern California to get to see them up close and personal and meet them after the Player show! I think everyone knows Baby Come Back was a Player original #1 hit that has stood the test of time in numerous commercials, movies and media outlets for the past 40 years now.
Since Ronn left “The Bold and The Beautiful” he has been touring every summer with Peter Beckett all over the USA and they did a full 14 day tour in Australia in 2014, as well as, appearances on “General Hospital” and “Celebrity Wife Swap.” Player also was part of the incredible Rock and Romance 70s Cruise to Cozumel, Mexico recently and joined classic rock legends like, “America” and Peter Frampton. So I think Player will be doing even more touring with more classic rock greats in the future. But, for now there is only one more Player date for this summer and the venue only holds 300 seats, so get your tickets here now!
We are also excited to announce that Ronn has just done a beautiful song with Pope Francis! Yes, you heard right the Pope and Ronn Moss are on a new record together that will be released the first week of June! I guess you can say a trip to Italy is in our near future also. Player recently played at home in Thousand Oaks at the Conejo Valley Days fair, so I’m gonna leave you with some video of what a fun time we had! Please visit Ronn’s website for more details on his future solo performances in Belgium all summer and follow Ronn on Reverbnation to keep up with performances!
It’s surreal to think that it will be a year since the purple one passed away and it’s hard for me to not think of him daily, especially in the month of April. I anticipated Mayte Garcia’s book like many fans of his royal badness and read it searching for answers to the gaps of questions I had. I found her book was done very well and it gave me great insight to some of the things I wondered and thought during his period as the symbol. I also found a lot of similarities to how he romanced her and other women during this time to how he romanced me. Prince was old school cool and really would use the telephone a lot to romance a girl.
I am now happy I listened to my intuition and wrote my memoir, “The Day It Snowed In April.” It was also done out of love and to pay tribute to that romantic beautiful time I shared with him when we both were so young and innocent. I think fans can see Prince was a complicated soul to figure out and part of the mysteriousness was created by him; so that his world would operate the way he wanted it to. As Mayte stated in her book, it was known that a girl was either leaving Minneapolis or staying and those gestures of handshakes he would give a girl was noted to mean he liked her.
Prince always had multiple women in his life and most of them were protégé’s he was grooming, as this was the only way you could fit into his world. I recognized this immediately and he tried to fit me into his world as a protégé, but I didn’t want that. I wanted to be my own person with my own merits and my own career and not be in his shadow or his creation. And there was no way I would want to live in Minneapolis as I could never get use to the winters in Chicago!
Reading Mayte’s book gave me insight to how it would have been for me had I said yes to the “Diamonds and Pearls” video. As much as I wanted to work with Prince the timing was not right and I couldn’t do that video because my marriage was falling apart at that time and as always I put love before career. Prince will always be an enigma to many people and will be studied and talked about for years to come. I’m happy Mayte is at peace with sharing aspects of the pain and sorrow they endured over the loss of their children. And I believe she was indeed the love of his life. I think he pushed her away knowing he was the flawed one and that she still had a chance to be a mother someday. Like most romances he had, the women he wooed loved him dearly because he wanted them to love only him. He was possessive and extremely jealous, but eventually they would all leave him.
I know now he only wanted the best for me and I was actually spared by not working with him because my memories are all so wonderful and beautiful. I came to Hollywood a Playboy Playmate dating the hottest rock star that we have ever seen! There was nothing to top that and for him he knew he could not possess me, so there was no choice but to show me only the good side of him. Many of Prince’s women were in Playboy, Vanity, Carmen Electra, Kim Basinger, Anna Fantastic, but I was introduced to Prince by Playboy and I think he knew that would pose a problem because girls who pose for Playboy end up with may opportunities and options from other powerful men, rock stars, movie stars etc.
I’m sure the fact that Mayte ended up engaged to Tommy Lee of all people only added to his ongoing nightmare that he could not possess her any longer either. As usual, Prince struggled with his own demons and his own values of what was good or bad and he created his world to be exactly the way he wanted it to be. I also created and manifested my world to be the way I felt it should be for me. I think Prince knew when I wrote, “To be loved and in love having a comfortable life and my own family” on my Playmate data sheet that I wanted marriage and family first and foremost. I think that’s why he mentioned he was married to music so often. He knew what the women in his life wanted and most wanted fame and fortune.
When he found his soul mate in Mayte he found his true love, but the tragedy of not having a child with her was something he couldn’t get over and so he had to push her away and I think he did that out of his love for her. I wondered why he married so quickly after the greatest love he ever had and I think it was to make her move on from him. He was being unselfish by pushing her away from him because he knew she could bare children just not his children. I hope many friends, fans and former lovers are now at peace with his death. I’m sure more insightful stories will be shared over time and this is why I wrote out mine in “The Day It Snowed In April.” I didn’t want to forget him and that unique magical time we shared. I am happy, healthy and have a daily reminder of him in my tiny little teacup rescue that I named after him. I am so grateful to have found my soul mate and have a wonderful marriage, so I know the choices I made long ago led me to this moment in time.
I am happy I can now listen to his music and talk about him without crying. I have reconnected with many people from the Revolution and friends who knew him over the past year. I have shared my story for everyone to know him the way I knew him and I look forward to hearing about stories I have yet to learn.
Player was excited to be a part of the inaugural, 70s Rock and Romance cruise to Cozumel, Mexico this past weekend. We took off from Fort, Lauderdale on the Celebrity Summitt cruiseline and simply had a blast of a weekend. Many of our friends were onboard as we were joined by other classic rock bands from the 70s, which is my favorite music that included, Ambrosia, Firefall, Orleans, Little River Band, America, Christopher Cross, Peter Frampton and ELO. It was an incredible weekend of just band hopping from one amazing band to the next! I went back to high school in my mind, body and spirit dancing the night away, while sailing in an almost magical way, wine tasting and eating the most delicious food! Our captain was this cute and funny guy from Ecuador, who had a great sense of humor. He would wake us up by talking about how excited he was to see all the bands live, especially his favorite, America! I must say, they were incredible. It was just so cool to actually see and hang out with all the bands of the music we all grew up with. The boat was filled with love and romance under a full moon dancing to the smooth sounds of, Ambrosia! I mean, who doesn’t want to slow dance to, “That’s How Much I feel” under a full moon? As most of you know, Player has already been touring with Ambrosia, Little River Band, Stephan Bishop, Orleans, Firefall and Christopher Cross, so this was an epic cruise!
Player of course was super exciting to watch and the music was nothing less than outstanding! I was so proud of all of them! Rob Math on guitar had girls screaming and swooning, especially when they played the song, “Religion.” What was ultra cool was that the fans brought their Player albums for them to sign and was able to buy their latest CD, “Too Many Reasons” onboard for them to sign. Fans came from as far as Norway and Spain to see them and the energy all around us was awesome! The people onboard had a real appreciation for that decade of amazing music and musicians. I watched bands all night and never got tired of watching and listening to their amazing harmonies and range of vocals. I watched “Firefall” and was simply entranced by the musicians gracing that stage bringing to life the music I grew up on and transporting me back in time.
You must go on a cruise like that with all your friends and have an unforgettable memory for the rest of your life! I can’t praise the quality of the ship, fans, music, food, wine and energy of this cruise and highly recommend it. In fact, they are booking next year’s artist already which includes, Michael MacDonald, Styx, Poco and Badfinger. I predict this will be ongoing and will only get better each and every year. Coming back on our flight was not so pleasant when our plane started rockin and rolling it’s way home with strong turbulence. This was a seriously scary bout of turbulence I had never experienced before, but thankfully we are now home safe and recouping from a super fun weekend!
Ronn is now preparing for another Ronn Moss and Friends concert with the lovely, Christine Love at the Vibrato Jazz club on March 29! We have the Daytime Emmy nominations to look forward to next week! I’m pretty sure “The Bay” will be nominated for a few Emmys from this past season. Player has some upcoming local Los Angeles gigs that we will be putting on the new Player website which will feature interactive conversation with all our classic rock friends like, Little River Band, Ambrosia and Firefall. We will have contests, blogs and cool things to share with you about Player on this site which is coming soon! You may now follow Player on Instagram and Twitter and keep up with all the surprises coming for them. They are so exciting to see live because they have such a vibe of sensual love songs and serious rockers like, “Silver Lining.” Peter Beckett hasn’t lost his ability to deliver in vocals and guitar solos. So if you have the chance to see them live, I highly recommend it!
Last week I officially launched my memoir, “The Day It Snowed In April” on my life and time with rock star Prince. It was my way of paying tribute to his unique style and music legacy with a purple theme party in Beverly Hills. The event was held at the home of Brad and Tina Hillstrom, who are natives from Minneapolis. I wanted purple carpet instead of red and for everything to be colored purple in honor of Prince. I even dressed little Prince up in a custom outfit so that he could live up to his namesake for photos.
We had so much rain in the days leading up to the event, I wasn’t sure if the weather would clear up? But it seemed like Prince was surely smiling down on us that day as the sun started to shine! Many long time friends enjoyed listening to Stereo Mike Creamer spin some of Prince’s music that he made during my time with him.
Purple love was in the air and even though it was “Fashion Week” and Grammy week, the purple unicorn singer, Justine Skye stopped by looking fabulous, along with America’s favorite letter turner, Vanna White and classic rock singer, Al Stewart.
Guest enjoyed vegan appetizers by Deliteful meals and chef Karen and purple cupcakes from Swirls. We had a purple punch compliments of Purple Haze and Blackhorn imports. A big thank you to publicist Tiffany Ladner and Anolan for all the organization that went into creating such a memorable afternoon. I gave autographed copies of my book in giftbags along with sponsored gifts from ThinEssence, Delightful meals, Parfaire, Green Leaf, and Expert Insight Publishing. My gorgeous purse was compliments of Grace Nowak and my hair and makeup was done by Emily and the Four Season’s Salon in Westlake, compliments of Yamaguchi. My hair had a shade of purple in it compliments of Louise at Urban Dyebar and I was driven in style to the party in a Rolls Royce compliments of Royal Exotic cars. Special thanks to William Kidston for all the lovely photos and to my Playmate sisters, Deborah Driggs, Barbara Moore and Sandra Taylor for all the love and support!
Half of the proceeds from my book will go to benefit Prince’s charity, #YesWeCode. This is my way of paying it forward and keeping his desire for children’s education in the forefront of his legacy. I thought it was fitting to officially launch “The Day It Snowed In April” in February, the month of love because of the pure love that I know we all shared for Prince and all the amazing music he gave us. You can get “The Day It Snowed In April” now on Amazon and Barnes and Noble in Hardcover, Paperback and Kindle and the Audio version will be out soon! If you enjoyed the book, share the purple love and give it as gift and please don’t forget to give me a review on Amazon
This past week has been so beautiful watching the flowers bloom everywhere and enjoying the essence of a real Spring for a change here in southern California. Ronn and I have been very busy with various charity events such as, the Unstoppable gala that he was asked to present at. Unstoppable provides education for children in Africa and has made the difference already is so many children. It was a black tie affair with Ann Archer, Bob Proctor and Dyan Cannon who hosted the gorgeous gala.
Ronn then performed with Peter Beckett at the Canyon Club, as Player, who joined Ambrosia, Stephan Bishop and the one and only Michael McDonald and his wife Amy to benefit a little girl named Darcy who is battling cancer. I think you guys know by now how much we lend our time and efforts to charities that benefit children and animals. The Canyon Club event was a great success and a lot of fun and we were honored to be a part of it.
Then we got to spend some quality time with Creason and Calee due to their spring break and I managed to do some cooking for them and the band when they came over to rehearse with Ronn for upcoming gigs. The feeling of excitement was in the air all week leading up to the 5 Emmy nominations for our series, “The Bay” which includes “Best Digital Drama Series” and “Best Actor, Kristos Andrews” along with “Best Actresses, Mary Beth Evans, Lilly Melgar and Patsy Pease.”
The thought of adding two more Emmys to our household is just so surreal! In addition to “The Bay” Emmy nominations, we are in getting ready to shoot more episodes in May and have even more exciting news to share with you guys soon on the amazing progress our Bay family is making! There are many exciting new beginnings for our Bay family and our own family to share with you soon!
Right now we are just excited to be healthy and happy to celebrate this Easter weekend with our wonderful friends, as we look forward to what’s ahead in our future both personally and professionally. Wishing you all a wonderful Passover/Easter weekend!
During the late 80s and early 90s, Guns N’ Roses were arguably the biggest band in the world. Playing outdoor stadiums, headlining festivals and a mainstay on MTV, Axl Rose and Slash were literally everywhere and adored by millions including me! We are dear friends with their current keyboardist, Chris Pittman.
However, after many disputes, the band grew further apart and it wasn’t long before the two weren’t even on speaking terms. Several court cases followed and the band broke up. Axl Rose and Slash played their last show together in 1993 in Argentina.
As we fast forward 23-years, it looks like they have finally built the bridges needed to mend the gaping wounds that were left from a string of high profile bust-ups. What makes it even more intriguing for GnR fans is that the band have enlisted the help of founding members Steve Adler (drums) and Duff McKagan (bass) to join the band on the 5 date tour that they’ve just announced.
Although, Izzy Stradlin won’t be joining GnR on their shows at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Los Foro and Coachella shows, he has revealed he is willing to enter the studio with the band. While the band is yet to announce an extensive tour of North America, they did reveal their intentions to record a new album this year.
The last album released by GnR was ‘Chinese Democracy’, which took 6 years to make and came out in 2008, 15-years after the band’s ‘Spaghetti Incident’ album. ‘Chinese Democracy’ however, only featured Axl Rose and none of the other founding members, thus many hardcore GnR fans questioned whether it was actually a legitimate GnR record.
With the band selling over 100 million records worldwide during their career, 2016 is set to be an extremely profitable one for the band as they look to retain their status as a big hitter in the music world. When they get round to unveiling the details of their tour of North America, which is set to feature several football stadiums, the band hope to pull in over $3 million per show as well as charging that for their Coachella appearances. One I’m sure many of you are looking forward to seeing!
As things start to reach fever pitch in the lead-up to their first show at the T-Mobile Arena in April, GnR is expected to pocket millions in merchandise sales. With their touring commitments, recording a new album, media obligations and various festival headline slots, it’s going to be a hectic year for one of rock music’s biggest ever bands.
While it still doesn’t quite feel real, we are sure that when fans hear Slash’s guitar kick into action for the first time, it’ll be like they never went away. ————————————————————————————————-
The past two weeks provided Ronn and I with an appreciated break from the undying heat in southern California. We enjoyed experiencing a real fall that enabled us to wear a jacket instead of wanting to peel off every stitch of clothing for a change. It was lovely to see all the leaves turning shades of red, orange and yellow throughout the beautiful countryside of Belgium. And Ronn’s performance with DeRomeos was a big hit with fans. We were treated to some amazing cuisine, fine beer and of course Belgian chocolate!
After the concert, we met up with our loyal DevRonn Fanclub members and finally put faces to the names of some wonderful fans we invited to join us backstage. We had so much fun thanks to our new fanclub president, Angelique DeVries! Business meetings on future projects followed, and then we headed to Amsterdam to visit some friends and got “Lost In Amsterdam” with Anthony Geary who now lives there. Since he has retired the role of Luke Spencer from General Hospital, it was time to have some fun! Tony showed us around the university and opera house of Amsterdam as we made our way to Rembrandt’s Square.
He then took us to the coolest place called, “Lost In Amsterdam” where we could take our shoes off and have a drink or smoke a bud, while watching people walk or ride their bikes along the pristine cobbled stone streets. It was easy to spend hours losing track of time in this place. I had done a great deal of walking around the city with Ronn while he took photos of the beautiful canals and bridges. It was easy to see why so many artists have been greatly inspired by this unique city. The architecture alone is amazing! Even though I had been to Amsterdam twice before this trip, I had not really seen its beauty and left with a new appreciation for all it has to offer after this adventure.
It was the first time Ronn had the ability to enjoy exploring a place he had been to before, but never really got to see due to his hectic schedule on B&B. I found the food, culture and people to be excellent. Although we were only there for a few days, its apparent that it’s one of the happiest places on earth. Tony said, “The Dutch doesn’t care what you do, as long as you are polite about it.” Maybe that’s why so many people are attracted to Amsterdam? We took many of you with us thanks to Periscope and the feedback that I heard was very cool. Thanks to technology, we were able to share a bit of our experience with you guys and also met up with more fanclub members! We even made a few new friends along the way and took home memories that will last a lifetime!
I think we will return again and again to get “Lost In Amsterdam,” as we get inspired by its timeless beauty and unique vibe.
It’s been six years since Ronn and I have been to the Netherlands and I have never been to Belgium, so this will be a trip I’m looking forward to. It was always difficult to take in the gorgeous cities Ronn and I would travel to in the past due to his demanding schedule on B&B. But now we are free to take our time and enjoy each and every city we visit. As most of you know, Ronn will be performing in concert with DeRomeos on October 24th. There will be an exclusive meet and greet for our DevRonn Fanclub members and you will be informed on more details soon.
We have various meetings of interest on projects that are forming and DevRonn related interest in Ronn’s BBQ sauce and my spice, along with business dinners and lunches. However, we will have time to take in the sights and beauty of the fall weather and we are so looking forward to that! The heat has been unbearable and we both are really tired of the constant summer that we have had to endure in Southern California recently. Our city desperately needs rain right now, so we hope that change comes soon for us.
This past week has been rather busy due to a shoot for the cast of “The Bay” in Malibu at the new home of my best friend Caroline Cusumano, which made it an ultra fun shoot. Look for “The Bay” to release their new shows real soon and be prepared to be in awe! These will be the most intriguing season jam packed with suspense, excitement, drama and sex appeal. I see nothing but praise for our amazing cast and crew!
I plan to scope the highlights of our trip on Periscope so you can feel like you are there with us. So please follow both Ronn and I on Persicope so you don’t miss out on all the fun! We look forward to sharing our adventure in an up close and personal way. We plan on keeping our fanclub members meet and greet small and intimate so we can spend some quality time with you guys that’s why being a member has it’s privileges! There is also a meet and greet opportunity available for those of you attending the concert to meet Ronn! There have been revisions done on Ronn’s website and more surprises coming!
As the boiling heat of summer has seemed to subside and we ease into September, I thought it was fitting to have a end of the summer JamParty for several reasons. One reason was I had promised 14 year old Carly, who you remembered shared my birthday Jam with me, and ended up in the hospital because she was in a diabetic coma! Carly had sang “Baby Come Back” at our birthday party and that was the only thing she responded to in the hospital when she was in a coma. So I promised her I would get the boys together so she could sing “Baby Come Back” again and cook her gumbo because she’s a Louisiana girl.
Secondly, AMBROSIA and PLAYER have been bonding during their summer tour and it was an excuse to get them together for a good old fashion Jam. Ronn wanted me to keep this JamParty small because we have been so exhausted from traveling and shooting both “Bruna In Beverly Hills” and “The Bay” that we just didn’t have the energy to entertain too many people. Besides, we wanted to have time to actually talk to our guests. And it was so nice to finally have a weekend at home that we could spend with a few friends we hadn’t seen in a while, like my Playmate sister, Barbara Moore.
It was also nice to catch up with Jimmy Carnelli, Rob Math and Jawn Star who jammed the night away with Ray Parker Jr and Dave Amato from REO Speedwagon. We had to do this Jam on a Monday because it was the only day that all these musicians weren’t working or away on tour and trust me, it wasn’t easy to coordinate everyone’s schedules. Plus, it turned out that school started that day and we still had a couple of people that couldn’t make it. Nevertheless, it was a fun Monday night that I believe is start of many more to come.
Summer just flew by so fast this year for us, so an end of the summer JamParty was a great topper to a really fun summer! Many of you know by now, that Ronn and I will be traveling to Belgium for his guest appearance with De Romeos in concert on October 24th. You may get your tickets here. I’ve never been to Belgium and am greatly looking forward to that! Ronn has also been guesting on their popular TV show, “Familie” this past week as a secret agent.
There are a few more concert dates for PLAYER and AMBROSIA in mid September and I highly recommend you catch one of them if you can. Since they are both west coast bands, you may see more of them in upcoming concerts on the west coast soon. In the meantime, you check out a bit of our end of the summer JamParty!
It’s been hard for me to put the past week into words because our whole trip to New York and The Hamptons was quite an adventure. When I booked this adorable little bed and breakfast in Southold, because we were attending a wedding in the Hamptons; I had no idea how far I was from East Hampton where the actual wedding took place. On top of the fact that mid July is the busiest time of the year to even go to the Hamptons! So it took a bus ride called, “The Jitney” and two ferry rides to get to the other side of Long Island, once I landed at our bed and breakfast called, “A Walk In The Woods.” Trust me they didn’t name it that for nothing, because it’s nestled right in the woods with nothing around it for miles! There isn’t even a sign to find it and our taxi driver got lost in the woods trying to find us! So it’s really a miracle that we made the wedding fifteen minutes before it started considering what we went through to get there.
You see it all started with a walk back in time for me when I got to see Ambrosia, Player, Robbie Dupree and Stephen Bishop onstage together for the first time in Jersey, Staten Island and New York City. The venues they played at were simply gorgeous and the audience couldn’t get enough of the music. That sound takes you back in time and they are all just simply amazing! So the shows were so much fun and it was obvious that the fans felt just like I did. The boys got mobbed after each show for autographs and photos and I predict they will be doing a lot more shows! So if you haven’t caught one yet, you are really missing out! After three concerts, Ronn and I had to catch our Jitney to make the wedding and couldn’t find the pickup spot and ended up missing the bus we were scheduled and prepaid to be on! On top of the constant phone calls to Jitney, it started pouring down rain! I was concerned that we would even make this wedding, however kept the faith and was determined to get there!
When we were finally picked up and dropped off in the little village of Southold, it felt like we had walked back in time. Everything looked so quaint and had that small town feeling everywhere. Even the Chase bank was small and cute. We then had to get a taxi to take us to our bed and breakfast place, “A Walk In The Woods” and he had a bit of trouble finding it. However, once we got there, we were greeted by the owner, Flo, who we thought looked just like Jeannie Cooper! I was already tired and hungry from the Jitney jaunt, but figured we had three hours before the wedding to get ready and get there. Flo informed us that we would have to take two ferries and with the amount of traffic around there, we could be hard pressed in making that wedding. Hey, I’m use to traffic in LA and this place seemed like a picturesque postcard that you saw 30 years ago of a small town, how much traffic could there possibly be? Ronn and I decided to take a little nap in our adorably decorated room.
I was quickly informed that a car would have to pick us up two hours before the wedding to get us through the ferries to get there on time. So there was no time to nap, we had to get showered and dressed and get going! The process felt like we were characters of a romance novel trying to get to our destination as we were scooped up in a car and the car drove onto the ferry parked with other cars as we sailed across this body of water. It was something both Ronn and I had never done before and it was a gorgeous day, so we were enjoying it. Ronn got out of the car and took photos of course. Flo was right, it took every bit of time we had to make it through the quaint little villages that led up to East Hampton and to the Maidstone Inn where the wedding took place.
Needless to say, we both downed a couple of glasses of champagne immediately upon arrival to toast the fact that we made it on time! When the bride and groom learned about our adventure to get there, we were offered a room that became available nearby so that we could join them the next day for their wedding brunch. So at the end of the night when we tried to get a taxi to take us 3 miles down the road, we quickly learned that would be impossible because of all the people that were in the Hamptons. So Ronn thought we should just get some exercise and walk it since it was a beautiful night. It was a good thing I had on flat shoes, but walking 3 miles was not easy at midnight after a few glasses of champagne! This adventure just didn’t stop! The next day after the brunch, we headed back to “A Walk In The Woods” to enjoy our last evening and relax. We even saw a deer walking around who stopped and took a good look at us!
After our Hampton experience it was time to head to New York and see some sites, such as, “The Freedom Tower.” Again it was a lot of walking around, but totally worth it. We ended up in “Little Italy” for a great Italian dinner at a wonderful place called, “Puglia.” Ronn and I enjoyed walking around 5th avenue and Bryant Park where several fans from Italy recognized him and asked for photos. Our adventure continued as we made our way to Times Square. I said goodbye to Ronn as he continued on to Ohio for his next concert and I spent the day alone drinking in Park Avenue and made my way to Gramercy Park to visit my fashion designer girlfriend, “Lantie” before heading off to the airport to return home. It truly felt like I had walked back in time and returning home felt so great. Reflecting back on the past week has become a memory I won’t soon forget. It’s great to have these kinds of experiences, but there is no place like home!
June 25th is my birthday and it fell on a Thursday this year, so I really wasn’t thinking of doing much more than going out to dinner with the family. I didn’t feel like I could possibly top my big blowout a couple of years ago anyway. However, I found out a very special young lady named Carlyn had her 14th birthday the day after mine and she too was from my home state of Louisiana. Now Carlyn is pretty special because she is also part of our “Bay Family” which consists of quite a lot in cast and crew. Carlyn’s mother is our Bay publicist and Carlyn has diabetes. So when she expressed with such excitement that we should celebrate our birthdays together this year; I just couldn’t resist doing it to see her beam up with joy.
Carly as we call her, was already planning what kind of cake we should have while we were filming the Bay and even though I didn’t have throwing a birthday party on my mind, it was impossible not to do it for her. I thought a good old fashion house party would be perfect. Plus, we haven’t had a Potluck Jam Party in quite some time. It kind of went with being a Louisiana girl to have everyone bring a dish and participate. I wanted to take the time to spend with Carly and some of my girlfriends who I had not seen in a while. So it was awesome to hang out in the pool and Jacuzzi with the girls, while we watched Ronn and his buddies grill.
Throughout the day, other friends joined us and brought over more food. Some of my girlfriends have autistic children and they joined Carly, along with PLAYER and some new and old musician friends we were excited to hear sing. One of those friends was the $100,000 Star Search winner in the singing category from my year, Miss Peggi Blu. I had not seen Peggi in 30 years, so this was such a blessed treat. She was joined by Guns n Roses Keyboardist, Chris Pittman and New Zealand’s Steve Cooke. Vocalist, Shannan Rene’ Parks brought the house down with her powerful voice and Carlyn surprised everyone and sang, “Baby Come Back.” I also got to hear our 16 year old Calee sing with PLAYER, and like her daddy, she’s got the music in her! Our little flower girl, Trease Baker showed off her set of pipes as well, and she’s only eight!
I cooked red beans and rice and we also had grilled BBQ chicken, amazing salads, fried chicken, potato salad and watermelon. It felt like we were right back in the south the way we were carrying on eating, drinking and dancing to some killer music! The evening flew by and needless to say, both Ronn and I were completely exhausted by 1am, which was around the time the last of our guests left. I had to see Ronn off the next day as he joined Ambrosia in Oklahoma for the start of their summer tour. So I’ve been left alone to rest and relish what an amazing birthday I had and how blessed I was to have shared it with Carly. I didn’t expect to have received so many amazing gifts, from flowers, orchids, perfume, candles, scarves, handbags, makeup bags, champagne, wine glasses, martini glasses, crystal candle holders, wine and gift certificates, cards and DVD movies, my birthday was filled with love, laughter and blessings galore!
I felt 25 again and decided to switch my numbers to this birthday to reflect just that. I mean 50 is the new 30 right? Age is just a number anyway and I certainly felt good on my birthday just to keep up the pace with all those kids around me! We jammed the night away and it seemed to just fly by so fast leaving us wanting more. They say like energy attracts like energy and the energy all day was magnetic. We were all on a great high from the love and positive energy around us. It gave me such joy to feel that and to share it with Carlyn!
We are gearing up to start shooting “The Bay” and there is quite a bit of excitement in the air for this new season of shows. After a relaxing Memorial Day weekend at home, Ronn and I will be working long hours this weekend with our Bay family.
It’s hard to believe that almost half of 2015 has just flown by already and summer is just around the corner! This means Player will be touring around the USA with Little River Band and Ambrosia soon. Ironically, Baby Come Back was the song of choice that four friends were singing on their way from Miami to Los Angeles, when their tire blew out on the freeway! Thankfully they were all fine, but the video went viral with almost 5 million views thus far! This has caused many fans to request Player to appear on talk shows!
Ronn and I are really excited to go to NYC together in July when Player is on tour because after eleven years, we have never been to NYC together! So this will be super fun for us! Ronn has also been in the mood to do his photography and I’ve done a little modeling for him recently, we are now trying to find some more time to shoot more photos together soon!
Ronn’s Kickass BBQ Sauce is starting to get quite a buzz and those of you who have tried it, know why. We will be informing our Fanclub members of some exciting news soon! When you signup for our Fanclub, you will get a FREE Cajun Spice and sample size BBQ sauce, along with a FREE Ebook of autographed photos and 10% off all DevRonn products that you buy from our store! Plus you get to know first where and when we will appear next, so if you aren’t a member, what are you waiting for?
We are looking forward to rocking out this summer with Player and friends and enjoying more BBQs with Ronn’s Kickass BBQ Sauce, not to mention, some amazing surprises just for our Fanclub members!
Ronn and I have been on a winning streak both personally and professionally in this past week. Starting with the Paul Newman event “Winning the race for charity” that we attended with Peter Beckett and Eden Ayers. Peter and Ronn performed at the Roosevelt Hotel along with members of “Little River Band” and “Toto.” Then we took off to Las Vegas with Peter and Eden to attend a private birthday party and got to see Winsor Harmon.
It was a rare weekend for us to reflect and celebrate winning some personal issues that we have been battling for quite some time, as well as, winning that Emmy nomination as producers on our amazing series, “The Bay.” We were in such gratitude and on a natural high just being with friends and enjoying the awesome music Peter and Ronn participated in along with other great artists, such as Jeff “Skunk” Baxter of the “Doobie Brothers” and “Steely Dan.”
When we arrived home it was time to celebrate with parties that were leading up to the Emmys. I was thrilled to see our long time Aussie friend, Fiona Horne and spend some quality time with her, while Ronn went to the festivities for Pop TV and got to see alot of his fellow soap stars. Since “The Bay” was put in the category of “New Approaches” and held with the creative Emmys on Friday, it was not televised. Apparently, Pop TV which is the former TV Guide network only wanted shows that were broadcast on television on the actual Emmys this year. We didn’t think that was fair considering it wasn’t that way last year, but nevertheless, it’s the same Emmy! Turns out “The Bay” beat out shows from Hulu and Youtube and took home that Emmy!
We couldn’t be more than thrilled for this amazing cast and crew! It is more than well deserved and TV Guide said, “The Bay blurred the lines between prime time and daytime television.” So I predict “The Bay” could find a home soon on primetime television and maybe be the first show to win both a daytime and primetime Emmy in the coming years.
Ronn and I chose not to attend the awards and instead see John McCook’s daughter Molly’s show, “Cruel Intentions the Musical.” It was an awesome musical and we got to see Katherine Kelly Lang, John McCook, Scott Clifton and Kim Matula there. By the time we arrived home to the news that we were now Emmy winning producers, it made our evening even more special.
We then attended the Emmy gifting suite and ran into more B&B soap stars we hadn’t seen in quite a while such as, Jacob Young and Ali Mills. Ronn and I will both get our Emmy in the mail soon and look forward to shooting the new season of “The Bay” next month!
The past couple of weeks have been rather hectic for us. I spontaneously threw a fund- raiser for the “Songs of Love” charity on Grammy night and it was quite a turn out! However, it wasn’t without tremendous help from our very own publicist from “The Bay,” Tiffany Ladner who spent days on end putting it together.
It was also to launch Ronn’s Kickass BBQ Sauce, which we all are very proud of. We had some amazing sponsors for what we believe will be the first of many Kickass parties! It was held at a lavish private mansion and in honor of seven year old, Neel who has leukemia. As you know by now, “Songs of Love” provide tailor made songs for children who are terminally ill. So we all got to sing the chorus to a tailor made song that Ronn recorded for Neel who beamed with joy.
I came up with the theme “A Taste of New Orleans” and want to make this an annual event for “Songs of Love” in hopes that they bring more smiles of joy to children just like Neel. I think combining Cajun food, good wine and fun people around Mardi Gras is a great way to kick off a Grammy party and I think most of the guests that attended would agree! Ronn performed with Jawn Star and Jimmy Carnelli and we had a host of exotic cars from Cluricane 490 Wine and Spirits club membership who donated a $1300 door prize to some lucky winner to drive one of those babies!
The night was awesome, but I’m rather tired from a entire weekend of charities. We had also attended the Charity For Charity event in Temecula, which was also a lovely evening celebrating the wishes of children with disabilities. Speaking of wishes, I know how much you guys have been wishing for more Ebay items directly from us, so there are tons of things in both of our Ebay stores just in time for Valentine’s Day. More personal things are coming for auction like Ronn’s very own Samsung Notebook phone!
I have some exciting news to share with you guys that will be coming up in our Valentine’s newsletter when you sign up on our DevRonn website. Now that you have been introduced to Ronn’s Kickass BBQ Sauce, it’s time to fire up that grill and have a kickass party of your own!
Australia has had an ongoing love affair with Ronn for decades now. It was seen firsthand during his last two solo tours, but magnified greatly during this last month as Ronn and Player toured around OZ. I saw the constantly quest for photos everywhere we went and from young and old, men and women, seems everyone was thrilled to see Ronn and show their love.
That’s what’s so amazing about Australia, the land and people are truly beautiful and it shows in spades. They are polite with a light and happy attitude that says, “No worries mate, everything is alright.” So as we spent our last week enjoying this love affair, we knew we would have to come back to the reality of the fact that it was just a visit. However, the memories will last a lifetime and what memories they have been! Our Aussie love affair is indeed just beginning with new friends that we have made and new adventures we will be having together.
Player has now made a new stamp on the Aussie’s hearts and it was shown in their smiling faces, as they lined up each and every night to greet Ronn and the band for photos. The Aussies have a stamp on our hearts as well. We all enjoyed their hospitality and warmth everywhere we went.
We were all spoiled to great seafood like prawns and oysters and fish and chips. Aussies also take their coffee seriously and their cappuccinos were amazing! There are even institutions dedicated to Baristas and coffee. However, these cappuccinos were strong and would have you hopping around like a Kangaroo if you had too many. I could only have one a day. The tour took us through some northern cities like Coffs Harbour and Twin Towns where we saw the most beautiful beaches, however we didn’t have much time to spend on them due to the hectic schedule of the band.
Ronn usually had press days on the days off, but Peter and Eden got to go further north and enjoy parts of Queensland. We did all make it to the Featherdale Park to see the animals together. And Ronn and I had a beautiful private tour of the Sydney Harbour compliments of designer, Cristina Nipoti and Vesna Perry.
Ronn and I had a hair makeover by fame hairstylist, Alan Buki and I was given an awesome flat iron for my hair by EVY personalized with my name on it. Our tour promoters Roy and Enza Ortuso treated us to some fabulous dinners and did everything to make us all feel at home. Player had the most fabulous crew taking care of them backstage with our tour manager Stu Marks, sound engineer Andrew Troy and Sam the man who made sure the guys were always in tune.
But it was the devotion from the fans that was indeed beautiful to see at each and every performance. They expressed how much they missed Ronn as Ridge Forrester and let him know how much he meant to them. I saw mothers and daughters, grandmothers and husband and wives tell Ronn how much they loved watching him each and everyday for years.
I think it’s safe to say we will be returning to the land of OZ and I for one hope it’s soon!
As we come into the home stretch of the Aussie Player tour this week, it’s safe to say they have hit a home run with every performance and the fans can’t seem to get enough of them. There have been such a diversity with the audiences that attended the past shows. Women are coming with their moms, grandmothers and husbands to the shows and seem to really enjoy every moment of not only Player, but Ronn’s playful interaction with them before he brings Player on stage. There has been a lot of laughter, dancing and photos after the shows. Long lines have formed for the purchase of merchandise and photos with Ronn and the band.
Last night the stage was filled with women from age 20-80 dancing to their encore and it’s amazing to watch how much fun everyone is having on this tour. We have had a hectic week of traveling between Coffs Harbour, Twin Towns and Campbelltown and back to Sydney for much needed rest. Peter was starting to lose his voice the past few days and poor Jimmy had a stomach bug from something he ate, but they pulled off amazing concerts nevertheless. With only three more shows left in this tour, we head to MacKay and Hornsby later this week and then it will be time to say goodbye to one of our most memorable trips.
We have all made some new amazing friends and the tour crew couldn’t have been more wonderful. It has truly been an experience of a lifetime to explore this beautiful country and the people here. So now that OZ has gotten to know Ronn a bit better and has been introduced to Player, it’s probably in the cards that we will someday return to OZ to rock out once again. I know next week is Thanksgiving for our friends back home and want to wish them a happy Turkey day. Speaking of turkey, we saw a few live ones walking around our hotel. We also saw these creatures called, “water dragons” that hang out like pets everywhere. The boys freaked out over a huge snake crossing the road on our way back from Twin Towns and we learned even though it was huge, it wasn’t dangerous. It seems OZ has a lot of creatures that we just don’t have in America and alot of things that could be deadly. They also have creatures that look deadly, but aren’t. So I guess you just can’t judge a book by it’s cover around these Aussies.
There are pristine gorgeous beaches in northern Australia, but we had no time to spend on them due to soundchecks and three shows in a row. I did manage to visit one in Coffs Harbour briefly for a photo. Today Ronn and I actually saw the pool in our hotel for the first time in three weeks and did absolutely nothing. It was a good day to just rest and chill out after so much traveling the past few days. We were happy to see Player Angel, Eden join us last night and she was able to help me get the fans dancing onstage at the end of the night. I made our sound engineer Andrew an honorary Player Angel because he’s been the one I’ve hung out with the most during the tour and I now call him, “Girlfriend.” I do anticipate a growing number of Player Angels will be forming now and will have those Player T-shirts available on Ronn’s website soon!
It’s hard to believe we are half way through the tour and our Aussie Adventure has been so amazing. The fans have been responding so positively at all of the shows and standing in line for hours for photos and autographs. They also seem to love the questions and answers from Ronn and the behind the scenes clips. There hasn’t been much down time the past couple weeks for Ronn with all the press, but now we have a couple of days to relax and regroup here in Sydney. So tonight we are going to see the group YES in concert and later this week we will have a private tour of the zoo.
The band has become tighter as a whole and the venues and stages have been so nice. I shot a lot of great video footage and wanted to share some highlights with you here. The boys are having a blast, having been eating quite well and obviously enjoying their Aussie adventure. It’s been weird for me being the only female hanging out with them and some of the things I hear coming out of their mouths having been so comical. I can’t wait for Eden to get here so I have another Player Angel to hang out at the shows with. Since the shows have been nearly filled to capacity, I have been sitting in the sound booth with our engineer Andrew, who I call my girlfriend. I’m so use to being up close front and center, but these Aussie women are so enthusiastic about the shows, that it hasn’t been possible for me to get that privilege so far. I don’t mind and have been having a blast watching the love shown to them. It’s been a dream for me to show you guys firsthand what I see all the time in our garage during rehearsals. Our Aussie adventure will continue and I will try and keep you up to date with more photos and videos along the way.
It’s strange being on the other side of the world where it’s summer in November and we are seeing Christmas decorations out, but it feels like July heat to us. And we are missing another Thanksgiving back home this year. All in all we are in major gratitude for all the love and affection you guys are showing us online and in person everywhere we go and sending you the love right back!
Our trip down under has been nothing short of an exciting adventure. Player has been on fire at every concert so far and the fans are showing the love for Ronn and the band after every show. Player and Ronn Moss T-shirts and CDs are selling like crazy and there have been some female fans that have displayed their affection for Ronn with a tattoo of his face on their thigh! And this fan was only 26 years old, which has been surprising. Seems we have been seeing younger fans gracing the shows that have been watching Ronn on B&B most of their lives! We even had a female fan who came all the way from Malaysia for the Melbourne show and told us that Player has many fans there as well.
Our tour manager Stu has been taking really great care of us backstage as you can see on the Livestream I surprised you guys with last week. We have been treated to great food and company by our promoter Enza and Roy Ortuso and each and every Aussie we have met has been so warm and friendly. Ronn’s cousin Joan and her husband David made it to the Melbourne show and it was terrific to see her. I have a few friends of my own that will catch a show while we are here that I haven’t seen in a while also. Ronn’s very own BBQ Sauce is now available for orders on our DevRonn website and it comes in a mild and medium spicy gluten free flavor that you will just love!!
We had a blast at the Melbourne Cup and now everyone is talking about Ronn’s man bun as they like to call it when he was a guest on Rove’s show, “The Project” yesterday. Magazines “TV Weekly” and “New Idea” have talked about Ronn’s visit and Player appeared on the popular “Morning Show” with their live acoustic version of “Baby Come Back.” It seems the press can’t get enough of them and it has been a bit hectic this past week with the concerts and all the press, so these past couple of days has been nice and relaxing for all of us and much needed.
It’s so nice to really see the beautiful country of OZ up close and personal. We even got to see some Kangaroos in the wild on our drive into Canberra. Next week we will all visit the zoo together and get to see more. Since we have been here it’s been expressed countless times that the fans are not taking to the Nu-Ridge very well and Ronn is and always will be their one and only Ridgerido and that’s never going to change for them. We love the land of OZ and we are looking forward to the rest of the tour and want to visit more often!
This past week was a hectic one as we scrambled to prepare to head down under for a month. It was crazy busy for us because Ronn was shooting late days on “The Bay” as John Blackwell up until the day before we left home. So we didn’t get much sleep and there was so much to do before we left. I was busy putting the finishing touches to our newly revised DevRonn website in preparation for the launch of Ronn’s Kickass BBQ Sauce. There is still a bit more things I need to finalize before we can start taking orders and I will let you know when that is soon!
So as we continued to prepare to hang down under for the next month, I started to get excited about how much of an adventure our Australian stay would be for all of us. There are a lot of first time things that we are all doing down under. It will be Player’s first tour and it seems fans are super excited for them to hang down under with them! Ronn and I saw our first soccer game tonight as Sydney won against Mariner. It has been such lovely weather and I could see the excitement building as the friendly Aussies welcomed us with open arms.
Tomorrow we head down to Melbourne for the elite Melbourne Cup as guests of Emirates Airlines. And then we will meet the band back in Sydney to kick off the tour. The Aussies have been super sweet and they seem to have missed Ronn greatly. The concert is selling out and Ronn has been doing tons of press on a daily basis. New Idea magazine came out last week and this week Player will go on “The Morning Show” to sing “Baby Come Back” live. It’s so beautiful to see the reaction to fans here in OZ, they are just so genuine and down to earth. I have met so many amazing women and men who have a real admiration for Ronn and who seem super excited to see the concert!
Baby Come Back is now running in a Toyota commercial and has been for the past three years, so it made sense to kick off this tour down under. There is also a horse named after Ronn running in the Melbourne Cup and as guests of the Emirates Airlines we are proud to be here and looking forward to a great day! So far hanging down under has been nothing but fun and we are having a blast! I know the tour will be a slam dunk kickass fun time for everyone and can’t wait to share lots of pics and videos with you guys! Who knows I may just surprise you with a livestream soon! In the meantime, stay tuned for the launch of Ronn’s Kickass BBQ Sauce and more amazing surprises!!
So I’m finally feeling the sense of cool change in the weather and thought we needed to do some cool changes to our websites. It has been a while since Ronn’s site has had a makeover and was a way overdue. I felt like most of our websites needed a bit of something and wanted to make sure you are all with us in spirit if not in person on the OZ tour!
I can’t believe we leave just before Halloween so we will miss all the awesome parties around here, but we will be going to the prestigious Melbourne Cup! Apparently, there is a horse named after Ronn and it’s quite like our Kentucky Derby, so I must now decide on a hat to wear. There is a cool change coming to “The Bay” and we know how much you all are in love with the one and only John Blackwell. As producers on the already hit web series, I can tell you that these will be amazing chapters and there will also be a new music video of Ronn’s single, “Addiction” and all will be out before Christmas!
Ronn has a cool change coming with his very own “Ronn’s Kickass BBQ Sauce!” And when we say “Kickass” we mean it! This sauce is great with our “Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning” and we are already addicted to it in our household. It’s also made in Louisiana and has a sweet and spicy flavor that is also Gluten-Free! I hope you guys are enjoying the newest interview on Woman to Woman featuring Shauna O’Brien and her gorgeous organic garden. She and Kelly Emberg have inspired me so much in that area, so we are looking forward to more from our own organic garden. Since our health is indeed the most important thing, I do hope you all stay safe from the flu and that scary Ebola, but please do not live in fear over it!
Ronn and I drink warm lemon water each day as a cleanse and natural boost to our immune system. We highly recommend it, especially now. I want to be strong and healthy to get through the OZ tour and I’m hoping to see many of you down under. So get your tickets now! Player is performing at the “Last Chance For Animals” fundraiser Oct 25 and Shelter Hope Pet Shop just released its 2015 calendar featuring me. Both these animal rescue charities are wonderful ways to help our little furry friends find homes, medical care and love. So if you want to help please purchase a calendar or make a tax-deductible donation. I’m hoping cool changes are also coming your way and we hope to bring Player to a city near you soon!
It’s been a hectic time for both Ronn and I as we are dealing with many business related things before leaving for Player’s Australian tour. Ronn has been in the throws of editing a new Ronn’s Garage and putting together a visual presentation for his solo part of the OZ tour which has gotten a tremendously positive response. It’s apparent OZ loves Ronn and he loves those Aussies! So this should be a super fun tour and the first time Player will perform overseas, so the boys are really excited!
Player’s new drummer, Jimmy Carnelli is an expert diver and is looking forward to diving the Great Barrier Reef and I’m looking forward to meeting so many of you! Of course I will be blogging and doing Livestreams to keep everyone feeling like you are right there with us! Right now I’m just grateful for life’s little blessings that have been bestowed on us recently. In spite of the setbacks that I’m sure all of you can relate to in one way or another, sometimes setbacks are indeed life’s little blessings and a way to help us stay in gratitude.
Since our world’s economy has been in the toilet for quite some time, financial times have been trying and economic setbacks make living in our society a strain for many. One has to constantly evaluate their situation and prepare for the worst, yet hope for the best. It’s all we can do and my heart goes out to all who are in economic hard times right now. I think we can all relate to the suffering that is going on in our world and how it has a trickling effect on the masses. I have a section in my book, “True Age, Timeless Beauty” on finances and how to overcome the stress to keep things in balance.
Trust me, I can relate and know what I’m talking about because I’ve been there many times in my life and it’s during these hard times that life’s little blessings appear through these hurdles in ways you may not recognize at first glance. I’m saying this because I feel the pain of our world suffering when I read tweets and postings of others who are going through hard times.
Life’s little blessings can sometimes disguise itself as an obstacle and the timing could be leading you along a path that is to your benefit. Right now Ronn and I are dealing with such obstacles in many areas of life and they are turning into pure blessings. So I have learned to welcome the obstacles and merely deal with them with positiveness.
So in preparation for this Australian adventure we are about to embark on, we are also getting ready to do an exclusive photo shoot together for the magazine New Idea this week. We are also celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary! Geez it’s hard to believe 5 years have gone by this fast! And Ronn is doing a table reading with the cast of “The Bay” this week for their upcoming shoot! I have finally posted a Livestream chat for Tuesday and I’m working on some new surprises! Can’t tell you everything right now, but life’s little blessings are upon us in spite of all the obstacles.
This past week has been filled with important, but mundane paperwork that has been needed for various things before we get ready for the Player Australian tour in November.
It’s all been part of clearing the past to make our future a bit brighter and for our focus to be consistently more creative. I’ve found it hard to concentrate on creativity when dealing with paperwork involving business.
Nevertheless, we must sometimes focus on the mundane things in life if we are to keep things in balance. I try to do this in every area of our lives as much as possible. Thus, the inspiration for my book, “True Age, Timeless Beauty.”
When we clear the past of all things that aren’t needed or wanted, we make room for new things and tell the universe we are ready for a brighter future.
Ronn was swamped with press interviews from Australia, including an exclusive for the magazine, “New Idea.” He’s also very busy putting his musical set together for the solo portion of his upcoming Aussie tour. We also entertained friends from Belgium and Italy about possible projects relating to music and television.
In addition to that he is preparing to shoot new episodes of “The Bay” in October, as well as, preparing for other film and TV projects that are in development for next year.
It seems like this year has flown by so fast and we have been working so hard at making all the projects happen, but there is only so much time in a year. We did take some time out for fun with artist Michael Moebius, photographer Terry O’Neill and our introduction to the one and only Raquel Welch on her birthday.
Ronn also enjoyed presenting a best actor award to Daniel Baldwin at the Burbank International Film Festival last weekend. So we are finally enjoying some creative time at home this weekend.
I try and pay attention to things that are required in clearing the past even though some may be mundane because I know it’s the universe’s way of saying better things are coming as a result.
I want to congratulate Julie Wooldridge on winning an autographed copy of “True Age, Timeless Beauty” for subscribing to my Woman to Woman website and thank you all who continue to support my writings. I’m so happy the book has been a inspiration and have already begun a follow up to it that I believe with help change lives.
There is still a can of Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning to give away for subscribing to this blog so that you never miss another post!
I’m working on a FREE ebook of Gluten-Free recipes to give away soon! And we want an Aussie to get the chance to win dinner with Ronn and be featured on Ronn’s Garage! Details coming soon!
It seems clearing the past has already been bringing new and interesting things into our lives and Ronn has been asked to host a show called “Hot Package” for the cartoon network. We have also been asked to guest star on a new celebrity cooking show that will film this October, so I will keep you posted on that! In the meantime, we will post a new livechat this week, so stay tuned!
Ronn recently said he saw a great saying on Facebook that said, “Karma is only a bitch if you are.” I thought that was a fantastic saying and so profoundly true. I think you know me a bit better by now and know that I use the word bitch with humor most of time. Since I’m into animal rescue it kinda goes with that and I love to call my husband a dog, affectionately and also with humor. So he sometimes calls me a “bitch.” I know he means it affectionately depending on the tone of his voice.
However the phrase, “A Bitch Called Karma” I think has a different meaning and the timing of how karmic things happen and to whom they happen to and why, is what I mean by this phrase. There has been a lot of that karmic thing happening to many aspects of our lives both professionally and personally due to the choices we make in life.
Our decisions and choices play a big part on how karma works in our universe. “You reap what you sew” as the saying goes. Lately karmic timing has been playing a big part in our lives and the universal magic has been testing us with wonderful lessons. It is during these life lessons that I am feeling most grateful to learn from them and grow my soul. Life isn’t always unicorns and colored lights in a fantasy atmosphere, well maybe sometimes it is.
Life isn’t always about how successful you are in the world’s eyes, because as we know true success comes with happiness from within. This happiness is at it’s greatest when shared with others. It is sometimes during our greatest challenges that we learn our greatest lessons. And it is sometimes the journey of getting to your biggest goals that is the most exciting.
I’ve always had an adaptable personality regarding change. It didn’t matter where I lived or what I did as long as I felt happy and well, I could easily adapt to the change. Some people cannot do this and live their whole lives in fear of the unknown. How can you know what’s out there if you don’t reach out and explore?
It is usually fear holding us back and keeping us safe. Recent career choices have been a lot of trusting our inner gut and the universal energy to guide us. It has led both Ronn and I to sharing more of ourselves with you, and have led Ronn back to his roots with music. The past couple weeks has been hectic because Player’s new drummer has had to learn their whole set of songs and Peter Beckett is a perfectionist when it comes to the music. Ronn loves having the guys over and everyone usually stays overnight because of the long drive for Johnny. So this means lots of male bonding that includes, action movies and of course buckets of wine.
I don’t mind because the music these guys make together is magical and I’ve watched the evolution firsthand. They are all so talented and the music is so good that I never get tired of listening to them. I know our neighbors feel the same way. So I can bet that the upcoming Ramshead concert this Saturday will be most exciting. Women will be throwing their bras and panties to these guys and I can understand why!
I will be hanging out with some of my Playmate sisters at the Long Beach Glamourcon and am really looking forward to that. It’s been a long time and it’s okay to be apart sometimes in a marriage. Since we are both working and having fun doing the things we love.
It was a blast as usual to go to Hef’s famous “Midsummer Night Dreams” party. This year party had cirque du solei girls and “Pitbull” as the star entertainment. The party felt more like a gorgeous nightclub this year. It was obviously sponsored by “Patron” and had a more corporate feeling to it rather than the exclusive vibe of going to visit Hef at his home. Gone are those years never to be seen again. Playboy is now all about the brand. Hell we even got temporary tattoos of gold and silver bunnies on different parts of our bodies that we can’t take off now as a result of that evening! It was great to see a few familiar faces and to run into iconic Playmates like Ola Ray who still looks fabulous and is now blonde!
Getting back to that “Bitch called Karma,” I use that phrase to make a point of how things in our lives change sometimes for the best. However, the choices we make and we must make them constantly, can move us forward of backward depending on how we handle others. Both Ronn and I are extremely straightforward people who try and live our lives better tomorrow than we did today and always with love, respect and gratitude.
It’s nice to be back home after an awesome weekend in Atlanta to see Peter Beckett and Ronn join those smooth rockin guys of Yacht Rock Revueonstage. We were somewhat worried when we woke up last Saturday morning to a gray colored day that dropped endless raindrops on Piedmont Park. The concert had already presold 2600 tickets and wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to sell anymore given the look of the day.
But Robbie Dupree predicted the sun would shine that afternoon and the show would go, and he must be a psychic because he was absolutely right! They even ended up selling another 500 tickets at the door to a more than eager audience.
The evening had unexpected fireworks that seemed to coincided with the music, and the warm breezy air made everyone feel like they were on another planet where everyone was feeling as one. Love filled the air with a contagious energy of blissfulness, especially when Player sang, “Baby Come Back.” A bra flew up to hit Peter in the face and I’ve never seen young 20 something year old men and women scream so loud!
I started thinking it must be because of the anticipation of tomorrow’s airing of “Celebrity Wife Swap.” Seems word is getting around that Player will be featured and I know how excited everyone is to see them in their element at home the way I do all the time.
Ronn and I are so excited to have our friends who participated in Celebrity Wife Swap with us over to watch it with us, that we are making a viewing party out of it; and yes I’ll be cooking along with a few guest chefs that will help me out in the kitchen.
I know the show will be quite funny given the things I made Tyler Christopher do during the rule changes. And I know what Brienne Christopher did with my hubby, so the only thing that can spell to me is sheer entertainment. In fact, Ronn tweets to Tyler now, “Go ahead take my wife anytime you want, just make sure I get her back from time to time.”
I’m not sure if Tyler has continued any of my rule changes, but I know I had fun stepping into Brie’s shoes for those few days and I think she had just as much fun stepping into mine. However, I’m not sure how much fun it was for our husbands with what we put them through, but hey that’s marriage right?
One thing’s for certain, Brie got one of my delicious morning ronnuccinos shirtless! I think it made her blush a bit from the previews I’ve seen. Does that make me jealous? Not one bit, because what til you see what I got from her hubby? Thank God Brie had a great sense of humor because I think I would be in big trouble or then again she may be thanking me because of the things I taught him? So all I can say is you better not miss Celebrity Wife Swap Tuesday July 22nd on ABC to find out how it all goes down!
We hope you all are having a fabulous summer so far and that your forth of July was awesome! We spent ours at the Playboy mansion and saw Hef’s amazing display of fireworks, and now it’s back to work with a little bit of summer fun in between gigs. Speaking of gigs PLAYER has a couple of awesome gigs you won’t want to miss! Coming up in Atlanta on July 19th, they will be rockin and rollin with those polyester smooth rock boys of Yacht Rock Revuefor their big summer blowout at Piedmont Park. Joining them will be Pablo Cruise, Gary Wright and Robbie Dupree so this will be one concert party I am so looking forward to! PLAYER is also doing a concert in Annapolis, Maryland on August 23rd at the Rams Head and you can get your tickets for that one here.
You may also get to see PLAYER make a cameo on Celebrity Wife Swap which will air Tuesday July 22nd on ABC and this is going to be one fun show! I can’t tell you details, but I think you will laugh alot at all the fun we had! Player will be starting rehearsals soon for their upcoming Australian tour and I can’t wait for that! Get your tickets for the Aussie tour now! As you can see PLAYER is rockin and rollin it, and if you haven’t seen them in concert you are so missing out!
Ronn will be rockin and rollin when he shoots a new music video for his single “Addiction” in the next few days and he’s shooting an exclusive for an Australian magazine tomorrow and will be doing a special “Confessions” segment for “The Bay” also. I can’t wait until John Blackwell shoots the new chapter for “The Bay” because he is one bad dude who kicks ass!
I’m happy to announce that I’ll be making a rare autograph appearance at the “Glamourcon” Long Beach show August 23 & 24 with artist Jon Hulwho is painting a special series on me now. Artist Jim Ceravolo is also adding Ronn and I to a special series he’s painting, which will include our dogs. I’m hoping to have Romeo immortalized there with us in his gorgeous work. Don’t forget to subscribe to our blog here and websites to win FREE spices and a FREE audio book of “My Husband’s A Dog, My Wife’s A Bitch.” Winners will be announced in August!
