It still feels somewhat surreal that “The Bay” has won a forth Emmy as, “Best Digital Drama Series” and that win has broken a record because no other daytime drama has won four times in a row ever! And it was the first time our category was allowed to be viewed with the other remaining daytime dramas because for the past three years they had us only in the Creative Emmys. “The Bay” has grown tremendously over the past few years and our being on Amazon has helped many of our viewers binge watch the past three seasons! Ronn and I have been producers for the past four years and will add two more of these golden beauties to our home now giving the two of us eight Emmys so far!

Our Bay team has truly become part of our family and we couldn’t be more proud and grateful for all our Emmy wins thus far! So what is in store for season four? Well I can tell you that we shot our first remote shoot last year in Belgium, and John Blackwell will become a bit more interesting because we find out more of who he really is and he may even have a love interest. Ronn has been having fun playing John Blackwell because he really is so different from Ridge Forrester, so those of you who are missing seeing him on television, now is the time to go and binge on “The Bay” and find out what you have been missing!

There were three new categories that opened up this year for digital dramas, Best Director, Best Guest Star, and Best Writing, along with, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Digital Drama. We nearly swept all of these categories with the exception of Best Writing and Best Actress which went to the series, “Zack and Mia.” It seems “The Bay” has been the pioneer in Digital Drama for Daytime and I feel this is the direction all of the remaining network shows are now headed. Many other digital dramas are popping up with other daytime stars in them, but none are as dramatic or cinematic as “The Bay.” It’s easy to see the passion that our executive producer, writer, director and creator, Gregori J. Martin has and why it’s been so successful and we are so proud that he was the first to win Best Director in this new category. Congratulations to Kristos Andrews who took home Best Actor, Jade Harlow for Best Supporting Actress, Eric Nelson for Best Supporting Actor and Patrika Darbo for Best Guest Star and congratulations to all our nominees! This win was truly special for all of us and I think a game changer in digital drama!

45th Annual Daytime Emmys Outstanding Digital Drama Series

It seems like this past decade has been a struggle for most people we know all over the world. There has been major unrest, division and economic pitfalls that many of us have been constantly complaining of from all corners of the earth. However, all we can do is anticipate hope and change that each year will be better than the last. I’ve always been more of an optimist and believe in my heart that 2018 will bring about that hope that we have all been wanting for so long to finally become a reality. Personally, I’ve been seeing the changes in many of our friends, some of these changes have not been so good and some have been great. We all have our own life journey and life is for us to enjoy. That’s what Ronn and I vow to do each and every day moving forward, enjoy life! If you think about it, the simple things in life is what really brings us the most joy. Cuddling with your dog or cat, having wonderful meals with friends and spending quality time with loved ones.

It’s funny how the most simple things in life can warm your heart and create beautiful memories that we can cherish forever.  It seems the older we get the more simplified we want our lives to become. We revert back to being childlike in many ways both spiritually, mentally and physically even. Many of us are taking care of our parents now and watching the changes that happen with them in these areas. And many of us have lost loved ones who have made an impact on our lives. I can’t tell you how often I find myself forgetting what I thought was so important to say to Ronn in any given moment or how fast time seems to be passing by each year. This tells me that life is fleeting and we must stop and enjoy each and every moment it is offering us. Even the bad times are teaching us something and yet life is still so beautiful in spite of the pitfalls we may be enduring. Nothing is worth giving up a dear friend who has been a major part of your life or holding onto a grudge or anger. You are only hurting yourself in the end and hopefully by the end of your life you will only feel love and happiness, for that really is what life is all about.

Since we have been in Rome spending quality time with our dear friend, Lavinia Biagiotti, we have been speaking of these kinds of things alot. Lavinia lost her mother Laura earlier this year and is an only child, so spending quality time with loved ones is near and dear to her heart, especially now. We were happy to discover a fun art exhibition called, “Enjoy.” Ronn and I were coincidentally introduced to the world’s first 3D sound meditation, called “Synctuition” by a guy in Estonia. And I had been listening to the meditation program each night, which made me sleep so much better. It turned out that I had just listened to one track that kept saying the phrase, “Enjoy life.” I was sharing this at lunch with Lavinia when her uncle suggested we see this “Enjoy” art exhibition that basically had the same concept. The simple things are meant for us to enjoy, whether its the contagious sound of laughter, funny unpredictable moments that are big or small, or anything that makes us smile and feel the essence of being childlike again. We spend way too much time worrying over things we cannot change, or trying to control people who don’t want change. It’s time wasted and energy focused on things that don’t really matter, all we need to do is simply enjoy life!

So as we anticipate 2018, we will take this simple concept with us and try to make each moment count with joy and laughter. We hope to inspire you to do the same for life is way too short and there is nothing else more important. We plan to continue to follow our God given talents and move forward with positive people, love and anything that brings us more joy and happiness. We are finding the more we do this the more of this life brings us. So take the time to let go of all the struggles from the past and know there are brighter days ahead. Deal with the bad things one by one in knowing these things are only temporary and will soon pass and better days are waiting for you to enjoy. Take the time to focus and set goals on only what brings you joy and happiness and all else will fall into place eventually. Enjoy life!

After an intense week of shooting “The Bay” we wrapped last Friday and I can honestly say; it will be the best season ever to look forward to! Ronn had a blast with John Blackwell and I think we will look forward to adding more Emmys to our mantel next year!

With Summer just around the corner, it was time for some Barbeques and that meant having a few friends over to celebrate the season finale of “Game of Thrones.” I kinda wasn’t feeling it most of the season and didn’t really enjoy it until I saw the last two episodes. The finale was an excuse for some of the die- hard watchers to come over to eat some meat and drink some wine. Ronn has his own goblet with a dragon on it, so he was pumped and ready!

This month is also my birthday, so we decided to do one of our Potluck Jam Parties so that we can visit with many of our friends before Player starts their tour with Little River Band and Ambrosia. This will be a great way to kick off celebrating summer because there is nothing like great food and friends hanging out by the pool with barbeques and great music!

Ronn and I enjoyed meeting author, Charles Dubow of the novel, “Girl In The Moonlight” at the home of my pal, Tina Hillstrom and it was also there that Ronn was presented with an original painting of John Lennon, compliments of artist, Josee Nadeau. If you recall, Josee was a guest on “Ronn’s Garage.” So we are looking forward to more gatherings this summer with friends as Player embarks on their tour, maybe at a city near you? In the meantime, you can keep up with us by subscribing to this blog or following us on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.

We hope you will celebrate summer with your friends and family and a little bit of DevRonn at your next barbeque, because that’s what summer is really all about, right?

Man On Fire is the new single from Player’s “Too Many Reasons” CD and they have just released a new video, which includes scenes from the upcoming 411 movie. Now 411 won’t be completed until next year because Ronn has so many projects in various countries and an upcoming Australian tour for Player. I guess you can say he is truly a “Man on Fire” these days.

Ronn Moss

Player just honored music legend Smokey Robinson at the House of Blues Saturday night and helped raised one million dollars for the mental health of our troops. They were joined by Aussie Guy Sebastian, Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr and Taylor Dayne singing Smokey’s most famous songs. Player sang “Tracks of My Tears” and it’s so good that they are now recording it!

This week Ronn will debut as former District Attorney, John Blackwell on the acclaimed series, The Bay as they launch their new season. The Bay Series has been a hit on the Internet and now will have longer episodes and soon will be going to television. John Blackwell may become an ongoing character and the new episode will air May 1st.

Clara & Ronn

We had a lovely Easter celebration at the Playboy mansion with pop artist Michael Moebius and Swedish artist Clara Hallencreutz who is just as gorgeous as she is talented. It was a lovely day filled with sunshine and an exotic petting zoo of animals that included lots of bunnies, miniature ponies and owls. We have just completed our audio version of our humorous relationship book, “My Husband’s A Dog, My Wife’s A Bitch” and it will be up on Amazon in the next few days.

In the meantime, enjoy the new video of Man On Fire and know that I will keep you posted on Player’s upcoming tour dates, as well as, details of our new adventures around the world!

Slumber party

I had a slumber party with several other Playmates from the 1980s celebrating the 50th birthday of Playmate Alana Soares thrown by her sister Leilani Soares.   We had such a great time laughing and telling past stories with Playmates, Ava Fabian, Cathy St. George, Kimberly Paige, Roberta Vasquez, Lynn Austin and Debi Johnson. Some of these girls I hadn’t seen in decades and few of them flew in from other states just to surprise Alana.

There is a sorority like sister bond that goes with girls who have posed for Playboy, at least from our era and it felt like we had gone back in time except for talking about men and parties, we now talk about kids and health. We giggled so much that I had to take a nap before heading to the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge to meet famed photographer Terry O’Neill and artist Michael Moebius for dinner.

Me. Terry O'Neil & Keiko

Terry O’Neill was the first photographer to photograph Sir Elton John, The Beatles and the Rolling Stones, so Ronn was very excited to meet him and we are attending an exhibition of his work this week at the Mouche Gallery in Beverly Hills. Terry was also married to actress Faye Dunaway and now lives in London, so the history alone is exciting to Ronn because as you know he loves photography, music and Ronn’s father was from England.

We are catching up on so many projects before we leave for the Player and Yacht Rock Revue rock cruise to the Bahamas this week. And I will not be taking my computer or be online so you guys will just have to miss us for a few days. When we return I am finalizing a documentary I am producing on the pinup from a pinup’s point of view and Player will perform at a wonderful charity called “Songs Of Love.”

Devin

Songs of Love is special because musicians write individual songs for children with terminally ill diseases. Watch the 60 minutes video above for more information or click on the invite if you’d like to attend or donate to this wonderful cause.  Check out the newly redesigned makeover of my personal website where you can find this blog and everything else on me all in one place. Special thanks to our web designer Gea who is now working on a redesign of Ronn’s site as well.

Songs of Love Invite

2014 is off to a great start for us as we each use our God given talents and start painting our artistic endeavors. Ronn kicked off this year with the Yacht Rock Revue boys at the House of Blues and did a new Ronn’s Garage on them. He got a new camera and will be taking some killer pictures of me for some artistic endeavors of my own.

Seems like more and more producers are contacting me for future film roles. I have a drama and a possible psychological thriller for this year that I may do. There is also that relationship book that Ronn and I are trying to get out to you by Valentine’s Day! We have the upcoming Thalian’s charity event honoring Smokey Robinson at the House of Blues with Player in April and that cruise to the Bahamas next month with Player and the Yacht Rock Revue.

Devin & Kira at Yacht Rock concert

Some other artistic endeavors include my upcoming partnership in opening a fashion and modeling school with a renowned Italian designer. I may also be the reporter for red carpet events for the fashion channel and may even do some speaking engagements around the world. Since I won’t be plagued with anymore illness and hope to have lots of energy; my future artistic endeavors will include more travel, writing, appearances, acting, producing and maybe even some modeling. Oh and let’s not forget cooking!

I am thrilled to be a part of “American Food Battle” in Finland and that should air next month. More livestream videos are coming from me in this area, as well as, DevRonn chats and Woman To Woman interviews.

Angie Everhart

Right now, Ronn is reading scripts and planning the upcoming 411 movie projects, which is now a trilogy. Angie Everhart is his sexy co-star and the second 411 will film in Italy. So he’s trying to get all of his projects for this year scheduled to block out time to focus on his directorial debut with these 411 films.

We re planning to go to the Netherlands, Australia and hopefully back to Finland and Italy in the coming months for various projects that are formulating. And I’m proud to see my brother and pop pinup artist Michael Moebius doing so well with his artistic endeavors. Seems he’s got all of Hollywood interested in his art now including, Rhianna, Paris Hilton and of course Playboy.

Michael Moebius

I’m almost recovered from my surgery and slowly getting back to my normal routine. I am producing a documentary this year also on the Playmate in honor of Playboy’s 60th birthday and will start producing a documentary on Player later this year! So stay tuned for much much more from DevRonn and many other surprises!

As you all know we went to Finland last month for Ronn  to do a secret project that had all of the Finns guessing. We now know that the first of this series has been released and we are able to talk about the experience we had doing this wonderful, creative project. Ronn was hired by Veikkaus known for their lottery commercials that run with many of Finland’s athletes.  They decided to do a series with some of their most famous athletes portraying characters in “Game Of Emotions.”

pix2

“Game Of Emotions” will continue to release other segments online and on TV in Finland as an ongoing campaign for their lottery. Apparently, Finland has never seen their athletes as actors and with each segment ending with Ronn as their long lost father, the drama will continue to unfold into even more hilarious segments that will have you on the floor laughing. This shoot went so well and was so fun that it kept all of us laughing on the set and we could feel this was indeed a winner!

So I’m sure as it continues to unfold you will see a different side of those Finnish athletes and a different side of Ronn in this satire of a serial drama that was so cleverly done in an ad campaign for the Finland lottery. “Game of Emotions” is unlike anything Finland has seen in TV ads. As we move into our own sports season with football, Finland moves into soccer and ice skating, so having their familiar athletes portray characters like this is very comical and unusual for them to see.

pix6

We are hoping that “Game of Emotions” will be enjoyed this season as much as we all enjoyed the making of it. And we hope to have any excuse to visit our beloved Finns again!

“Being Normal Is Boring” is a phrase that has been attached to German Artist, Michael Moebius’ painting of Marilyn Monroe blowing a pink bubble gum. This image is on everything from T-shirts, to iphone cases and has garnered alot of attention for Moebius. So much so, that “Glamour” magazine has featured it in it’s Hollywood issue with Jennifer Aniston on the cover.

I’ve known Michael now for nearly 13 years and was his first model. It was easy to recognize his immense talent and wonderful to see how much he’s grown. It’s safe to say, “Being Normal Is Boring” indeed and Michael is far from normal and certainly not boring. He’s been like a brother to me and it’s been nice to spend some quality time together since Ronn is away on tour.

IMG_2932bsIMG_2944sws

We went to see Helmut Newton’s photography exhibition and it has inspired Michael to do a series of Marilyn paintings in black and white, as well as, a new Audrey Hepburn Tiffany bubble gum painting that I absolutely love. Playboy is now featuring a five page article on his work and magazines such as, “Robb Report” and Cosmopolitan are also featuring his work. He’s now planning an art exhibition of his own this fall in Beverly Hills.

DSCF3982s

As you know Ronn featured him on “Ronn’s Garage” earlier this year and I’m sure you can now see that Michael Moebius is a shooting star in his own right. I’m very proud of him and love that “Being Normal Is Boring” and hope that you guys will continue to follow his career.

As we gear up to start shooting the movie 411, we kick it off on April 1st with a Player video shoot and we are looking for people to come and hang out with us that day onset. The 411 movie is a thriller with lots of twists and turns. Ronn plays, James Ivory the hottest action star on television who moonlights as a rock star. In this scene James Ivory is filming a music video and connects with a hot girl in the audience who mysteriously turns up dead after the concert leading detectives to wonder if James Ivory is the one who killed her. So if you want to have some fun on April 1st when we shoot this scene, email me at missjune85@yahoo.com and send me a picture. We would love to have as many of you as possible help us celebrate Ronn’s debut as a director on our first day of shooting 411.

It has been a most relaxing enjoyable vacation for all of us and a very memorable one for us as a family. We have been made to feel at home with the Biagiotti and the Di Vaira families and it was a very emotional goodbye to all for now. The girls have experienced Italy in a very unique way, both the traditional Roman way and the traditional Tuscan way of life. We want to thank everyone who help us feel so at home in both Bolgheri and Roma. The beautiful dinners, private tours and loving hospitality will endure in our memory for a lifetime. We have made so many wonderful friends along the way, learned so much about wine, food and art and taken away gorgeous memories of the countryside and their culture. So we say arrivederci for now, but we know we will be back to our second home very soon. I will continue to study Italian so that I am speaking more fluently next time. Ronn is loved more than ever in Italy and loves Italy more than ever, so this love affair will continue I’m sure for years to come. It will feel good now to be back home with the animals and our friends who we have missed so much from all our traveling during the past few months.

We left Roma for the quiet of the countryside a couple of days ago and went to spend some time in the ancient 1000 year old castle of designer Laura Biagiotti. It sits on 444 acres that includes it’s own amazing golf course. After having lunch with Lavinia Biaigotti, we play a game of 9 holes on the green. Lavinia got a hole in one on the first hole and thus a competition started with Ronn to see who would win. Lavinia got a hole in one on the 9th hole and thus won!  I’ll post some funny video of it later. The girls got a private golf lesson and drove the golf carts around, while I went back to the castle to study some more Italian. Then we were introduced to the Italian Easter tradition of breaking giant chocolate eggs for a surprise inside. Unlike easter baskets filled with jelly beans and colored eggs, everyone gives their friends and family a giant chocolate egg with just about anything you can imagine inside. We had fun with this process and the girls got little necklaces. Ronn got a little box that he put some beautiful gold earrings in, a gift from Laura. It was sad to say goodbye to everyone at the castle and journey on by train to Florence. Ronn wanted to introduce Michelangelo’s “David”  to the girls. Even though I had seen it before, the 17 foot tall statue never ceases to impress. I think Ronn looks alot like the David now that he’s in such great shape from dancing. We then met Sara Di Vaira and her husband who took us to a little town called,” Buti” near Pisa. We had the most amazing Tuscan dinner on Good Friday. Fresh mussels, clams and squid, pasta ravioli with truffle sauce, spaghetti with rabbit and penne pasta. Then Ronn and I had a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our hotel room, so we had to celebrate going to see the leaning tower of Pisa today. We will continue on through the beautiful Tuscan countryside and visit some vineyards, including the Di Vaira winery and spend Easter with Sara’s family.  Hope you all are having a wonderful Easter weekend. Will post more pics and video later.

Our vacation so far has been very relaxing and the weather has been fabulous! Just what the doctor ordered for Ronn, weather that is in primavera and not too hot or cold. A trip to the Spanish Steps, The Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain was the start of our first day. Walking around Rome was grand and it was funny for the girls to see how many teenagers wanted photos and autographs with their daddy. . Our dear friends Laura and Lavinia Biagiotti hosted us in their apartment near the spanish steps, which was in the center of everything. Our wonderful guide Isabella toured us around the city as we walked all day long. We had the most fabulous homemade pasta, steamed artichokes and of course vino rosso. Our second day has been another private tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel, compliments of our friend Loreto. Our neighbors Steve and Sue and their kids were in Rome for a short while during a cruise and joined us on the tour and then we had a fabulous lunch. The girls then opted to walk around some more with Ronn, while I came back to blog and rest up for dinner. We decided to take the girls today to the Villa Borghese and had a private tour of Caravaggio’s amazing work and the President’s Palace before having dinner with Actress Nancy Brilli and her husband Roy. Plans changed and we decided to rest in the castle of Laura Biagiotti tomorrow before heading by train to Florence to see the “David.” There are so many people that we have decided to go to Venice after Easter. We will complete our Roman Holiday with one last day in Roma before heading home next week.
