This shares my very own version of “Tomato Basil Soup.” I figured if a person is vegan, on a diet or just want to have a soup, this will be a good one. This is so quick, easy and simple. I love Tomato Basil Soup especially when the weather cold, soup is great. I love to make soup and salads. This will have no cream for vegan’s out there. But if you do want to add some, it is possible; like cream, cheese, or croutons. People can use any tomatoes but I personally prefer to use sweet tomatoes. Because I like my tomato basil soup to have a little bit of sweetness. We will go over the ingredients and you will see that I like to put different types of tomatoes in this soup. They are great anti-oxidants.
Ingredients:
1 bowl Cherry Tomatoes
3 pieces large Roma tomatoes
1 big White Onion
Few cloves of Fresh Garlic
Basil leaves
Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning
Vegetable Broth (100% Natural)
Procedure:
1.) Chopped the three kinds of tomatoes, white onion and fresh cloves of garlic.
2.) Preheat the pot, and put some olive oil. Saute chopped onion and garlic until it sizzles and gives a pleasant smell.
3.) As soon as it starts to sizzle and smell, add the tomatoes. Put the Roma tomatoes first and let it simmer. Soften the Roma tomatoes and season it with Devin’s kickass Cajun Seasoning.
4.) When the Roma tomatoes are fully softened, add cherry tomatoes. Season it with kickass Cajun again until the desired taste is achieved. Then, add the basil leaves.
5.) Now, apply the kitchen hand grinder to the tomatoes (or you can use food processor) to achieve the right consistency that you want.
6.) Add the broth not too much. Put only enough for the desired number of people that will eat. And if you want to add cream or other dairy items, you can now. Grind it again until the desired consistency is reached and the ingredients are equally mixed. Garnish the tomato basil soup and serve it while hot.
