We appreciate all your concerns for our safety due to the fires surrounding us. But please note LA is very spread out and it always looks much worst than it is on the news. They tend to zoom in on what’s burning, which makes it look like LA is on fire and in fact it’s a small area. You can rest assure I would post asap if there was a reason to be concerned. We cannot smell smoke where we are, which is good and it seems they have gotten a better handle on it over night while the weather was cooler. In California we are always at risk during the Santa Anas season with winds and hot temperatures and a brush fires could occur anywhere. But that’s the price we pay for having sunshine most of the time I guess. It truly is a pain in the butt when these fires break out and a good reason to be concerned for the safety of animals and structures, but as you can see LA firefighters are very good and have had lots of experience fighting these fires. They really are heroes and brave, amazing men. It’s suppose to be very hot today, but not as windy as yesterday and cooling down tomorrow into the weekend, so I’m optimistic that this fire will be contained by tomorrow.
