Ronn and I are looking forward to going to a couple of parties this weekend. A neighbor is having a BBQ bash tonight and you can see an awesome wireworks display from their deck. After entertaining two weekends in a row of movie nights, it’s safe to say they are a big success. Cooking for a dozen friends is a lot easier on me and give Ronn and I chance to talk to our friends. Jam parties are fun, but having a hundred or so people coming through the house makes it difficult to say more than two words to anyone. So smaller gatherings are more along the lines of what we want to continue for a while. Tomorrow we are going to the Playboy mansion for fun in the sun and Hef’s amazing fireworks. Apparently, he got a slip and slide this year and the BBQ is sooo yummy! The city of Los Angeles approves this amazing fireworks display that is always tops and it really is the place to be on the 4th. Hef didn’t do a 4th of July party last year, so we are really looking forward to it this year! Ronn and I are starting to really enjoy our pool with the girls and friends, so this Wednesday I’m celebrating my birthday with a bunch of my girlfriends with a poolside Birthday brunch. Since I was in Vegas and couldn’t celebrate with Tina, Cindy and all the great gals I know and love to party with; It was only an excuse to have an annual reunion. A lot of the girls were anxious to get together ever since the wedding festivities last year ended. Many of you have been emailing me on my website asking for autographed photos and inquiring how to send me items to sign. You may send anything you wish me to sign along with a self addressed stamped envelope and $20 cash per signature to 1336 Moorpark Rd #326, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360. I hope you all understand it is impossible to send everyone who asks Ronn or I for photos. The postage alone for such requests would make us homeless, especially since B&B is the most watched show in the World! It’s simply impossible!! So PLEASE stop sending such requests because you will not get any response. If you would like autographed photos you can purchase them on our websites or through EBAY. That’s why they are there. If you have a magazine, article or anything you wish for us to sign, you must do as I’ve stated already and send $20 cash per signature along with your self address stamped envelope to the address above. The reason this is required is so that other people cannot make a profit from our signature on EBAY. The Internet is a wonderful tool that allows us all to communicate more effectively. In the past your letters of requested photos didn’t stand a chance to even being seen by a celebrity, now because of the websites it’s possible to do so and get your requests met. But, we must all be realistic and know that postage isn’t cheap and many such requests are possible directly from celebrities, but it won’t be free, it’s simply not possible because there are thousands of you and only one of Ronn and I. With all that said, I hope you all have an amazing 4th of July and eat some yummy BBQ, stay out of trouble and see some great fireworks. July is always a super busy month for Ronn and I with parties, charity events and kids. It always seems like the summer just flies by huh? We are looking forward to sharing more pics and videos from our upcoming parties and events with you here and on our website!!

Vegas marked the first time the Daytime Emmys was held there and I don’t think it will be the last. The Hilton hotel hosted the event with a bevy of stars and fans. Ronn presented a special part of the CBS presentation of “Feed the Children”, a charity that helps American homeless families and Veterans. We visited the LA mission where Ronn interviewed a family with 5 little girls all living in one room. The father lost his job over a year ago, along with their home and all their belongings.  Their 7 month old baby girl was born in the shelter, it was heartbreaking to see this type of homelessness is a realty in our country and we want to do all we can to help!  The production of the Daytime Emmys was different, moved a lot quicker and was more entertaining. A tribute to Dick Clark brought a tear to everyone’s eyes. I met Dick Clark years ago and he told me he voted for me in the finals on Star Search and PLAYER was on American Bandstand with their hit song, “Baby Come Back” in 1978, so Dick is very special to us. We were doing the twist with Chubby Checker and The Bold and The Beautiful won their second “Best Drama” award! I predicted to Brad Bell who was sitting right next to us that he would win again and to get that speech ready at the beginning of the show. Drew Tyler Bell won along with the B&B writing team, so it was a Bell night and a much deserved one. The after parties were amazing. We toured the remodeled ELVIS suite which was 16,000 sq ft and met Marie Osmond, Susan Lucci and Tony Orlando. Then we headed to the B &B/ Y & R bash at the Wynn hotel’s Tryst club. It was the coolest place and everyone danced their asses off all night long! Needless to say, Ronn and I were completely exhausted and got only a couple hours sleep. We believe the Daytime Emmys should be combined with the Prime time Emmys now. Because of the Internet, the networks need to realize how dumb it is to separate the two and the fans love to see all the stars that have been a part of their lives for decades. It’s time for them to wake up to the 21st century and get with the program here. Perhaps from this year’s broadcast they will finally know how loyal and devoted the daytime fans are and how necessary it is to to combine the two Emmys. Here are some highlights from the show.

We kicked off our first dinner/movie night with great success. Ronn and I have a 12 seat movie theater and we love to watch movies with the girls. So far, the kids have used the theater to entertain their friends with movies more than us!  So this marks the first time in the three years we have lived in our home that we have filled our movie theater. As you know, Ronn’s busy schedule has made it nearly impossible to entertain that much and now that we have some time, we wanted to share our passion for movies with our friends. So we started with the band and their wives, along with a few dear friends to watch one of our favorite movies, “Arthur” with Dudley Moore. I cooked red beans and rice, Cajun jambalaya pasta, along with  salad, fresh fruit, baked cookies, strawberry cheesecake and wine to make sure the boys were happy enough to play a few songs. I now call the garage the “Moss Lounge” cause that what it feels like in there.
We were all dancing to the music the band was playing and having a blast. After the movie, we hung out around the firepit and told funny stories before calling it a night. I think this will be the start of other smaller gatherings that we will do on an ongoing basis now. I’m already planning the next one in July!

This is from our recent trip to the cutest little town called Bulgheri in Tuscany, Italy. We stayed in Bulgheri after I finished Ballando con le Stelle (Dancing with the Stars) and went to spend some time visiting my Italian dance partner, Sara Di Vaira, and her wonderful family. Sara grew up in this special scenic town. In this clip, we’re meeting Illia. She’s 92 years young. She’s the oldest person in Bulgheri and, as you can see, probably the most spry as well.[wpvideo 9dnenMkm]

It’s hard to believe almost half the year is gone! Seems like yesterday we celebrating New Year’s Eve in Rome and Ronn was embarking on the Ballando challenge. Now that it’s all behind us, we have been focusing on our home and getting it into shape for summer parties. We plan to host a variety of smaller themed dinner parties, movie nights and BBQs of course. Everyone is now asking me about the next Jam party and I know we will have one, just not sure when or where?  Seems between friends, kids and neighbors, everyone wants to Jam with Ronn and the band now. I just can’t handle hundreds of people and kids running around my home, so I’m thinking of doing a charity event that will help boost “Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning” and really help New Orleans. It just makes me so sad to see the devastation that my home state has endured. I know everyone ran to the rescue of the Haiti victims, including us, but folks we have major problems here in our own backyard to deal with and New Orleans needs your help! Ronn and I created this spice that is manufactured in Louisiana to help in a small way that we hope becomes large for this reason. We all need to do our part to preserve that area of the United States and it seems so little is being done down there? I urge you all to help us help the gulf by buying a spice and spreading the word to your friends, or buying one to give to someone as a gift. BBQ season is here and anyone who has tried the spice knows it’s amazing! So please do your part of help us help New Orleans. We are giving proceeds from the spice to Brad Pitt’s, ‘Make it Right” foundation who is already doing so much to help down there. Also, if you want to see Ronn on Dancing with the Stars here in the US, please join this facebook page#mce_temp_url# to show your support. It seems ABC has never had anyone under contract on another network on the show. So with your support we can possibly change this dumb rule they have had in the past because with the Internet anything is possible right?  Ronn and are planning to have a quiet Memorial Day weekend at home with the girls in gratitude for the men and women who died for our freedom. We wish you all a safe and great weekend.

Because so many of you have been asking for this recipe that I made up yesterday, I’ve decided to blog and post it. Really did come out delicious! I don’t use measuring utensils so you must use your own taste buds to estimate.

1 large Spaghetti Squash
1 large onion
3-4 cloves fresh garlic
3-6 small cans of chicken broth
fresh rosemary
real bacon bits
olive oil
milk

Take a spaghetti squash and put it in the oven or microwave for a few minutes to soften it. Chop an onion and a few cloves of fresh garlic and get a few cans of chicken broth. Poke the squash with a fork to see if it’s tender and then take it out and let it cool for a few minutes. Cut it in half and scoop out the seeds. Season to your liking, I of course use my spice and put face down on a cookie sheet back into the oven for 1/2 hour. Then simmer the chopped onion and garlic in a couple of Tablespoons of olive oil til tender and add the chicken broth. Take the Spaghetti squash out of the over and with a fork take out the inside so it comes out like spaghetti.

Add the squash to the broth and the fresh rosemary and bacon bits. I estimate how much depending on my taste buds. Add a dash of milk to thicken and simmer for 20 minutes stirring frequently. Then puree’ in a blender a little at a time and put back to simmer for another 15 minutes. Add a little fresh rosemary and bacon bits for garnish and serve with garlic bread. So yummy!

I just love spring time, seeing all the beautiful colorful flowers in bloom and the sunshine makes my heart sing like the birds. It also makes me want to clean out all the old stuff and allow the universe space to bring in new things. It’s been that way for me for years and seems to work. I use to hold onto everything and never wanted to part with anything. I found out that was not a good way to be. It happen for me when I had to clean out a garage that had a pile full of stuff when I moved into a new home. Sound familiar? I cried, laughed and threw away most of what was in there because I was starting fresh and clean into a new place with new memories. So I vowed to never let things pile up like that again. Especially after so many new and wonderful things started entering my life as a result of finally letting go of the past ones. It seems the older we get, the more STUFF that accumulates and is it really worth hanging onto? I figure alot of less fortunate people could use some of the STUFF I have such as clothes I haven’t worn in years, electronics that I don’t use anymore or anything that is just taking up space and collecting dust. Those things could be someone else’s treasures right now. So that’s my philosophy behind spring cleaning now. I love to reorganize my office and closet so that I can see the things I love and want to wear and keeping the office organized makes business move a lot more effectively in my opinion. I know exactly where to find receipts, etc. There is a place for everything and everything has a place. I’ve tried to get Ronn to adopt this behavior and he seems into it now. I ask him, “Do you really need 25 guitars?” He finally  sees that it’s best to keep the special ones and let the others go, so can we say EBAY? Our neighborhood is having a huge garage sale that we are all getting ready for next week, so I’m thrilled that the garage will be cleaned out and more organized. He’s also going through his closet and parting with the many leather jackets and scarves that he has collected over the last many years! This was all his idea folks! I guess he has watched me for the past few years do this and he sees the results that it brings. Trust me letting out the old stuff allows in the new stuff that could be much better for you today. Try it and I think you will see a tremendous change occur in your life.

Last weekend was a blast of fun for Ronn and I when we participated in a celebrity gun shooting tournament that benefited our troops and Veterans. The event took place in Ojai and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. We were in good company with some old friends like Erik Estrada, Tristan Rogers and some of the cast members from “The Young and The Restless.” There were some real sharp shooters in the Sporting Clays competition, pistol and trap shoots. Who knew that “The Beaver” Jerry Mathers would be taking home the highest honors? Robert Carradine was on our team and Ronn did some pretty impressive shooting to say the least. I shot very well in the pistol competition, but we all need to practice a little harder for next year to beat the “Beaver!” The NRA put on this event along with “Associated Television” who is also doing the Daytime Emmys for CBS this year in Las Vegas! These guys did last year’s Emmys and do a first class event always. Everything was fabulous and Ronn and I can’t wait until the next one. We really had a blast and I want to practice my shooting for next year. Who knows, maybe I can give the Beav a little competition?

Ronn and I are heading to Vancouver this weekend to visit a dear friend of mine who has been ill. His name is David Chan and he was a Playboy photographer for over 30 years. A native of Vancouver, David lived and worked in Chicago most of his career until his health declined in recent years. I haven’t seen him in 6 years and am excited to introduce him to Ronn. He is 80 years old now, has trouble walking and hearing, but is still the same sweet wonderful man he’s always been. I credit David for discovering me when I was attending LSU back in 1981 and he shot my first appearance in Playboy. David has never been married or has children, so we sort of adopted each other a long time ago and he truly has been like a father to me. I visited Vancouver once many years ago when I spent Christmas with David and his family. He had a lot of brothers and sisters back then who have since passed away, so I really want him to know that he has me. Ronn has never been to Vancouver, which is truly beautiful, so I’ll post pictures of our stay later. Here is an article from People magazine that I found from 1988 that tells you a little bit about David and this was pretty much how he discovered the pinup in me.

It has been a most relaxing enjoyable vacation for all of us and a very memorable one for us as a family. We have been made to feel at home with the Biagiotti and the Di Vaira families and it was a very emotional goodbye to all for now. The girls have experienced Italy in a very unique way, both the traditional Roman way and the traditional Tuscan way of life. We want to thank everyone who help us feel so at home in both Bolgheri and Roma. The beautiful dinners, private tours and loving hospitality will endure in our memory for a lifetime. We have made so many wonderful friends along the way, learned so much about wine, food and art and taken away gorgeous memories of the countryside and their culture. So we say arrivederci for now, but we know we will be back to our second home very soon. I will continue to study Italian so that I am speaking more fluently next time. Ronn is loved more than ever in Italy and loves Italy more than ever, so this love affair will continue I’m sure for years to come. It will feel good now to be back home with the animals and our friends who we have missed so much from all our traveling during the past few months.

Since Easter, we have had the most amazing food and wine ever in Italy. We have visited a couple of the premier vineyards, including Sara Di Vaira’s vineyard. Here is Ronn in a photo with Sara’s father. We picked our own vegetables to cook and experienced the Tuscan way of life. The girls have loved it so much that we have opted to stay and extra day and not go to Venice. We will go back in a couple of days by train to spend our last day in the beautiful castle of Laura Biagiotti before returning home. The Tuscan part of our vacation has felt very homey. I cooked fresh picked artichokes the other day and the girls found the biggest head of cabbage we have ever seen! Last night we had a beautiful seafood dinner on the beach.  Ronn has enjoyed tasting the wines and it seems that there are a lot of tourist visiting right now for the food and wine obviously, we can understand why. Today, I will go to a spa and relax with a massage and soak in the hot springs. The weather is amazing today, so the girls are excited to pick more vegetables, including wild asparagus and will make homemade pizza. Looking forward to good weather for our last days here in Italy.

We left Roma for the quiet of the countryside a couple of days ago and went to spend some time in the ancient 1000 year old castle of designer Laura Biagiotti. It sits on 444 acres that includes it’s own amazing golf course. After having lunch with Lavinia Biaigotti, we play a game of 9 holes on the green. Lavinia got a hole in one on the first hole and thus a competition started with Ronn to see who would win. Lavinia got a hole in one on the 9th hole and thus won!  I’ll post some funny video of it later. The girls got a private golf lesson and drove the golf carts around, while I went back to the castle to study some more Italian. Then we were introduced to the Italian Easter tradition of breaking giant chocolate eggs for a surprise inside. Unlike easter baskets filled with jelly beans and colored eggs, everyone gives their friends and family a giant chocolate egg with just about anything you can imagine inside. We had fun with this process and the girls got little necklaces. Ronn got a little box that he put some beautiful gold earrings in, a gift from Laura. It was sad to say goodbye to everyone at the castle and journey on by train to Florence. Ronn wanted to introduce Michelangelo’s “David”  to the girls. Even though I had seen it before, the 17 foot tall statue never ceases to impress. I think Ronn looks alot like the David now that he’s in such great shape from dancing. We then met Sara Di Vaira and her husband who took us to a little town called,” Buti” near Pisa. We had the most amazing Tuscan dinner on Good Friday. Fresh mussels, clams and squid, pasta ravioli with truffle sauce, spaghetti with rabbit and penne pasta. Then Ronn and I had a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our hotel room, so we had to celebrate going to see the leaning tower of Pisa today. We will continue on through the beautiful Tuscan countryside and visit some vineyards, including the Di Vaira winery and spend Easter with Sara’s family.  Hope you all are having a wonderful Easter weekend. Will post more pics and video later.

Our first family vacation to Italy is off to a pleasant start now that we are relaxing in the British Airways lounge. Although we weren’t sure if it was going to happen at all due to the British Airways strike that is taking place this weekend. I had calls from the airline that our flight was canceled from London to Rome and spent an hour on the phone booking an alternative flight. Then we didn’t receive Calee’s passport even though we renewed it well over a month ago. After spending more time on the phone with the passport agency and having more calls from British Airways saying that our new flight may now be interrupted, our nerves were on edge. I spent the past couple months planning the most special trip for us and everyone who knows me, knows I hate last minute changes. Calee’s passport finally arrived by federal express a half hour before we left for the airport and the traffic to the airport was massive, but as soon as we arrived at the British Airways check in, things began to take a turn for the better. We checked in almost effortlessly and went through security without much of a line, which is a first for me! Then we made our way to the lounge and ate something, so now the girls and Ronn are happy to be on their computers relaxing before our flight.  We are now looking forward to spending some quality time together is Rome, Venice, Florence and the Tuscan countryside over the next couple of weeks. It’s a perfect ending to Ronn’s Italian experience over the past few months and Italy really has become our second home. Spending Easter there with friends will truly be special and we plan to take lots of pics and video along the way. I will update you guys periodically on how it’s going and we hope to finally bring back Ronn’s huge trophy!

I feel deeply sadden by the death of actor Corey Haim. I happen to work him and his best buddy Corey Feldman on a comedy called, “Busted.” in the mid 90’s. He seemed to have his life back on track then, but I understand he had a constant battle with addiction. Winsor Harmon lived next door to him and said he was a really nice guy. My heart goes out to Corey Feldman whom I’ve know for long time. It is like the loss of a family member for him and 38 is just to young to die.

So far it’s been a fun week for us. We had a blast at the Laura Biagiotti fashion show and Ronn presented Laura with flowers at the end of the show. We stayed at the beautiful and prestigious Principe Di Savoia hotel and had a romantic dinner cooked at our table. Dan McVicar joined us at the fashion show and for lunch at Bice with Lavinia and some of her friends. We then headed back by train and stopped in Florence where Sara DiViara picked us up to drive us to her hometown, Bulgheri. This cutest little town I’ve ever seen and we were greeted by the entire community upon arrival. Then we had the most delicious tuscan food and stay in a sweet little hotel, woke up to a beautiful breakfast overlooking the scenic view of the town and Ronn signed autographs and took pictures with just about everyone.A Ballando crew was on hand to capture the moments as Sara gave us a tour of the vineyard and we stopped at her home to have lunch, compliments of her mother’s cooking. Their wine DiVaira is one of the best Italian wines we have had and the meal was complete with homemade lasagna and home grown vegetables that were so tasty and fresh. We continued walking through the town greeting everyone. I felt like I was campaigning for Ronn to run for Italy’s next president, as I took pictures with people, was kissed by a lot of grandmothers and held a lot of babies along the way. I got a lot of compliments on what I said to the jury in Italian last week on the show and the whole town had flyers and banners up that said, “Vote for Ronn and Sara.” We went around to several houses when “Beautiful” was on air and surprised a few people when they saw Ronn and Sara the their door. The day ended at the beach with a beautiful sunset and Ronn and I got a wonderful invitation to vacation at the prestigious Tombolo resort, which has the most amazing spa and view of the sea. We headed back to Rome and Ronn has been focused on dance lessons the rest of this week. He didn’t want the cast and crew from Ballando to do anything special for his birthday and it’s a usual work day of rehearsals for him. We will go out to dinner later to celebrate with a DiVaira bottle of wine, a present from Sara’s family. I will return home on Sunday after show number 8 and Ronn will stay until next Sunday so that he can get some more dance lessons in before the finals. I think it’s so cute how much he wants to win this competition now, considering I had to kick his butt to get him to do the show to begin with! Personally, I think they have an excellent chance of winning and predict that they will take home that huge trophy!

It was great to have Ronn home if only for a few days. All he can talk about is dancing. He really is excited about the progress he’s making and seems to be enjoying it. We have invited Sara to come to LA to visit for a few days next week, so that she and Ronn can practice a little more since he doesn’t get to as much as the other contestants. I look forward to her helping me with some Italian.  I went to a great charity event last week with my pals Wally and Lori for http://www.standupforkids.org/“Stand up for Kids.” It’s a charity that helps homeless teenagers get off the streets. Some of the cast from “Desperate Housewives” were in attendance. I’ve also managed to make some progress with all of my studies and feel I’m almost ready for my real estate exam. However, due to the fact that I will be going back to Italy in a couple of weeks with Ronn and then again for our Spring break vacation with the kids; I probably won’t be able to take it until late April.  I’m so looking forward to our first Valentine’s day as a married couple and will celebrate it with our dear friends Bob and Kira Lorsh at a private dinner party when Ronn returns home. He will then be home for 10 days, so we are looking forward to that and celebrating Creason’s 16th birthday! Geez it seems like yesterday she was 10 and three inches shorter than me, now I’m looking up all the time to her!  Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day filled with love and chocolate covered kisses.

It was great having Ronn home even though it was only for a couple of days. He really seemed exhausted and said this has been very hard on him, but as always, he seems to blaze through it. Working on B&B non stop and doing 7 shows this week didn’t give him much time with me and the girls, however we managed to have a lovely family dinner of stuffed pasta shells last night. He left in the wee hours of this morning heading back to Rome, this time for 10 days! Peter Beckett joined him on this trip and they will perform a little mini live acoustic concert in Rome. It is the longest we will be apart, since our wedding. I am deep into studying for my real estate license and still into learning Italian, so the quiet time alone is good for me right now. I’m also attending a dear friend’s birthday party on Saturday, so that should be fun. Personally, I don’t mind being alone, because I always seem to get so many things done. It’s been great to get back to the gym and I plan to start pole class again next week. I’m also finishing the edits on my next book, “True Age, Timeless Beauty” which is a guide for keeping your life in balance and finding the fountain of youth and all that you desire in life. I’m very excited to share personal secrets that I have learned over the years with everyone and have been writing this book for the past three years. I finally feel it’s almost finished. The DevRonn website is also going through a makeover and I’m currently taking meetings with potential investors to take it to the next level in marketing. We have a wonderful product that everyone seems to love as much as we do and it was made for a great cause, so I believe with all my heart that it will be in the supermarkets soon. Our dream is to make it available to a mass market. I am happy to announce my first personal appearance in years and will be signing autographed copies of my book, “The Truth About A Pinup Model” along with other memorabilia at the Pasadena Convention center, March 20th, 2010. Other celebrities joining me there are Ozzy Osbourne, Frank Stallone and Shirley Jones just to name a few of over 150 celebrities in attendance. Check out this link for more details and come and see me!

Ronn and I are heading home today and I can’t wait! Rome has been a wonderful experience, unlike any of my other trips here and Ronn feels the same way. We have made some terrific friends, like gorgeous Nancy Brilli and her adorable husband Roy, who cooked us an amazing dinner. Our beautiful dear friend, Lavinia Biagiotti treated us like royalty on Christmas, in her beautiful castle with her mother Laura and our new friend Loreto took us on that wonderful private tour of the Vatican and Sistine chapel and turned us on to a wonderful little restaurant we will never forget. Ronn is now having an emotional and unique experience with all the dancers on Ballando con le stelle and is having a lot of fun. Although, it’s alot of hard work, he is challenging himself with it and is excited to show Italy who Ronn really is. For so long, Italy has loved “Ridge” but hasn’t known the man who has brought him to life. I was very proud of him last night and thought he did a fabulous job, in spite of the critical comments made by the judges. They don’t understand that Ronn has had to work twice as hard as everyone else; in a shorter amount of time due to also shooting B&B. He will be flying back and forth every week to do B&B and will only have one good day to rehearse his dance for that week, whereas all the other dancers will have the whole week to prepare. I think what he did in the amount of time he has had to prepare is simply amazing! I’m sure as the show progresses, everyone will come to see who Ronn really is and how dedicated he is to his work and his fans. He appreciates so much the fans in Italy who has cast their votes for him. Until our next trip together…..

Today, was a long day. I went into the studio in Roma to do the 2nd fitting for my first suit for my first dance on Saturday night. In Italy, they make all the clothes, for a show like this, from scratch. So the formal suit is made one stitch at a time. Several fitting will take place to make sure it fits like a glove. That’s a lot of pins to stick my hands as I try and take it off each time. Really, these people are amazing in their dedication to making everything custom, and making everything perfect. I’m going to look GOOD even if I dance so so.

Once the fitting was done, I had my 2 hour dance lesson with Sara Di Vaira. She’s really patient with trying to teach me these different dances. She says I’m doing well but I sometimes feel like Quasi Moto desperately trying to learn Jive dancing. We dance in a very well lit rehearsal studio with 2 way mirrors on 2 sides of the room. Behind these mirrors are 3 cameras that follow our every move and frustration throughout the lessons. All of them. Did I mention, it gets up to what feels like about 120 degrees in there because of the intensity of the lights. These rooms double as tanning booths. Anyway, once we’re finished with the daily lesson, we try and dry off from loosing about 3 quarts of sweat, then get ready for going to the main studio where the actual show will be filmed LIVE Saturday night. There, we will rehearse for the first time with the actual live band. There must be 12 different cameras involved at all angles. Over the audience boom view, main 3 cameras on the floor, one semi-circle camera moving with us automatically as we move like they have with race horses along the side of the track. And of course the extreme close up that gets right into the muscles in your face twitching with how much your feet hurt. All part of the show.
Did I mention it was much cooler in this studio than our rehearsal studio. I think it only got to about 115 degrees.

Tomorrow, there’s more 2 hour dance lessons, and more rehearsal in the main studio with the band again. Then interviews and photo sessions for magazines and various newspaper articles. I must say, this band, which includes the typical rhythm section of drums, bass, keyboards and guitar…. Also includes horns, percussion, singers and a violin. They are a kickass band!

All for now, I must try and sleep. It’s almost 1am and my feets hurt!

Love to you all, Ronn

Ronn is feeling better, but still has a runny nose. It didn’t stop him from dancing his butt off on Saturday and I must say he is looking pretty damn good. Although, it’s hard work, two hours of dancing in a heated room due to all the lights and the filming of it, he is handling it all pretty well. Today he had the day off, so we went to see the Colloseum and Pantheon and did a lot of walking around the city. As always, everyone recognizes Ronn even with a hat on and glasses and want non stop photos. We went to the supermarket here for a few things we needed and the guy at the check out counter call his wife to have Ronn say hello. We went to get gelati and the girl behind the counter wanted a photo. We go to restaurants and the owners, cooks and waiters all want photos and autographs. He stops traffic and men, women and children call out Ronn Moss as he walk the streets. Crowds build if he stops for one picture and it can become crazy. It becomes tiring to walk the city with him as a result, so he ended up covering his face with a scarf and that seems to work, especially walking through the crowded streets of the shopping district. I’ve never seen so many people! Seems all the stores have sales of 30%-50% off after New Year’s eve so everyone goes shopping. This week will be non stop dance lessons and rehearsals for the live taping of “Ballando con le stelle” on Saturday night. So I will take a day to myself tomorrow and study more Italian, write and do some shopping alone. It’s been a great new year for us so far and we have really enjoyed touring Roma, making new friends, eating great Italian food and drinking some good vino. I will for sure need to hit the gym hard when I get home! Here is a video clip Ronn did of our trip so far.

Ronn and I had the most awesome day at the Vatican with a private tour given to us by our friend Loreto, compliments of our dear friend Valerio Ventura. Loreto is a camera man for the pope so he knows very well the Vatican and we got to visit the Sistine chapel and met father Bruno of the chapel Santanna, check out www.santanna.va which is a lovely private chapel for the citizens of Vatican city. Truly a world within a world Vatican city has so much history of course and it was quite a treat to see some of it privately. We also got to see the swiss guards who have been guarding the pope for 500 years and had a private tour of their quarters, which was quite interesting. It was becoming quite difficult to walk the streets of Rome with crowds of people recognizing Ronn and constantly asking for photos. Loreto then took us to a private restaurant for the most amazing lunch and Ronn and I headed back to the hotel because he is coming down with a slight cold. Because of this, we decided to decline our invitation to Italian actress Nancy Brilli’s home tonight and stayed in with a bottle of champagne to toast the new year. I wanted Ronn to rest because he has a full week of dance lessons before his first competition next week. I will post some photos and video soon as Ronn feels better and gives me something. Hope you all are having a wonderful new year!

Buon Anno!

Ronn has a full day of dance lessons and promos for Ballando con le stelle and then we will have a home cooked dinner with some friends. So far, Rome has been raining alot, but very romantic. We have officially started our ongoing honeymoon celebrating now three months of marriage on Christmas. Sara, Ronn’s dance partner is very nice and he is learning the quick step and the waltz right now. He has 10 dances to learn, so this is all very challenging for him. We are both learning Italian and he plans to say something on the show in Italian every week. I’m excited to see him in his first dance which will air Jan 9th. We visited the Vatican, but it was raining so much and there was too many people asking for a photo with Ronn that we will do a private tour of it later this week. Here is a little video of our visit to the Vatican.

[wpvideo 18lj8xZF]Ronn and I had a nice relaxing day in Rome walking around the shops and having lunch at Babington’s a unique tea house near the spanish steps. We then visited the boutique of Laura Biagiotti and had an early dinner. It’s so nice to spend our first Christmas as husband and wife in such a romantic and beautiful city like Rome. We plan to now relax in our hotel room and watch a Christmas movie and tomorrow we will spend the day at the home of Laura Biagiotti. But, for now would like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and hope Santa brings you all that you desire. Here is my little Christmas present to you of me singing “Santa Baby” with Johnny English playing piano.

Our flight from LA to Frankfurt was pleasant and smooth, but it started snowing as soon as we landed, which caused several delays and cancellations of flights. So we were stuck at the airport lounge waiting for nearly 9 hours. Ronn of course had fans from Egypt, Sweden and Germany on hand asking for autographs and photos. But, the lounge was completely full and the desk had a long line of people waiting the whole night for flight changes. It looked as though we were for sure going to have to spend the night in Frankfurt. I guess luck was on our side because we had the last flight out and arrived in Rome at about 1am. Needless to say, Ronn and I both couldn’t wait to sleep and sleep we did. We woke up today at 5pm, so we slept for about 14 hours! We don’t plan on leaving the room until tomorrow morning and am now catching up on emails. Thank God for sleep, it felt so good to wake up rested. Will keep you guys posted on our adventure here in Roma, so check back often.

Okay after a stressful hectic and very exhausting week, Ronn and I made it to the airport only to be told our flight is 3 hours delayed. So we are resting comfortably in the lounge and catching up with emails, drinking bloody marys and trying to learn some Italian. Personally, I never have liked traveling around this time of the year because of all the bad weather, would like nothing better than to stay home in front of the fireplace and wrap presents. Needless to say I got no Christmas shopping done this year, barely got Christmas cards out, but I plan to catch up on that in Rome, as well as, learn some Italian and study for my real estate license, finish my next book and blog of course. The most important thing is that Ronn and I can finally relax at least for the next few hours and maybe catch up on movies while flying. Hope you all are traveling safe and get to your destinations in time for Santa’s arrival.

Ronn is appearing on Italy’s version of “Dancing with the Stars” and over the next three months will be making trips back and forth to Rome nearly every weekend. It will be a big challenge for him because he will also be doing B&B and practicing dance routines with his partner here at home. He was on the show in 2007 and did the “Tango.” Although, I thought he did a wonderful job, he had only a few hours to learn the dance, so it was alot of pressure on him and it isn’t something he most comfortable with like acting or singing. So I’m going with him for love and support this trip and it will be nice to celebrate our first Christmas and New Year there together as a married couple. Check out his Tango on the show from 2007

Okay I’m finally getting around to Ebay and I apologize for how long it’s taken to get things going again, but for the next two weeks only Ronn and I both will be putting up some cool things with NO RESERVE, so check them out and start bidding. You can get Ronn’s scarf right now ! and his limited edition tour CD that features “Baby Come Back”, these are limited so when they are gone they are gone! If you haven’t read or purchased my book yet, now is the time. those are also limited for signatures, as I only have a few on hand to autograph. During Christmas through New Year’s we won’t be processing any orders because we will be out of town, so happy bidding for the next two weeks!
